The Igbos are very strategic set of people. There's still time and enough room to maneuver.

RockHard: As in. You can't expect to be begged to come and be president. It's not done. You have to show serious ambition towards it then others that support your cause will fall inline. As it stands, i am willing to bet you that Igbo's would rather vote for a Northern PDP candidate against an APC Igbo candidate in 2023. That is how disinterested they are about it. Igbos are very strategic people. There's still time and enough room to maneuver. "No need to start breaking palm kernels for a breadfruit still hanging on the tree." - Chinua Achebe, 1966. |

Xander85: And that’s Nigeria summed up nicely for you: a shithole where the presidency is allocated based on which ethnic group is considered ‘serious’ and which is not! I think it has to do with the orientation of the people. When awolowo started giving free education, he didn't see that all brainless people will jump in and add confusion to their low IQ, The result is rubbish mentality as enunciated by the above article where the writer is writing as if he is addressing a set of mentally challenged audience. Pity. |

Excaperx: A thread was brought to front-page to show a "road" been done well as you can expect some bitter people turned it to state bashing.
They forgot the "road" was in a rural areas like every Nigeria state there are some undeveloped places. What makes you think Benin is more beautiful than Ibadan ? |
Politics › Re: Some Drone Pictures Of Skyline In Edo State by SLAP44: 7:58pm On May 17, 2019 |
Rossikk: My friend chill with those pics..... Even by Nigerian standards, those pics are not impressive. Just ok.
Look, let's not kid ourselves, Benin City, one of the most beautiful and most famous cities in African history, a place that drew explorers from far and wide in antiquity. A city that was compared favourably in the 1600s to Amsterdam and Lisbon by European visitors.
Benin City should be looking better. Quote me on that.
Do you realise that Benin City had street lights as early as the 1400s?
300 years before London or any other city in Europe had them.
Every evening the main streets were lit by palm oil-fuelled mounted steel lamps, many several feet high.
They even had underground drainage. Something that is rocket science for their descendants 500 years down the line.
https://www.theguardian.com/cities/2016/mar/18/story-of-cities-5-benin-city-edo-nigeria-mighty-medieval-capital-lost-without-trace
So Benin should and MUST look better going forward. Egba mi, even ado ekiti has overtaken Benin |

If it's igbo people that are voting like confused people, yorubas will still yab them for not being United. Now its yorubas that can't speak with one voice, they call it suffisticated. |

Igbokwe came to Lagos a poor man, same as Coscharis and Emoney, they all slept on the street or became Bus conductors at one point of their hustle... But they couldnt go back to east as that wasnt an option. Yoruba accomodated them, they were'nt victimised for their religious believe or ethnicity, they enjoyed patronage of the locals. They thrived hard and became somebody, while their Igbo mates in Northern Nigeria Faced multiplte religious riot, Ethnic massacre, Intimidation,. Yorubas welcome them with both hands allowed some of them marry and even build houses without discrimination.
This is why I walk tall and am Grateful to God for making me a Yoruba man, we are educated, easygoing , fun loving, respectful, open minded and ACCOMODATING. Even if someof them are ungrateful to us, and pay our kindness with evil... we still show them love. because we are Omoluabi
