Will SS and SE vote SW?

Tinubu was told to wrestle power from GEJ after which they will hand back power to him.

Its very easy to negotiate with a greedy fellow.

Fact is that SW has no influence in 2023.

When did you become SS and SE? You that you dont even have PVC! shocked grin grin

What did Tinubu steal that makes you call him a thief? His "right hand man" and CEO at Alpha-Beta said so in Court

You are asking very obvious questions that dont need further answers.
Tell us about the Bullion Vans,
Tell us about Alpha-Beta's Tax Collections and how Lagosians were defrauded
Tell us about how 90% of Lagos Youths became Agbero, Bus Stop Touts, violent Street Urchins, since 2003 when he was Governor
Tell us how every Govt position, including Senator, head of LASTMA, Iyaloja of Lagos, etc, has Tinubu's name on it.
Tell us about WHY Buhari destroyed the Database in Bourdillon and created another Database for APC grin
Tell us why Buhari said "someone cannot be in Lagos and be telling us what to do in Abuja"?
Tell us WHY we should elect another sickly leader in 2023, people who run to London Hospital every time but cannot build Hospital in Nigeria
Tell us whether Aso Rock is now a Convalescent Home for Sickly, old people

Nigeria needs a Strong , healthy, intelligent, properly educated, Viable, trustworthy, God fearing and Honest Leader, not Looters that will be asking us: Where are the Cows

Business / Re: GTB Customer Faints As N2.95m Disappears From His Account by smallsmall: 5:02pm On Jan 29, 2022
The Customer should read this thread, on how to lodge a Complaint against GTBank, with the CBN.

https://www.nairaland.com/6960179/how-lodge-complaint-against-financial

Contact Your Institution First

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) issued a circular in 2011 directing all banks to expand their existing ATM HELP DESK to handle all types of consumer complaints. Therefore, if you have a complaint against your bank, you MUST first report the complaint at the bank/branch where the issue originated and then allow 2 weeks (it might be less or more in some cases) for the issues to be resolved.

If Your Bank Fails to Resolve Your Complaint

You have the right to escalate your complaint to the Director, Consumer Protection Department (CPD) of the CBN after lodging
your complaint, when your bank fails to acknowledge within three (3) days or issue a tracking number, or fails to resolve the complaint within the timelines as stipulated by the Consumer Protection Regulation (CPR).

Complaints to Consumer Protection Department

You can only direct your Complaints to CPD upon the failure of your Bank/Financial Institution to resolve your complaint within the timeline stipulated by the Consumer Protection Regulation (CPR).

Contacting Consumer Protection Department (CPD)

You can contact the CPD through the following channels:

E-mails: cpd@cbn.gov.ng

Letter:
The Director
Consumer Protection Department
Central Bank of Nigeria
Central Business District,
Garki, Abuja

Your letter of Complaint should be addressed to the Director, Consumer Protection Department.

You can submit your letter at the CBN Head
Office OR at any of the CBN Branches
Nationwide.

Does the CPD Deal with All Types of Complaints?

The CBN deals with all financial related complaints in so far as it is against a Financial Institution within its regulatory purview.

A high-level presidential source speaking on the condition of anonymity while underlining the trust deficit was quick to also note the influence of the governors who he said would determine the direction.

“Yes, the trust issue is not something that can be swept away easily, it is there, but you cannot remove the role of the governors who are the ones laying the bed. You don’t expect them to lay the bed for someone else to come and lie on,” the source said.

On how the vice-president is drawing his strength, the presidential aide said:

You are an Evil, Tinubu Mouth Piece!
There is No Trust issue with StarBoy Yemi Osibanjo's Candidacy, it is you Tinubu's urchins that are trying to whip-up that evil sentiment against his person.

Nigeria needs a firm president, one who will take the right decisions at the right time.
Osibanjo as V.President, took the right decisions at those times and he clears them with Buhari, his principal, at every opportunity.

Osibanjo was the one who calmed frayed nerves at the Niger Delta and ensure that Nigeria continues to produce Crude Oil for sale.
He is the one on charge of ensuring that small-small traders get stipend from the Govt, to be able to do their business.

As it is, the best President for Nigeria, come 2023, is Prof Yemi Osibanjo, just take a look at his star-studded C.V.

Agreed, but I was talking about Nigerian specifically and the insured amounts I quoted above is for Nigeria.

