Nice write-up. I haven't been opportuned to observe the Ikorodo dance. Our culture and tradition(Omenana) is very rich (and also very interesting) and is the most cherished part of our heritage. That the average Igbo is proud of being Igbo is mostly due to his cultural heritage. It is one to be proud of,Kponkwem. |
Politics › Re: Is IPOB And MASSOB Fighting The Same Cause? by SlayerSupreme: 9:51am On Sep 27, 2016 |
They are fighting for the same thing albeit with very different approaches. There's now a break away faction of Massob with Uchenna Madu as leader with the other (also known as BIM-Biafra Independence Movement) still led by Uwazurike, who is a sellout and usually tries to counter the efforts of both the breakaway Massob and the blessed IPoB. |

genieluv: Well, for as long as i know, most igbos do not regard Anioma people as true igbos unless when it comes to issues of their own favour. The reason why most anioma people do not see themselves as igbo is because the characters of both people are very different and the cultural outlook and view of life too differs. There is this character that the real igbos posses that we anioma people do not posses. Even though i did not grow up in Anioma (my father's original place), i can still tell the difference between real anioma people and igbos whenever i come across them. Igbos have to change their ways and negative lifestyles before we Anioma people can ever think of accepting full igbo identity, consciousness and pride. Though it's not as if we hate igbos o, some of them are very nice but i don't just know, there is this distance between both divides. The bolded is the problem. Infact, that was the point Donarozzi was trying to pass across which totally went over your head. There's no particular negative lifestyle of the Igbo people. That's the kind of statement you get from some envious Yoruba people. Unfortunately, your people have picked it up and now that is the nonsense your elders(parents inclusive) feed you with. The same nonsense they were fed with soon after the war. The same nonsense you'll probably feed your kids. And the circle continues. Complete nonsense!!! Give us an example of the negative lifestyle peculiar to only Igbo people? |

Henrypraise: I Sumtyms imagine Nigeria to be a relationship, d northerners are d husband's, while d rest regions ar d wives. d west is d most favoured wife, d east is d hated wife, d ss is d teenage wife, she is very close to d east n had been told n seen dat d husband is wicked n unfair, d ss cannot be hated no matter how much d husband wants to hate her cos she cooks d best dish dat feeds d husband, his wives n concubines (Niger, chad, Togo n Cameroon).
d husband is angry n as such wants to learn how to cook d dish himself, d more he tries d more d Eastern wife laughs, "its like he is trying to get himself pregnant" says d eastern wife. d west has her displeasures wit d husband but she enjoys d position of most favoured wife, so she is calm n at peace.
if d 48" export line is blown, den I fear d husband has bin castrated.... his fingers or tongue cannot do a thorough job. I just died laughing out loud! |

HopeAtHand: I think the posture of the different govt of each SE state determines the reaction of their populace to Baifra/IPOB.
I saw someone uploaded pictures of an empty market in Oyigbo as Port Harcourt, and claimed we were observing Baifra sit-at-home protest. Very laughable indeed!! Don't make yourself look stupid. The sit-at-home hit parts of Port like harmattan. Everywhere was dry. Obigbo thumbs up. Very unprecedented. Just swallow the shame pill and move on. |

Ikechukwu48: Unfortunately I don't live in Africa. But I did speak to my cousin this morning (which is your guys afternoon)...according to him, aniomaland is currently shut down too. You only see few set of people walking around. Agbor is the only area with the highest movement but even at that, the movement is limited...way smaller than it usual is. (And yes he did drive around..he drove from home to warrri). If I get the opportunity to call again before it's night time in Nigeria, I'll have him send me pictures and I'll post it here.
Sorry I couldn't deliver in person...I no dey home....only I can give is here say. No shii. You've done well already. Biafra all the way. |

calyto: Nice one. I think you guys should try sitting at home for 1 week.
It is going to be super cool.
Wetin concern Idoma man? We wey fulani no kill don go back to farm. Life continues just as GEJ the founder and financier of IPOB, AVENGERS and MEND has moved on.
Even Modu Sheriff the grand patron of BH and your party chairman has moved on since the Nigerian Army started changing their reggae to blues.
Ojukwu- The man who coined that word 'Biafra' moved on a looooonnng time ago before his demise. He even went further to contest for political positions but you guys and your DILECTOR who is presently serving jail term in the zoo deliberately refused to vote for him. You all sold your votes to a bloody Yoruba man who his own people didn't like.
The same man who is behind your agitations was presiding over the affairs of this country for six years, he claimed that he built a 30km road but he refused or forgot to remember the sorry state of South-Eastern roads.
Wouldn't it be great seeing a Biafran republic? A home of drug traffickers, human traffickers, fake pastors, armed robbers and habitual debtors who leave their borrowers with no option than to stand stack naked in front of their gate?

She doesn't like it but I had to beg her yesterday not to step a foot outside and advise her to encourage her fam to do same.
I no wan hear stories biko. Make IPOB they do their own. Many would observe the sit at home to avoid intimidations from the Pro-biafrans and not because they want to identify with their cause. [/s] Bull_shit |

There is even a thread about that in nairaland here.
Now, that we are on this issue, I think a thread should be opened to discuss the implications of the new distortion Wike made to that Rivers state official website. Any thread on the issue? |

chukzyblingz: We're on same page on two things. First you subtly admitted There is an Igbo denials in Onitsha and despite the denials, Onitsha people feel more at home with other Igbos than Anioma people for some obvious reasons. This is why it's outrageous to even think of categorizing those towns completely alienated from Anioma land and happenings in Anioma areas as Anioma town. The lost Ika people will continue to look for others to pull into their identity crises. They pull Asaba in all the time. They pull Ogwashi-ukwu too but it never works. You people are pitiable. Igbo denial can never work in SE whether in Onicha or anywhere else. Benin slave your ploy is DOA. |

They are not and will never be original Ika people. They are the ones causing this problems. Every Edo and Urhobo descendant should return to their place. Period! |

saint7000: Typical yorubba. I don't know what's wrong with this people. The earlier SS and SE realize that Yorubba is the monkey wrench/obstacle to our unity, the better for us.
It was the same divisive tendency that made an Ikwerre man flog a yorubba man last two months in Igwuocha(Port Harcourt) for telling him he is not Igbo. The Ikwerre man chased him with a chain, flogged the living divisive demon out of the yorubba man; he was pleading " I no talk again oh, I no know sey you be Igbo". Took the swift arrival of police to stop a mob attack. I keep warning you people...its one thing to be divisive online, and another in real life. This is not 1967, SS are wiser now and very angry for all the division and theft of their resources. Lol. I can just picture the yarigba man's ugly face |
