Former Kano Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has warned President Muhammadu Buhari that Hunger, Insecurity and Unemployment will increase as a result of the increase in Fuel and Power costs. Kwankwaso, in an interview with BBC Hausa on Friday added that there was no reason to justify the increments. In his words; “Most countries of the world are providing palliatives to help ease the hardship of COVID-19 pandemic, unfortunately Nigeria is increasing petrol and electricity prices. You hardly get anyone in support of this policy,” he added. The Former senator also said that there is nothing wrong in government reversing an unpopular decision in the best interest of the people. “Running government involves generating revenues and expenditure, so the best thing the government could do is to stop the leaks in the system and not tax citizens. People would be more happy, had the government did this,” he said.

The former governor of Ekiti State , Ayodele Fayose , has warned the Oyo State Governor , Seyi Makinde , against tampering with the leadership of Peoples Democratic Party in South - West states . Fayose insisted that the Oyo governor had no right to interfere in the local politics being played in each South west state despite being a zonal leader of the party . The former governor said this on Wednesday when he led the national delegates of the PDP , including the chairmen of the party in Osun , Ekiti , Lagos, to Abeokuta , the Ogun State capital . Fayose stressed that Makinde, who was a zonal leader of the party due to his position as the only governor in South - West, should allow every state to be governed by its local leaders . Fayose said , “ There has been a reasonable cold war about who and who become the executive of the zone. Governor Makinde has demanded that the zonal executive be sacked and a caretaker be foisted on the zone, which the party did . “ The fact that there is a sitting governor does not say I should go to another man ’ s state . Nobody should come to my state ; if you come to my state , I will face you squarely . I will continue to respect him because he is my brother ; I love him so much and I was part of his emergence . ” Earlier, the party in Ogun State had taken over the party secretariat barely a month after the leader of a faction of the party , late Buruji Kashamu , died . The other faction led by Sikirullahi Ogundele took over the secretariat from Kashamu faction in a peaceful manner and held a zonal meeting afterwards. Meanwhile , rising from the meeting , a communiqué was issued and signed by the four state chairmen of PDP in South- West, which include Deji Doherty (Lagos ); Sikirullahi Ogundele ( Ogun ); Sunday Olatunde Akanfe ( Osun ); and Bisi Kolawole ( Ekiti ). The leaders of the party in the South - West region led by Fayose resolved that no state should be ruled or governed by another . In a related development , a National Assembly member , Senator Biodun Olujimi , on Wednesday accused Fayose , of surreptitiously moving against Makinde . The senator representing Ekiti South Senatorial District , who spoke in Ado Ekiti at a meeting of her faction of the PDP , said , “ Makinde is the symbol of the party in the South - West. Powered by RubiQub “ So, anything that must come from the zone must come through him . Fayose and his conspirators’ visit to Uche Secondus was nothing but recreational . I can take anybody to the national secretariat of the party and we take pictures. ”

The wife of the Edo Sate Deputy Governor , Mrs Maryann Shaibu , has petitioned the Commissioner of Police over alleged threat to her life by a former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress , Mr Adams Oshiomhole . The petition by Idemudia Ilueminosen , lawyer for Mrs Philip - Shaibu , titled , ‘ Threat to Life , ’ stated that Oshiomhole allegedly threatened to deal the deputy governor ’ s wife on Sunday , September 6 , 2020 , at Jattu in the Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State , during the APC campaign tour to the community. According to the petition , Oshiomhole, did not only threaten to deal with Mrs. Philip - Shaibu , but he also declared that he has sent some thugs to monitor her movements in Etsako West. “ This is moreso that the lives of our client and her family ( by this threat ) are at stake and the situation may degenerate into a full blown crisis if nothing urgent is done , ” the petition real . Meanwhile , Oshiomhole ’ s media aide , Mr Victor Oshioke , said the former governor was focused on marketing the governorship candiate of the APC to the people and “ cannot, under any circumstances, be distracted by the buzzing of baby mosquitoes Mrs Shaibu . ” “ This petition is nothing but a futile attempt to divert the attention of Nigerians from the trending video of Maryann Shaibu threatening to flog women old enough to be her mother if they dare exercise their fundamental human rights to attend any event other than the one she organises, ” he said .

Ahead of the September 19 Gubernatorial Election in Edo State, The People's Democratic Party (PDP) key players have started landing in the ancient city of Benin to fine-tune plans and ensure victory for the party at the polls.
First to arrive at the State's capital is the Former Governor of Kano State, His Excellency, Senator Rabiu Kwankwanso who was welcome by members of Edo State PDP.
Kwankwanso's arrival is set to be one of many highly placed politicians in the PDP who will be coming into the state to back and support the re-election bid of Gov. Godwin Obaseki

It does not matter. I used OTHER DIPLOMA too during my registration; it didn't not affect me- I was admitted.
