Theakthedream: Seee hypocrisy... What is the meaning of the boled. Below..
There is no tribe in Nigeria that hate/discriminate against Islam more than you Igbos... #fact And so _fucking what? If we discriminate against Islam you think we don't have good reasons too? First,Islam doesn't sit well with the Igbo way of life (and it never will). Secondly, looking at the millions that perish to Islam everyday in this modern world you think it's not enough to keep Islam at a distance? Hell, even the civilized whites have a good doze of Islamophobia so sod off hypocrite. Seems you're Yoruba. *Spits* Your Igbophobia stinks from a mile away. |

[s] EazyMoh: Lol No you are just irked by the prospects of having Muslims among your tribe. I understand a brainwashed and narrow minded ethnocentric person finds it heart to believe such. If not why would it bother you this much? The fact that you agreed there even if they are only one person makes the joke "..go tell your Ebonyi Muslim brethren.." valid. I know you wish there is no single Igbo Muslim, fortunately there is and I don't see anything wrong with it. Actually it will do good for your civilization, the diversity will give your region the appeal it lacks to attract outsiders. Finally you shall grow thick-skin towards these online insults and propaganda they mean nothing. [/s] |

[s] oglalasioux: Yes. If I can name them English names why not Arabic names?
The contribution to modern civilisation by Arabs cannot be quantified especially in the field of mathematics. It's Islam that came and diminished that glory.
If not for Islam, Arabic would have been the central language of science and business just as English is today. I still stand by my words that Arabic is older and greater than Islam! [/s] |

[s] fratermathy: Everyone should note that the person behind this moniker is NOT an Isoko person. He is an impersonator (definitely Igbo) using the Isoko name to score cheap points in his BIAfra propaganda war. Isoko people have made their points clear on the Biafran Struggle several times already. Little does he know that he is further causing more damage between Igbos and Isokos by his blatant disrespect for a people via impersonation.
Besides, no true Isoko person would use such despicable username (you need not spell it out for people to know who you are, except there is an ulterior motive).
Everyone should treat this account as that of an IMPERSONATOR! Do not take anything he says using the Isoko tag seriously. I challenge him to come out and prove me wrong in the full view of all.
I apologise, on behalf of myself and all Isokos, for any damage he may have caused in the course of his impersonation on Nairaland. Isokos are NOT Biafrans, never were, and never would be! The only authorised platform to say ANYTHING definite on Isoko people is the Isoko Development Union. [/s] Did someone say the thing is a father to kids? That's quite unfortunate. |

[s] Demmzy15: It has a lot to do, there's a great discrimination against Igbo Muslims. There's was even a thread showing Igbo Muslim sisters and many labelled them prostitutes, others claim they're for money(this is a big lie because all I've met are genuine who are refuting Christianity) and many other allegations.
We saw the campaign of IPOB who are known Islamophobes, even Biafra under Ojukwu was kinda Islamophobic, Ojukwu wanted to paint the war like "Muslim North vs Christian South". Islam is the fastest growing religion in Igboland, you'll begin to see more, but what we're scared of is how they'll be treated by their tribesmen! [/s] Just go. |
Politics › Re: About 'Ebonyi /Igbo Muslims ' by SlayerForever: 6:01pm On Sep 25, 2017 |
[s] Demmzy15: I've met some Igbo Muslims from Imo, Ebonyi and Enugu. Those from Ebonyi and Enugu came to pray at our secondary school mosque and distributed some pamphlets. The one from Imo became a Muslim at a young age when his father reverted, most of his family are Muslims now. He complained about how most of his uncles have cutoff from their family because of Islam.
A colleague of mine in university was lamenting about how Rochas is "islamizing" Imo state by building mosques everywhere, he claimed some Igbos are becoming Muslims due to this policy!
The sad reality is, minorities would suffer a lot in Biafra. That's the plain truth! [/s] What on God's green earth does the last paragraph have to do with the story you typed? |

BabaRamota1980: So you want to live everywhere in Nigeria without restriction but you want exclusion of certain people from your area, abi?
Small time now you will begin cry of marginalization, that you are excluded from certain things. No be so? Abokii and Afonja can smash their heads to pieces on the ground if they want. The growth of Islam among Igbo brethren is the bone of contention here. |

yungmill: You maybe right to some extent as that is the case with the ikwerres but not so with those West of the 9ja, even my dad experienced what I said earlier, some of the eastern igbos I have met see us more as impure breed with ancestry from other tribes in delta up to Benin, or conquered people of Benin empire how stupid. When many like the new Obi of Issele ukwu will go to Benin to bow to the Oba why won't it be so?! It is shameful to people in the SE. I'm not defending the whole fake Igbo tag;it is silly, but this stereotypes are fueled by such actions. |

[s] ankpaa: Ha ha why dont we have the Emirate in Igala land if the Caliphate captured us, you people are very lucky Igala kingdom is right north on top of your area , we neutralised the caliphate invasion. The invasion down towards south east was stopped on our land otherwise by now all your Biafra areas would have been under the control of the caliphate you are all insulting and calling names these days. [/s] Oga you're yarning nonsense. The Igala did not stop any invasion. The descendants of Uthman Dan Fodio dealt Igala a heavy blow and sent many running for cover in Igbo land. Today, many Igala are Muslims. The sojourn of the descendants of Uthman Dan Fodio met resistance on getting to Tiv land and not Igala. You guys literally bent over to be nailed by the descendants of Dan Fodio. |

[s] ankpaa: This is Just a reference to show that you people were slave to other tribes before the colonial system. Because igbos are always quick to call others tribes (especially we northern minorities/middle belt ) as slaves of Hausa/Fulani whenever we disagree. So how about this well documented story with traces till today. [/s] O yes! I forgot to face this issue of the Igbo been slaves to others. Well that's revisionism and you're not even good at it. Take for instance,if the Igala were imposing order and societal structure every where they went then why do they use our(Igbo) 4 days a week system till tomorrow? Why the imitation na? Again, what's the fetish Igala has with Igbo names? They can't get enough of it,why? Again, iron works and weapons had long been manufactured in Igbo land before any escapade from the Attah brought him near Nsukka. Oga get your facts straight o |
