I have worked in the NIgerian Oil industry and I could eeasily agree to this, because the security cooefficient for working in Nigeria is about 65-90% of your basic salary and allowances. Hence, you could get up to 190% of your income if you were working in the US, UK or other western region. But this is only applicable to expats. Expats in the oil industry are highly paid in NIgeria. In the Middle East, the pay is also as high. Not sure wat the difference is though.

Where YOB = Year of Birth.
x = Shoe size

20(5x + 50) + 1012 - YOB

= (100x + 2012) - YOB 


Hence, the 1st 2 digits give you 00 - YOB (Hence, year of birth)

And 2nd 2 digits give you 2012 -YOB (Age).

Otherwise, they need to count their losses as bad debts and make better lending decisions in the future, i.e ask for collateral. My conclusion: you owe nobody. Initiate the aforementioned processes to lay claims to the non-collaterized assets.

It is not Bakare alone who saw that the north will boil if they are cheated in this election; any body who could read the political situation of Nigeria would know where we were going. It is amazing how CPC supporters expect 0 vote for PDP in the North. Could someone remind them that majority of the Northern States are governed by PDP. This same states have PDP local government chairmen and PDP ward councillors.
It is these grassroot leaders that mobilize the rural women, men & children to register and to vote.

I cannot imagine Buhari fanatics complaining about the over 25% registered in KADUNA (Vice President's state) for PDP!!
How many SE & SS states did BUhari campaign in?
Does CPC have the manpower to reach the grassroots in the SE & SS??
PDP has the finances and supporters in the South and all the votes go only to the candidate the grassroot have heard about - GOODLUCK.

It's sad that the election was conducted along religious lines but GEJ had a wider spread of acceptability and penetration considering the heavy presence of PDP goverment in the North & South. In the West, ACN supporters grossly changed voting lines and supported PDP in the presidential election after the selfishness & desperation of Buhari emerged from the merger talks between CPC & ACN.

Let us accept the peaceful election GEJ & his namesake, JEGA has given us.

He got a 2-year visa to the US based on the conference, not in Nigeria but in United Kingdom consulate, London. I want to know if they could send him back on arrival at US airport for not coming to the US on the basis of his visa confirmation, since he stated he was coming to the US for the conference.

My friend was issued a 2 years multi-entry visa to the U.S on the basis of his intention to attend a conference in May but he can no longer attend the conference but intends to go to the U.S in July i.e. two months after the conference. What are the consequences of him not going to U.S for the conference since it was on that basis he was given the visa.

I want to apply for a U.S visa but my friend discouraged me from doing so, he said they are rejecting all applications from Nigerians. Can someone attest to this fact, or is there someone who has succeeded in getting his/her visa. i.e for 1st time applicants, not renewals.

The increases are so unfair? What were the justification for making such drastic increase in this period of economic meltdown with so many bread winners losing their jobs. I heard the VC already sent his daughter away to America. The Government had beta do something about this, and suprisingly it is not yet in any of the national television (poor coverage of the media houses). Na wa for this country oh!!

EFCC arrests Arik Air’s chief pilot

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Tuesday, visited Arik Air’s headquarters in Lagos, halted administrative activities, and arrested the airline’s chief pilot, Victor Egonu.

According to the airline, the EFCC’s visit was on the grounds that the airline is irregular in its tax payments.

The media representative for Arik, Banji Ola, confirmed the arrest. “The anti-graft agency personnel have since left, but have taken away our chief pilot, Captain Victor Egonu,” he said.

He further disclosed that the carrier’s normal operations were affected.

An effort to get the EFCC spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, to comment on the incident was not successful, as his phone was busy at press time.

Arik Air has been in the news lately for its decision to protest the handover of the General Aviation Terminal (GAT) to Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited.

The airline accused Bi-Courtney of wanting to impose a monopoly on the sector, saying the matter was being challenged in court, and all parties were expected to stay action until it was resolved, threatening to halt its services if the federal government failed to reverse the planned handover.

Employees of various aviation unions took to the streets in protest, and the senate aviation committee moved to suspend the action. However, the terminal was handed over by the aviation at about 6.30pm on Saturday, September 19.

Bi-Courtney, on its part, insists that its concession agreement with the federal government gives it rights over all domestic flights in Lagos. “Exclusivity is a feature of any concession contract and not private monopoly. Exclusivity is one of the safeguard to ensure returns for the concessionaire,” it said.

Upon the handover, Arik’s acting managing director, Chris Ndulue, backtracked on the original threat to halt operations, saying the airline had a duty of care to its passengers.
