Just got this mail from Youwin some minutes back, God is on our side, so let's be hopeful. So its up to us now, those awardees that will be selected randomly for visit by the secretariat staffs themselves, should put all things in place because the outcome of there visit might be a big determinant towards the extention of the program, all the best guys.

Please note that monitoring visits by SMEDAN and Independent Monitors for the validation of tranche 2 milestones (to those who have triggered) will also commence within the next two weeks.

NOW THAT GMB IS IN POWER....

Possible Scenarios. .

1. GEJ instructs secretariat to pay all outstanding tranches irrespective of milestone.

2. Tranche 2 milestone goes on as planned with payments happening before may 29th. Third tranche not coming in.

3. GEJ dumps all interest in pet projects and focuses on leaving aso rock.


Scenario 2 is more likely in my own opinion.

Scenario 1 is my wish but seems not feasible as the government currently has overspent during elections and meeting recurrent expenses for the next 60 days would be of greater priority.

With scenario 3, the fate of the programme lies in the benevolence of GMB. He is not expected to continue with the scheme because:
- it is a pet project of the incumbent. Most of the opposition were never a beneficiary and would want it scrapped.
- GMB is expected to have his own pet projects which would be similar and even at competition with youwin.
-GMB has made so much promises that recurrent and capital expenses are expected to double in the next few months. So many cost cutting measures are expected.

Sorry guys, first tranche was it.

Nah bro, it doesn't stop here with the first tranch, let's be hopeful, GEJ and Ngozi cant bring us this far to leave us in the middle of the sea, I strongly believe the secretariat has a fall back plan if this situation happened, which has...... Now its time for us to come together as one body and let them know we have started something and will make sure it continues even after GEJ leaves office, afterall if our businesses stand we will be evidences of what his government did, please lets ensure that any of us communicating to the secretariate about this issue should do it in a very polite manner. Scenerio 1 and 2 will do. God is on our side. Thanks

As we begin a new year, the Secretariat would like to set some ground rules concerning the use of your YouWiN! Grant.

Firstly, as we commence disbursement of Tranche 1 funds to the first batch of 865 awardees’ over the next few days, you are advised to use these funds judiciously and to show expenditure responsibility by using the funds to set up activities for your business such as rent office space, initial equipment purchase, purchase of stock/raw materials, NAFDAC registration process as applies to your business.

Monitors will be assigned to each of you over the next coming weeks and will discuss specific milestones for your business. Please note that Tranche 2 funds should be used to make your business operational and to start trading.

Secondly, those who are yet to open their Corporate YouWiN! Accounts with the designated banks have until January 21, 2015 to do so. Failure to meet this deadline will result in the immediate disqualification of that awardee.

Lastly, if you have any challenges regarding the best way to structure your business and/or experiencing any difficulties with your designated bank such as per opening a YouWiN! Corporate Account , kindly send an email to youwin_three@youwin.org.ng .

In case you also want to call YouWin, here are their numbers: 0809-594-1711, 0909-403-9795. (08095941711, 09094039795). If u want them to pick your call. You will call them during working hours. i.e Mon - Fri between 8am and 4pm

The best thing is for us to start calling those punks at the Secretariat again to know which other story or excuse they have this time around. SMH

My people oooo, but on a serious note though, my post regarding the postponement of our first tranch until after festivity has nothing attached to it o, I just posted what I felt those Youwin guys must have probably had in mind too, even most of us here if we will say the truth, we self at a point don comot mind say the first tranch fit enter this year again until January.... As for me I don't believe its what I said or what anybody says here that will affect our Youwin funds, Youwin Secretariat is an organisation filled with intellectuals and organised people that carry out there activities professionally. We all know all agencies and parastatals are on the verge of balancing there accounts for the year and core activities will begin again next year. But on the contrary if una feel say na me they talk wetin Youwin they hear now esp @bamistol my brother, then make una no vex abeg, but I also wan let una know too say if na me they talk wetin them they hear then una no go see any money for una account, because as a 9ja guy I go tell them make them push every come my account

Am sure this YouWin 3 awardees are NOT that stupid that they will waste YouWin grant on festivity.
January is worse month to start business and February is the worst because of election. The earlier the money come the better.
Talking of holiday is YouWin a nursery, primary or secondary school that they will start their holiday Friday 19th December as other schools are going on vacation? Despite the unfavorable delay if the 1st tranche still come this week it will still help us to rescue part of the negative situation.
Even those in school business need the money badly this December
Just imagine those into school: having missed the opportunity to start full preparation in August against September 1st term, will they now miss the 2nd chance to start preparation in December against January resumption
Is it possible to jump into starting school in January and expect good result? That means no prior preparation... "He that fails to prepare, prepares to fail"
