Lewandowski,Benzema,Neymar,Tevez,Muller all more mobile, better and effective than Mr.Overrated.We are living in 2015 bro not 2009.We need a new striker and I dnt see him playing in midfield because he is gash.
Benzema is not better than Rooney! and Neymar and Muller are not out and out strikers. Still you are entitled to your opinion bro.

Nicholas Gaitan is never a serious upgrade on Nani,Young and co.
Our next signing should be getting DDG to extend.

This argument is quite unnecessary. The truth is,as an out and out striker,I can only think of 4 players better than Rooney in the whole world. IBra,Kun,Costa and Suarez.
So where exactly are we getting the world class replacement from?.
Lets be guided pls.

The Rooney criticism is not fair . For crying out loud, dude has only been an out and out striker for us for just 2 seasons or so in his career. I still believe Wazza is top-notch when played in his preffered position.

I hope they told him to put his children in front of the militia that would go on rampage spilling blood if necessary.

First it was a PDP governor calling for APC supporters to be crushed and killed like cockroaches wherever they are found, now it is PDP member calling for the spilling of blood. Was this the reason he decamped?? Was it because APC rejected his doctrine of violence??

This is another case that has to be brought to the attention of the ICC so that when things go awry, we know the people to hold responsible.

Little wonder they are called a "nest of killers".

God punish Marylin Ogar and FFK if they say nothing with respect to this.

Gosh, I hate this party with deathly passion.
Just shut up bro. A week ago he was a progressive right? Lol. Why cant you kids see that there is no difference between PDP and APC?.Just parties filled with greedy bastards hustling for their pockets

Jonathan ran away from that debate, you supported him. Now that APC have opted for a more effective means of utilizing the remaining 11 days to election, you are here venting.

Tell Jonathan to enjoy his empty podium. Buhari has made his choice and majority of Nigerians will vote for Change to stop his "Stealing-Is-Not-Corruption" administration. It is the Patriotic project of 2015.
GEJ ran away from debate and now GMB is doing same.
In the other words, there is no difference between the 2. Right?
Thanks for being honest.

What have the 6 years solved. It has expanded the bank accts of a few individuals beyond imagination. Its your personal Opinion that GMB as nothing to offer, as for me and my family...we have decided! If Buhari does not perform, we will campaign against him the way we have been doing to mr BadLuck. For now, we will give him a chance. Over my dead body will I vote GEJ again. period!!!

PoliticsRe: The Hypocrisy Of APC Supporters! by slimghost(op): 7:07am On Feb 03, 2015
Less I forget......To put it aptly,it is an insult on our collective intelligence as Nigeria for someone or group of people to tell us that town hall meetings is a perfect alternative to or better than a live presidential debate watched by millions of Nigerians where we can judge candidates side by side against their plans/manifestos.
APC just made an unforgiveable error by their singular action to pull out of all debates and when the result is announced on February 15th,let them please take it in good faith.
Let them continue taking right thinking Nigerians for granted for now,our turn will come!
PoliticsThe Hypocrisy Of APC Supporters! by slimghost(op): 6:40am On Feb 03, 2015
I have deliberately stayed away from this PDP vs APC 'war' on NL for good reasons but I think the time is right to speak out.
First.....let it be known that in as much as I dont believe that GEJ is the best we can get from this country,he has not done terribly(performance wise)
A rot of about 4 decades cannot be fixed under 5 or 6 years. Only a mature, truthful and objective mind will see that.
Now coming to this election,I would have loved to see a sound opposition that offers us an alternative with great ideas and feasible plans but its becoming obvious that the opposition party has goofed with their choice of candidate.
I still stand to be proved wrong but I believe that GMB has nothing to offer except shouts of "change" and "PDP will ruin Nigeria".
Nigerians are too intelligent to allow somebody ride to Aso Rock on mere sentiments.
Millions of 'undecided' voters like myself demand that he debates, lays out his plans and convince us.
APC supporters should stop this shameful show of hypocrisy by defending the indefensible.
In all sane climes, a debate is the surest, easiest and most proper way of candidates selling themselves and this wont be an exception.
A word is enough for the wise.

PoliticsChieftaincy Title For Buhari Angers Aba Mornachs by slimghost(op): 8:28pm On Jan 13, 2015
The paramount ruler of Aba, the commercial capital of Abia State, HRM Eze Isaac Ikonne, has been scolded by the Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers for conferring a chieftaincy title on the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd).