Insured amount in the USA and other foreign banks defers, in the USA I truly don’t care if my credit card is stolen or fraudulently used, all I need do is call it in and I will be made whole almost immediately while the investigation goes on.

Though the story is different with debit cards even in the USA, the insurance is not as iron clad as that with credit cards and it could take a little longer to get your money back.

Yes CBN should up their games and emulate other countries, but remember that the insurance companies & Banks are in business to turn a profit, so if CBN increased their liabilities, they will have to turn to me and you to recoup the additional cost in insuring a high risk now.

I agree with your submissions

Liability arising from carelessness or connivance of their staff cannot be passed to the Customer.
Liabilities of "Genuine Operating Cost", is what the Customer funds.

Profit of a bank is not made from the Bank Staff conniving with Fraudsters to defraud Customers, that is termed "Criminal Enterprise" ... which is what is going on with Nigerian banks, especially First Bank, GTB (recently), Access Bank and UBA.

why using your details as NEXT OF KIN? the mama pikin for abroad or her child for Nigeria details is the best. In case the woman old and die, who do you think will claim the money in her account? The bank will gbese on the money because you can't go and claim the money

Did you read the reason he took that decision? These Banks Staff are always looking at Customer details, to determine which one to pass on to their fraudulent accomplices. A foreign-based Next of Kin, is a prime target

Next of Kin does not mean you are entitled to the Money in the account, when the owner dies, whether Child or not, stop deceiving yourself!

There are process and procedures you need to go through, to have access to the Money in the account of someone who dies Intestate.

This story can't be true.

Daily withdrawal is like a million naira.

Two million nine hundred and fifty

thousand can't be withdrawn as once.

You are demarketing a bank. That's not

good.

You are wrong Sir!
Some people have daily limit (and you can even raise it yourself) to the tune of #10M, it all depends on what kind of Account you have.
I personally wont survive with a daily limit of #1M but then, l dont do such amounts everyday.

Nigerian Banks are employing Criminals, paying them half salary and expecting them not to defraud Customers, how is that possible?
One Oga at GTB is the one supplying those temporary Staff to GTB, he crimps-off half of their salary and it is not a surprise that those Temporary Staff are the first suspects, in these "INTERNAL-CONNIVANCE" FRAUDS

I doubt if the bank has a duty to refund money fraudulently stolen, yes they have a duty to investigate and engage the other bank/merchant to retrieve the stolen money after you complained.

Your bank deposit is not insured against the bank unless you take out private insurance for that purpose...yes it is supposed to be insured against the bank going belly-up or being liquidated

but if you listen to the stories of some of the people whose Bank was liquidated by CBN in Nigeria, some did not get anything bank despite their deposits being insured against such occurrence. Also in very few cases where the insurance kicked in, note that the coverage is limited, they do not insure your total account balance, the maximum insurance is N500k in regular banks and N200k in micro financed banks.

You are not completely right!
NDIC insures savings to a certain amount - True.

If you are defrauded (say scammers accessed your account and transferred your money out to another bank account), the bank MUST refund your Money because it is not within your control but all these happened within the banking system/
Those who have foreign bank account will attest to this and that is why White people dont really care too much about someone stealing their bank cards or 'frauding' their bank account.
It is the bank that should tighten its security and ensure that such frauds are not easily done.

Every successful bank fraud, triggers an investigation by the fraud team and they would do anything and everything to ensure that the Fraudster is tracked down, because it all happens within their banking system and they know they are liable to refund the money.

If CBN adopts such posture, especially now that we all use BVN, Banks will take their responsibility more seriously, will stop employing Criminals (low wage incentive) and vet their staff properly and pay them appropriately.

I understand you well, if you want the bank to help you, you gotta help them, with the necessary information, as I stated earlier

I had a friend who backed with GTB, in this case, ATM refuse to disbursecash, but his account was debitted, he happen to complain to them yet nothing was done to refund his money,

he saw me two days later and explain to me, I now asked him to go back to the ATM, and get a statement from. there, with the information and his text showing the debit, should go back to the bank, and complain,

And that's what he did, 3days later his money was refunded,

in a situation like the Ops, the fastest way, is to gather any information detailing the debit, then report to the bank, that information is the first thing they will follow up, to know, how such, and from where, so as to prevent future occurance for himself

I disagree with your process!
Once the Customer has made a complain to the bank and the Bank Staff, who has access to the banking profile of the Customer sees that it is true that the said amount was moved from his account A to another Account B, the first thing is to post a "No Debit Notice" on the receiving Account and inform the owner of the Account.
This is to prevent dissipation of the funds.
It is after this that investigation will now commence and the Customer be required to show further proof.

