LMAO.... SA useless?? Why are you wasting your time trying to visit. You need to ask why they are reducing visas. While Serious people go for holidays, study and work many USELESS ones go there to sell drugs and do fraud. You should hold those ones accountable and not a Country trying to stop more shady people from entering.

Adsales:
The way the SA High Consulate in Nigeria delays visa applications is crazy. Imagine a useless country like South Africa holding onto people's passports for weeks, some people book flights, hotel accommodation, make solid travel plans, prepare to attend conferences and then they treat our applications with disdain like time is not of the essence. Better countries at least respect timing. What a waste of time and money. Never again.

Kindly find attached my bank statement, copy of my data page and permit and lease agreement to support her application.

Kindest regards

Lo and behold, Study permit was given!!!!!!!!!!!! shocked shocked grin ..It took approximately 9 weeks..I want to thank everybody on this platform that has been of help .. I'm so grateful..you lots are the real MVP..Thank you so much..this is my first time of applying. NO agent, just a teenager that submitted genuine documents with the help of God and gurus on this platform..

I was given 2 years instead of 4 years which is the duration of my study due to the fact that my passport expires in 2 years time, guess I'll have to renew it at SA then..

Choi ... See Scope.. abeg the Yam still remain?? Help a brother

geekybabe:

Well. You may be lucky like I was. I carried 4 and even carried plantains. cheesy. Make sure it is in the main luggage you are checking in and not in your hand luggage. Make sure the luggage is also wrapped and protected with a wrap at the airport.
When you arrive at Joburg and pick your luggage, Don’t act nervous or suspicious. There is a possibility the custom guys will want to rescan your luggage. Once u clear, you are good to go.

Hi everyone, I just received a call from someone in the high commission

VO: Hello l'm Mr xxxx calling you from the SA high commission...you applied for a study visa?
Me: yes I did.
VO: what is your name?
Me: I replied
VO: what school are you going to
Me:UCT
VO: what course?
Me: mech and mechatronics
VO: who is sponsoring you?
Me: my father, and he has a company (said that because I used my father's company account)
VO: when is the course starting?
Me: the school resumes January 28 but I'll fly January 25th( that's what I stated in my introduction letter and that's the date in my flight reservation that I submitted)
VO:okay..then he said something like confirmed I didn't hear clearly though and he hanged up immediately

I'm wondering why they had to call on a Sunday.. What if I was in church ....i wasn't the one who picked at first.. I hope there's no problem with that?

It was like an interview tho..
I pray the visa is released this week o

For real.....

justwise:

Just imagine what will happen if South African embassy is alerted about what is going on here? Any Nigerian that works there will be a suspect.
Travel / Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by slickruler: 12:40pm On Jan 12, 2019
Exactly.

Information Security is a field ALMOST ALL COUNTRY will grant you a work visa for. If you are into IT. Begin looking at Security. Not just for S.A, for other COuntry work visa.

Geenosko:

Yes but they said the skills he has, South Africans already have in abundance So he should probably look at the deep end of IT where the skills are really scarce. For instance security...

At some point this year, RSA may remove say occupations from the CSV list.

Do you have Professional Certifications ?? Did you attache them to your application ??

kunletune:
Sure IT is broad and my specific skills are: Database specialist, System Integration Specialist and network Analyst.
Travel / Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by slickruler: 10:18am On Jan 12, 2019
Sorry for the Late response....

I am a Network Engineer. ONce you get your CSA from IITPSA, I think another aspect is in packaging your application. I went over board with my application. Attached all my Professional Qualification. Made sure every document that was required was provided. The Introduction letter, i made them see that they NEED me. I Think Gods grace played its part too. My Visa was out after 17 days of Application and I was giving 5 Years.

Unto Job search.. You just have to be Dogged about it. To get a job from Nigeria itself is crazy. I applied on every known website (LinkedIn, Indeed, pnet.co.za e.t.c). I engaged Recruiters on LinkedIn everyday. Some will respond to you, Others wont. The Ones that responded told you that you had to come over for any body to take you serious. I put in about 10 applications or more everyday. I even applied more than ones in a role.. Rejection after Rejection. I dint give up.

