SportsReza Parastesh Pretended To Be Lionel Messi To Sleep With 23 Women by skypper(op): 7:20am On Jun 26, 2019
There is a man in Iran who looks similar to Lionel Messi and, as such, he has looked to use that to his advantage by seducing women.

Reza Parastesh, the Messi lookalike, has reportedly slept with 23 women, though his actions have been denounced by the authorities.
It all started two years ago when his father asked him to pose in Messi's Barcelona shirt, with the photo quickly going viral before Parastesh earned the nickname 'fake Messi'.
Due to the similarity between the two, Parastesh even cut his hair and grew his beard like the Barcelona captain, thus increasing his likeness to Messi

The Katsina State Government has adopted the Co-Teaching Policy as part measures aimed at addressing redundancy and the increasing glut of teaching personnel in schools in the state

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Hajia Halima Othman told The nation yesterday in an exclusive interview in her office said the measure is part of efforts by the state government to ensure that the services of the growing number of teachers in the pool, are effectively deployed, while at the same time improve on the content and quality of learning by pupils

She said’’ the co –teaching Policy ensures maximum utilization of available manpower, proper assessment of the academic activities of students and rational management of classroom populations and activities like maintaining class register curb truancy and absenteeism amongst teachers’’
She further explained that under the Policy, a class room population is pegged at 50 with a teacher handling each set. Two teachers may also be deployed to handle a class, with one teaching at a particular lesson hour while the other takes care as form master, like marking the register, checking class works and assignments.

On the issue of out of school syndrome, which has seen quite a number of Children roam the streets daily without embracing the opportunity to acquire formal education, she said the state government is presently addressing the challenge through advocacy, expansion of existing infrastructure, and the provision of learning materials and technology

She acknowledged the leadership efforts of Governor Aminu Bello Masari especially in the recruitment of teaching personnel which she said is presently more than sufficient for the available classrooms, as well as the improved funding and infrastructural development of the education sector

She said ’’Governor Masari’s magic wand in ensuring teacher availability has roundly paid off, as we received personnel from NYSC, Permanent appointments, S Power, Volunteers, Part time, , Colleges of Education and from other sources’’

‘’The pooling together of these personnel however overstretched our requirements and rendered some of them redundant hence the device of the co-teaching policy as a way forward’’

PoliticsCharles Idahosa: Blame Oshiomhole for Edo Assembly crisis by skypper(op): 12:38pm On Jun 20, 2019
A former Political Adviser to former Governor Adams Oshiomhole, Mr. Charles Idahosa, has explained why Oshiomhole’s should be blamed for imbroglio that characterised the inauguration of the 7th Edo State House of Assembly.

Idahosa said Oshiomhole’s continued silence in the alleged rift with Governor Godwin Obaseki was responsible for some lawmakers-elect to dare the State Working Committee of the APC.

Speaking in a chat with newsmen, Idahosa said Governor Obaseki had spoken out that there was no rift with Oshiomhole but that the refusal of Oshiomhole to speak out meant consent to activities of the Edo Peoples Movement, a group whose aim is to stop Governor Obaseki from getting a second term ticket.

He described the situation as a tragic-comedy where the people are happy with Governor Obaseki but those that brought him to power want Obaseki out of power

PoliticsMinisterial Appointment: Buhari Under Fire Over Delay In Constituting Cabinet by skypper(op): 11:52am On Jun 20, 2019
The Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere has berated President Muhammadu Buhari over his delay in constituting the cabinet to serve in his second term.

Afenifere’s National Publicity Secretary, Yinka Odumakin described Buhari’s delay in appointing Ministers as worrisome.
Featuring on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Odumakin said: “I think that what is going on, 21 days (after the inauguration) and no announcement made yet, is worrisome.
“It is worrisome because when you look at South Africa when President Cyril Ramaphosa came into power recently, it didn’t take him a week to have his cabinet in place.”
The Afenifere’s spokesperson also faulted President Buhari’s process of retaining some appointees.
He wondered why the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, the Chief of Staff to President, Abba Kyari and presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu among others have retained their positions without being reappointed.

“If the appointment that does not require going to the Senate is not being made and old people continue to function in a way that is not so legal, it gives (cause for some worry).

“Even the President himself did not rely on the oath he took in 2015, he had to take a new oath,” he added

Politics‘Bury Your Head In Shame’ – Oyegun To APC by skypper(op): 11:11am On Jun 20, 2019
Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, has dismissed attempts by some members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling party to rubbish his legacies.