By the time the bank is insisting on Affidavit, Police Report and all sorts of nonsense, the Funds are being withdrawn, which makes the case go from bad to worse.
Bank Staff must be proactive in this regard, that is, if the Criminality is not actually coming from them, which is the case, most times.

The banks know exactly what is going on.

same story every time and nothing will ever be done about it. no investigation or recovery as long as it does not disturb the deposit section of the bank. Even it the money was stolen from A to B in the same bank, the bank will not talk or even move a finger. It is all good business for them.
Shey Buhari has account in union bank, let one kobo miss and you will see how the bank manager will turn to Jack Bauer

For sometime now, GTB has been employing "Temporary Staff", paying them crumbs and the Oga in charge of supplying these temporary Staff, has been taking the large percentage of these Salary meant for these Staff.
The Tempo-Staff are exposed to Customer Accounts as they do the same Work Schedule of a normal Staff.
It is after this time that GTB Customers started experiencing Dubious Transaction on their Accounts,

As a Customer of GTB for over 30yrs now, l can confirm to you that all these Frauds on Customer Account, are initiated and carried out with the connivance of GTB Staff. Quote me anywhere.
Other banks also operate the same "Business Model" that put Customer Savings into the hands of Fraudsters, First bank and UBA are the least safe, in my own opinion, because the Bank Staff mine Customer Data for Fraudsters.

The CBN, EFCC and SFU must tighten their regulation of these banks and make it known that if a Customer is Defrauded, through no fault of his (and this must be the default position except the bank can prove otherwise), the Bank must repay the Stolen amount IN FULL within 48hrs, pending any investigation of the bank.
Bank Staff need to start facing very High jail term, once their culpability in these frauds can be established
This will ensure that the bank monitors the Criminals it is employing and paying peanuts to.

Every Account has a BVN attached to it (by Law) so, Money does not disappear into thin air anymore.. The Bank Staff see where a Stolen money is moved into but pretend they dont know, because they are all into these Frauds.
The Fraudsters and bank Staff now work hand-in-hand, that is a fact.

What has having more money got to do with this? The deal is working and making an impact with available resources and having workable and achievable ideas that people can see when initiated.

Are you telling us that the Governors after Fashola haven't had money to be allocated to maintaining the environment?

How did Fashola do it and succeed that the once filth laden Lagos became clean? Was it difficult for Ambode to continue with staff that Fashola worked with? Was it difficult for Ambode to put a call through to Fashola to ask for ideas? Sanwo Olu nko?

So you see it isn't an issue of more money, it is about a shift of their main focus from what stood their predecessor out.

We should also not forget the "People Angle" in this story!
Fashola ensured that all these Thugs that Tinubu empowered, were put in their place. Infact, he banned Agberos from the Bus Stops but Tinubu will have non of it, as those Street Urchins are his own "Private Army", to be used in rigging elections and wreaking havoc on opponents.
The average Yoruba guy from families with a long history in Lagos, are mere Street Urchins today, they have sold all the Properties their Parents laboured for, to outsiders because Tinubu has made them (by showing them that Violence and Laziness is profitable) into Agebros and Street Urchins. Go to any Street in Lagos and see the Army of unemployable Street Urchins, doing "Owo mi da?" and attacking hard working Citizens going about their normal business!
That is the Legacy of Tinubu in Lagos and the SW.... Lazy Youths and Violent Street Urchins everywhere.

If Fashola gives out a building project, like a School, he goes out in th elate evenings, dressed as an ordinary citizen, without all the paraphernalia of office, to secretly inspect what is being done. He visits Hospitals unannounced, Ministries, etc.
This ensures everyone is on their toes and performing and that is one of the reasons his Govt was outstanding.

The current "Baba-Sope", l hear will announce what he will do next year, so that the Civil Servants, Political Opportunists and Street urchins can "prepare" for his coming.
My small cousin filmed a situation where he came to open a School. The road to that school was a mess and impassable. A day before he came, they spread red sand on that Road, but just up to the point he will turn into that School. grin grin
Muumu just came, saw "New Road" and declared that the area is well taken care of, he went back happy. angry undecided

You know our people like to deceive their Leaders.
Look at the our Leaders in the SE, they will be building Statutes all over, another one will build Stadium, another will build one White Elephant project and the people will be commending him, instead of telling him to build Roads, Hospitals, Power projects, Standard Schools and pay salaries on time.
We praise our own but abuse the leaders of other Regions, eare we not deceiving ourselves?

