Picked up my passport from the Ikoyi Passport Office moments ago. DIY method. Fresh passport. Registered and captured 25th July. Got a text last Saturday to go pick up.

Here's my opinion:

I won't encourage DIY in Ikoyi passport office. Not even with the new leadership there.

Nothing has changed. Literally nothing

You're expected to have an immigration officer on your case in Ikoyi

If you need your passport urgently and thinking of DIY, I'd suggest you ask around before attempting Ikoyi

Even to pickup passports, folks pay bribe to skip the wait

I don’t believe age should be a problem, once you meet all the requirements. Westerners don’t have problem with age when it comes for education. Your OND and Waec result would help you in securing an admission and try getting IELTS or LanguageCert exam done Incase.
And again, I don’t know what your results are, you might be eligible for direct BSc instead of an extra year for the foundation level.

Would be good if you can check for schools but since you said you are 35, I dont know if that will be a deciding factor for the embassy

If you have a Bsc, MSc may be the best route for you

Start from page 1, read up all that you need to know - No.
Go to UK government website and read - No.
Don't argue when you're not informed - No.

Last two months. Could Have came out earlier, my file didn’t have NIN so it got delayed , but the officers where helpful enough to help me bring out my file . So I fill in my NIN and it came out after 3weeks.

Just received my passport today. The passport looks finer and better quality that the previous ones.

First things first,go to a pharmacy and get castor oil to soften your stool,then ask them for one bullet shaped thing that is meant for insertion...then you can then ask them for the drugs for it....I've forgotten the names of the drugs I used ...hope it helps...
N/B after the use of the castor oil,don't leave the house if you don't want to have a very bad day cos you'll have to visit the toilet more often