Ikonne had conferred on Buhari the chieftaincy title of Ogbuagu 1 (Killer of Tiger) of Aba Kingdom at the weekend when he visited the monarch during an APC campaign rally in Aba.

Apparently irked by the action of the monarch, the council of royal fathers in the state scolded Ikonne and warned him to steer clear of partisan politics.

Chairman of the council of traditional rulers in the state, Eze Eberechi Dick, said Ikonne lacked the powers to confer such title on Buhari on behalf of Aba monarchs as he (Ikonne) is only in charge of his Eziama autonomous community .

He said that Aba had 400 autonomous communities, wondering why Ikonne alone would confer on Buhari a chieftaincy title on behalf of other traditional rulers without their consent.

He said, “Ikonne is even a tenant in his community because Osusu where Ikonne is resident has a traditional ruler. Aba in stricter sense is made up of two local government areas, namely Aba North and Aba South, while Aba as a zone is made up of nine council areas with over 400 communities.”

“Ikonne is therefore incompetent to give somebody title on behalf of Aba. Abia Traditional rulers hereby condemn Ikonne’s resort to politics.

“Ikonne hosted Buhari, (Imo State Governor) Rochas Okorocha, (Governor Rotimi) Amaechi of Rivers State and used the occasion to attack Abia State Government and the Federal Government of Nigeria. We disown him and his statements.

“We shall investigate it and take appropriate actions.

This same mbaka swore that Chimaroke wont win his 2nd term elections and infact went as far as cursing him to die.
The same man and his senseless youths danced with a coffin around Enugu state Government house and promised us Chi boy's death. What happened? Chi boy is still alive and even won the eection with a landslide.
The truth is, the holy spirit has left mbaka a long time ago and only desperate and frustrated people still visit his adoration ground.
He is just angry with Patience Jonathan for refusing to give him her number after he asked trixe. (Mbaka himself told us that)
As a Catholic,I am deeply ashamed of this man.
Let him tell the world what changed in a space of a month between his endorsement of GEJ and his recent change of mind.
Or the holy spirit informed him wrongly the first time?

I have painstakingly gone through most of the posts of Pro-Buhari peeps on NL and the first thing they say about the man is that he is clean.
Let me ask, how corrupt is Jonathan?
The man may not have built strong institutions that are impregnable......corruption wise but I have never heard of any corruption charge/s levelled against him.
Now to my next thought on the country's situation.
Goodluck is not a great thinker neither is Buhari. I have watched and listened to Buhari's interviews and wasnt impressed one bit.
If we really want an upgrade from Goodluck, then voting Buhari would be an exercise in futility because the man practically has nothing to offer.
Yes I want change! But an unintelligent man like Buhari backed by deeply corrupt individuals like Tinubu and co is NOT that change!!!!!!

PoliticsRe: APC Has No Igbo Agenda. We 'll Vote For Jonathan-ohanaeze by slimghost(m): 7:30am On Dec 25, 2014
ISpiksDaTroof:
The Presidency said on Tuesday that there was no need for President Goodluck Jonathan to heed the suggestion by a former Minister of External Affairs, Prof. Bolaji Akinyemi, to sign an agreement to restrain supporters against violence during the 2015 general elections.

Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, said this in an interview with our correspondent.

Abati was asked to respond to a call by Akinyemi that Jonathan and the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), should sign an undertaking that they would control their supporters against violence before, during and after the election.

He said, “The President does not need to sign an agreement for him to achieve something that he is fully committed and of which he has been very consistent.

“Free, fair and credible elections constitute one of the major legacies of this administration for which President Jonathan is proud of.

“He proved the point in the conduct of the 2011 general elections and it is public knowledge that every election that has been conducted under President Jonathan’s watch has been successful, free, fair and credible.

“Even when it is an election which the opposition is the winner, he has always been the first to congratulate the opposition.

“In his messages to Nigerians as the head of the nation, he has always called on the professional political class and the society in general to eschew violence because for him, he has always said that nobody’s blood is worth his ambition.”

Abati said people like Akinyemi and other Nigerians should be worried about those who had openly threatened fire and brimstone over the elections.

He said, “The people that we should be worried about are the people who have been openly threatening fire and brimstone over an election that they have not yet participated.

“You were in this country when one character said that they will form a parallel government. You were in this country when another character said that heaven will fall if they do not win the election.

“You were in this country when some characters claimed that they have already set up a cabinet over an election which they have not yet participated.”