I got angry one day and called someone to get my Tickets for me. Booked my flight for October 2. I was determined to just go and hustle it out. I have my 5 Years visa already why Am i wasting it in naija.. Mind you i had a job oh that paid me above 300k. It was a Gamble and a calculated risk. A friend i met here that assisted in my application advised that i shud chill till January.. It fell on def ears.. I dint mind coming over to even work in a bar grin grin... As God will have it.. I bought my Tickets on Friday. the next Tuesday I was scheduled for an Interview for Wednesday (Zoom) , Did a video Interview with the Global HR on Thursday... Same Thursday i was asked what i wanted as my Pay.... I gave them a Figure.. Dint hear from them on Friday..Was worried maybe i over prized.. The next Monday, I got an Email with an Offer letter with the same Figure i asked for.. My Ticket was bought for 2nd October, I resumed 8th October.

I am sharing this for everybody or anyone that feels discouraged. If you have been Denied. Its not the end of the world. Look at the reason why you were denied and re apply again. Dont give up. The are opportunities here better than Nigeria especially if you are in IT (Developers, Programmers, Network/Security Enginners). I know Nigerians earning as much as 100k rand per month (God go soon do our own). If not for anything, Keep pushing for the future of your Kids. Sorry I dont see things Changing in Nigeria soon..

P.S If this Message touch you, abeg pray for me.. I applied for P.R.P this week. The same God that has established me here will make it a success

What type of Visa does the Husband have?? If the Hubby is on Critical Skills Visa she can get a work Visa which allows her to work. She could work in an office depending on her skills level and all. If her skills doesnt meet up, she can do professional courses to fit in too.

Hey guys. Please I need advice and thought to ask here.. my friend hubby is based in south africa and shes thinking of relocating .however she doesnt know what she would be doing there. Send yours first. Attach a Letter stating that your School will Send The Transcript Later. Make sure your Letter is the first document. You can also contact SAQA support on Facebook. Chat them and tell them in advance. Mine was returned twice until the FB support told me what to do.

Mzzshawnel:
Good afternoon, please is it okay for my transcript to be sent before or after my saqa application form gets to saqa office...as my school is responsible for sending my transcript and I will send my application form through a courier service. Since it's two different channels, will the time lag be a problem?
Travel / Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by slickruler: 3:50pm On Jan 02, 2019
Hello,

When you book a return ticket, the airline give you 3 days to pay Up. My Advice is that you do the booking like a Day b4 your submission. When you are printing, exclude the part on the Invoice where it states you have to pay within 3 days. I guess this will do.

Zaronxpanol:
Hello every one please how can i book a return ticket without payment for my younger brother, for study visa processing sake, he is going for his one year Bsc honours study in Johannesburg. I intend to pay when his visa is out. Lastly if I am booking should I book his departure February 2019 because that is his propose resumption date and return February 2020 program end date.
NB I don't want to use agent, I want to do it by my self for him. Agent have showed me pepper in d past during my previous oversea trip, with their outrageous charges. Thanks in anticipation

Nawa for you oh.. Calling SA crime capital and still saying sorry.. Dont scare people or give people bad impression about SA. It has its issues same way Nigeria has its own Issues. Enjoy your stay

iamkingrobert:
I think am in good position to advise you on this. Lol. Alright congrats on the visa. On cheap flight, I’ll probably advise you buy if from AirNamibia but it should be that you’re flying from Ghana, why because they’ doing serious promo in Ghana. Apart from the fact that you will save almost $200 or more, you will also transit Namibia which is a plus on getting your passport more tattoos and Ghana own too will be included. As for cheap accommodation, abeg use Airbnb but find a good neighborhood, SA is crime capital, remember. But I think Airbnb is really cool and cheap, I got some both in joburg and Cape Town and I’ll be there January. It’s my first trip to the place and I pray it will be fruitful and fun. Estimate on ticket from Ghana to SA through airnamibia is $460. That’s what I paid for mine. And you can transit there without their visa since you got SA visa and SA is your destination. I hope this helps you. To my SA people sorry for the “crime capital” remarks. It’s just what google feeds everyone online..