But God help Nigeria and the SW in particular, if Tinubu becomes President, while people like Fashola of Osibanjo (SW) or Kingsley Moghalu (SE), are skipped over.

The only thing that attracts "foreigners" like you and l and those you mentioned, to LAGOS, is because there is Money to be made in Lagos and that is one of the indices of a developed Economy or Place.

Finally, if you can develop Lagos, you can also develop your own State but since you have not been able to develop your State or even stay back there because there is no Money to be made, if is foolhardy to come out and say it is foreigners that developed Lagos.

It is not true that Lagos is by far more beautiful than when the British handed her over.... perhaps, you could say development has spread further away from the Island now.

If anyone is to talk of a structure that exists in Lagos, which every governor seems to be following, then that structure was created by the British...not Tinubu or anyone.

Certainly, Fashola outperformed all the other three, in terms of his administration's overall contribution to enhancing Lagos.

Even as Works and Housing Minister, Fashola has overseen the construction of over 900km of roads across all geopolitical zones and states in the country.

Imagine the whole idea around the Presidential Infrastructure Tax Initiative.. absolute brilliance!...you'd know it is his brainchild. That idea gave birth to Apapa-Oshodi-Oworonshoki Highway, Bonny-Bodo Bridge and several others.

You wouldn't hear that he's being linked to multibillon# properties or imposing relatives on the populace as Commissioner, Senator etc. He is way more disciplined, charismatic and focused.

I just don't like Tinubu's style at all....As governor, he created LASTMA and his wife's sister (Lola Akande) served on its board; the same sister in-law of his was a Commissioner under Ambode, and now under Sanwo-olu...his wife is in the Senate...his daughter is Iyaloja...he also installed Oyetola, his cousin, as governor of his state, Osun.

That is nonsense! For me, that is destructive greed and utterly disrespectful of the sensibilities of others.

You nailed it Sir.

The mainland especially Ikorodu that was built with Afonjas mediocrity doesn't need evidence to tell that it was not part of the original Lagos.

Not Logical

performance as Minister of Power is totally irrelevant.
Why not bring in performance as husband?
It has no bearing to his performance as governor which happened BEFORE he became Minister

You cannot judge Messi for Best Barvelona player in history based on his performance at PSG is that rational?

How do we judge the performance of a Minister of power in Nigeria? What is his mandate? How much money was his budget as Minister of power?

If we are judging governors for what happens in their states and NOT COMMISSIONERS then we must judge the President and not his ministers

I agree with you absolutely.
Ministerial appointments are done on Federal Character basis and especially under an Principal that is not progressive, Fashola can only do as much as his Principal will allow him.
The Cabals that have the ears and assurances of the President did everything to frustrate Fashola in that job, not to mention that the duo of Atiku and Hell Rufai, as Head of BPE and "Privatisation Agency", had already sold and tied the hands of anyone who occupies that post and made them beholden to the Cabals they sold "PHCN to, through "Binding Contracts", after collecting their own share of kickbacks

Fashola is cranial, just like "StarBoy" PYO though, l think he is more decisive than even PYO, these are the type of guys l hope to see as President, in Civilian Govt, not all these recycled garbage that are currently fronting their selfish ambition.

Lagos State was NEVER the Federal capital

Semantics! Lagos was the seat of Govt during the Colonial era and immediately after independence, it continued to be the Capital of Nigeria.
Google will be of assistance in this case.

just a small part of the state and that ended over 30 years ago
You are contradicting yourself Sir. Lagos was either a Capital City (back then), or it is not. You can pick and chose.

How come the IGR was never high throughout the time it hosted the FCT?
Lagos State is much better today than it ever was when it hosted the FCT

IGR is always increasing for every State of Nigeria, but some have increased at a faster rate than others. Same thing with development but if you really ask me, as someone who has lived in Lagos in the 60's and 70's, l can tell you that THE QUALITY of LIFE in Lagos back then, was better than it is TODAY and the same goes for every other state in Nigeria. Back then, you can leave your door open overnight, back then, you can put a small child in a Public transport(LMTS) or ask him to walk to school, without fear of being kidnapped for Rituals. Back then, you can start the foundation work of your House without the descendant of Onikoyi or Kosoko bringing Cutlass to your property, asking for humongous amount, because they are Tinubu's street Urchins! Back then, there was nothing like Okada, we rode in descent public Buses, if you dont have a car and Lagos was not as dirty as this.
I presume you are not yet around in these good old days hence you may be forgiven, for not knowing the difference but please do ask around from those where were around in that age.