He specifically asked such persons to bury their heads in shame.

National Vice Chairman of the APC (North-Central), Ahmad Suleiman Wambi, yesterday, accused Oyegun of unjustly attacking the National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole with whom he was engaged in a series of bitter altercations in recent weeks.

According to Wambi, Oyegun’s criticisms of Oshiomhole’s stewardship in the APC was borne out of malice and grudges over his removal from the leadership of the ruling party.

But, Oyegun said he would not join issues with Wambi and his co-travellers because they were struggling to remain afloat and relevant in the party.

Oyegun, in a statement by his Adviser on Public Affairs, Chief Ray Murphy, said that those accusing him of harbouring grievances against the party were merely diverting attention from the confusion they created in the party after the bribery scandal that trailed the last primary elections.

The former National Chairman of the APC said that contrary to the insinuations in some quarters, he left the party in a state in which members of the party were proud of and was therefore not bitter about his exit.
He said, “The party leadership should rather bury their heads in shame for losing five states. Instead of wearing sack clothes to beg APC members to forgive them, they are busy looking for whom to cast aspersions on.

“As a grandfather, he (Odigie-Oyegun) won’t join issues with people that are still confused over the bribe they collected and confusion they created during the party primaries.

“They should know that Chief Oyegun, as an 80-year-old has moved on and as an elder statesman, he wishes the party success in all its doings. And in doing so, he wishes that the people who run the party will learn the politics of decorum, diplomacy and how to speak in public.”

PoliticsGovernor Ihedioha Dragged To Court For Sack Of 27 Councillors by skypper(op): 11:04am On Jun 20, 2019
Suspended councillors of the 27 councils in Imo State have dragged the governor, Emeka Ihedioha, to the Federal High Court, Owerri, to challenge their sack.

Also joined in the suit were the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Imo Commissioner for Justice and the House of Assembly Speaker.
In the suit, FHC/CS/75/2019, the 604 former councillors sought an order restraining the defendants from terminating or abridging their tenure as elected legislators of the 27 councils in Imo or replacing them with transition committee members.

They also sought declaration of their suspension on June 3, 2019 by the House of Assembly as unlawful, null and void, considering that they were elected by their constituents and certificated by Imo State Independent Electoral Commission (ISIEC).

Briefing newsmen in Owerri, yesterday, their leader, Godwin Nwankwo, said they were determined to resist the recent ‘illegality’ by the Ihedioha administration.
Nwankwo said, “It is now unconstitutional in Nigeria for any governor or House of Assembly to dissolve or suspend duly-elected council executives. We are going to seriously oppose this illegality at any level.”

CrimeBandits: New CP Opts For Dialogue, Over Fire Power, In Zamfara by skypper(op): 9:11pm On Jun 14, 2019
As government intensifies efforts to end activities of bandits in Zamfara, the state’s new Commissioner of Police (CP), Mr Usman Nagogo, has said that he would deploy dialogue, as against fire power, to tackle the trend.

Nagogo made his position known at a press briefing where he formally met with media practitioners in the state.

“The activities of cattle rustlers, armed bandits and kidnappers affect many parts of the country, but the situation appears particularly bad in Zamfara. Here, the criminals are more sophisticated and daring,” he said.

The CP, who chaired the Special Committee on Disarmament and Amnesty set up by former governor Abdulaziz Yari in 2016, when he was then a Deputy Commissioner of Police in the state, recalled that the committee recorded some success before it was disbanded.

“We were able to build some level of trust between the government and the bandits; we opened channels of communication and contact which led to the recovery of 13 to 15 different calibres of arms, including a rocket launcher.

“With the zeal and enthusiasm of the present governor, Bello Matawalle, toward ending the violence, the Police will partner with other sister agencies to rid Zamfara of this security challenge.

“To achieve this goal, more of dialogue, and less use of force, is desirable. In 2016, dialogue was applied and it worked. We shall build on that,” he said.

He hinted that he would adopt the new policing strategy of the Inspector-General of Police, Mr Mohammed Adamu, which is hinged on promoting community participation that would involve traditional rulers and other stakeholders to achieve desired objectives.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that the new CP, who holds a Masters Degree in Law, replaces Mr Celestine Okoye, who has been transferred to the Force Headquarters, Abuja. (NAN)
