Dear Louis Van Gaal, When I saw your first press conference as Manchester United manager, I was convinced United would finish in a Champions League spot this season without the team even having kicked a ball. Reason being that, I thought you brought that one sentiment to our squad, which Moyes took and threw out of the window; frankness. I was absolutely bowled over by your fantastic personality, your arrogant yet straightforward attitude and your ability to say what you had in your mind without being too diplomatic. Suddenly, I just couldn't wait for the first match of the campaign to kick-off. And when it did, it absolutely shattered my heart. However, somehow, I pacified myself by thinking that, 'this is just one game'. However, that self- satisfactory mode was becoming increasingly difficult to handle, because of your persistence to stick with three men at the back. It was destroying us, game by game and almost everybody realised that except you. When you eventually did decide to revert to a back four, the result couldn't have been more spectacular: a 4-0 drubbing of Harry Redknapp’s QPR. However, over the Christmas period, you've again shown a peculiar interest in the 3-5-2, and that has resulted in us being able to rack up a paltry 6 points from 15, which were on disposal. Yesterday, Southampton, who had never won a game at Old Trafford in 27 years, came over and conquered us. I wouldn't say that United were very bad or were completely outplayed. Although, there is always that sense of nervousness, whenever the opoosition are on the ball and are thinking of bombarding our backline. Having done a decent job through the course of the game, our back three couldn't step up and assume responsibility when it mattered the most and as a consequence, Southampton went ahead and grabbed the all-important winner. This is not a thing, which occurred in yesterday's match for the first time. It has been showing up in almost every match United have played in and it's blatantly evident that the three men at the back concept is not there to stay. I understand that with the number of injuries the squad has, there have been instances when you didn't really have any choice other than incorporating a back three. However, yesterday, with Shaw back and fit, Valencia could have very well be used as a make-shift right-back which would have allowed United to deploy an extra midfielder in the middle of the park and therefore provide the much- needed solidity. Quite evidently, that's not what you had in mind. This club is not accustomed to playing with a three man defense and by the look of it, it appears that it will never be. For all the progress and philosophy you've been talking about, a startling reality check could be provided by this stat; United had the same number of points at this stage of the campaign last season with the same amount of games played. It looks like your stubbornness has overtaken the basic sense of logic, which says that United should start with a defense consisting of four defenders. The simple reason behind that is the player's are more accustomed to it and have a sense of assuredness coupled with confidence that goes with it. Having said that, I still believe that your are the ideal candidate to lead the club and bring back the good old days of cheer back to Old Trafford. I would, therefore request you to assess the situation and use a four-man-defense in contrast to the three which is being used now. Our players haven't got used to it and may never get to terms with it. Another season without Champions League football would be diabolical to say the least. Better late than never. Yours sincerely, A Red Devil. |

"I've been in this prison for the past few months, this is this first time an Islamic organization has ever paid us a visit. Many of our fellow Muslim inmates have joined in the activities of the Christians owing to their frequent visits and promises to look into our files. We appeal to muslims all over to kindly often pay us visits and give us consoling talk as you have done to strengthen our imaan and not feel neglected..." The above speech was made by a muslim inmate (prisoner) at Badagry Prison during an humanitarian visit by Guild of Muslim Professionals. Subuhanallahi! The Christians have been practicing the sunnah of The Prophet (saw) than we the custodians... To save this scenario and say we care to the yearnings of these fellow, it is advised that every muslim that get this message should pass it across to their mosque committee, that they should include at least 3 humanitarian visit to their annual calendar: 1st is a visit to the hospital 2nd is a visit to the motherless baby home 3rd is a visit to prisons Note: It is your decision that will determine the number of Muslims that get this message. So feel free to forward it. # ItsIslamOrNothing #. |

"Facebook is not your diary, neither is it your life, stop treating it as such. Its really not worth it. The alarming rate at which people mince their real life with facebook life.Z Z Is it some sort of search for a cheap attention or what? This especially affects ladies much. Dispute these if you think I'm wrong! Being single is not easy o, It's good to be married, when will I get married? These married sisters are intimidating us etc...... Are you placing yourself on advert or what? Are you making it seem like Allaah is being unfair to you? Are you seeking unnecessary pity? Are you seeking cheap attention? Oh Allaah, bless we singles with pious spouses...Is facebook your praying mat? Think! My husband is the best husband in the world. I'm so grateful to have this kind of husband, my hubby my pride, He's the coolest man maashaa Allaah etc........... Who asks you to describe your husband? Who are you giving the thanks to on fb? I guess not to Allaah (SWT)... Are you intimidating some people who had failed marriages? Think! Beware of evil eyes, evil minds who are not happy with your marital success. If you're thankful......say it to Allaah, not to Facebook! .....and If your marriage is not working, say it to Allaah, don't complain on fb. Beware of those who will be happy because you're unhappy. IVC on point, KBC loading, Halqah mode activated, Madrasah on my mind, it's Jumah..reading surah Khaf etc.... Must we know all that you think you do for Allaah's sake? Must you announce all your Ibaadah? Think! Hide your good deeds like you hide your sins. Since you don't announce when you pile up solaat, so? Don't sell away your reward for nothing on facebook! Don't sell it for 50likes and 100comments, it isn't worth it! You aint doing it for your fb friends, so why update them? Maa shaa Allaah, my new Jilbaab is so cute! Niqabi and proud, I feel cool in this Khimar etc.... So what? Fine, you wear the niqab, why announce it? Concealing the hijaab itself is hijaab...u get? Come on sis! Stop being childish, If you're cool in your hijaab, alhamdulillaah, I see no how that is important to your facebook timeline......u nless it's for showoff, which of course is unislaamic. Infact, it's a babyish act. Eating pounded yam and egusi soup, delicious chicken and chips on point, come and join....etc. Posting pictures of dishes, updating where you are (eg at shoprite)....all these and the likes are merely display of immaturity. Think! A muslim doesn't showoff or intimidate, not evryone can afford that dish you posted, please don't make people feel cheated.... These are just to mention a few of the things that I think are not worth sharing on facebook. I believe we know the likes of these....as I can't mention all. I stand to be corrected though, I don't think facebook is really worth sharing our personals. Sisters especially! Stop displaying your life on fb. Facebook is a social network, let it remain so. Post socials, if you want to make it a dawah page, fine, go on with good intention. But not as a diary! Facebook is not your personal journal. A mere glance at your timeline should not give a full insight to your real life. Don't summarize your life into one handy book (fb) where every cat and kitten can just pick, read and drop! Conceal and protect your actual life sis. Note! I'm not advocating pretence here, I'm not saying your facebook life should potray you differently from your actual life, my point is just as I've stated above. This is not pointing at anyone particularly, infact, I see myself in this post too...yeah, I fall into some as well. .... this is just a naseeha and not an accusation. Let's all endeavour to adjust. May Allaah rectify you and I." |