In 1985 in the FCT there were nighsoil men in Lagos city carrying feces in buckets,
There was nothing glorious about the governance of Lagos state under the military

The military is an aberration in governance but l can tell you, even as a dire lover of Democracy, that the worst military Govt in Nigeria (and theh military were terrible in government!), is far better than the best Govt we call "Demonstration-of-Crase" in Nigeria
If you check it out, the best things in Nigeria, even as of today, after 20yrs of uninterrupted Civilian rule (not Democracy though), were done under the military dictatorship.
How many refineries have Civilian Govts built in the last 20yrs?
How come a civilian Govt has been UNABLE to the 4th Mainland Bridge in the last 20yrs since Tinubu has been drawing it on a Video board? grin
Look at our roads today, look at inner city roads, street roads and tell me if their comatose situation was the case, in 1976? (we still have roads built in the 70's, still functional today, compared to the rubbish that these Poli-thief-cians are constructing.

As much as l loath military regimes, they are better than the criminals-cum Politicians we have entrusted our destinies with, in the name od DEMOCRACY

Tinubu is the game changer for Lagos state. He set the path that all others followed. He is the illuminator and the master planner of modern Lagos.

He moved the state internal revenue from the monthly N600million in 1999 to the over N20billion that it is today. In fact, when Tinubu re-positioned Lagos state board on internal revenue to LIRS, the Obasanjo government quickly copied the template and changed Federal board of inland revenue to FIRS.

His revenue, education, transport, health, waste management and traffic management policies have been copied by so many states all over the country and even the Federal government. That Lagos is now the 5th largest economy in Africa is to his credit.

Lagos has always been a large economy, from its days as Federal Capital, with a lot of National Assets like Ports, Airport, etc.
Lagos also occupies a unique geographical location with access to the Atlantic ocean.
The Large and urban Population of Lagos is also an asset Lagos has, like no other State.

With all these, it is not rocket science that Lagos will generate a lot of IGR, far-far higher than nay other state in Nigeria, though, other states of the federation also have their own unique capability to generate IGR.

The questions about Lagos, under Tinubu's stewardship, that needs answers are:
1) How much of the Lagos IGR goes into Tinubu's private Pocket, through his Front Companies like Alpha Beta
2) How much of it has been diverted to his family members, like his daughter (Iyaloja of Lagos), his in-laws and other cronies?
3) How much of the IGR of Lagos has Tinubu surrendered to his Army of URchins and street Thugs, so he can keep using them to rig elections for himself and his anointed cronies and to foment violence on the working population of Lagos?
4) The recent deadly violence around Lagos island, is traceable to this issue of IGR, between Tinubus' Thugs in that part of town and how he has turned most Young men in the South West into Low-life Thugs who terminate human life at will, just to enrich the Tinubu Dynasty.

But we must give him credit because it takes a smart, criminal mindset to turn a whole Region of educated and enlightened people into a killing field of lazy, uneducated, Drug-infested Sreet urchins, Children that sell the Properties their Parents laboured for, just to fund their Drug habits.
That is the legacy of Tinubu in the South West.... and hopefully, Nationally. grin grin

Fashola, is by a Million Miles, the Best Governor of Lagos State since 1999 and we all remember the "war" between Tinubu and Fashola, when Tinubu tried to deny Lagosians of the service of that performing Governor, because Tinubu wanted to install another of his lackeys.

What was the cause of the acrimony? Tinubu was demanding for larger and larger percentage of Lagos IGR, to the point that the Governor was unable to discharge his duties to Lagosians. Ifnot that Lagosians threatened to vote for the opposition, Tinubu would just have thrashed Fashola and installed another Lackey that would be allowing him to pocket 85% of Lagos IGR and income.

For the position, situation and natural gifts of Lagos (People and structures), Lagos is "a very rich country" in itself but Tinubu has relocated the Treasury of Lagos in his House and he uses the Governors he appoints to direct the income of Lagos to his pocket.

Taxing the people of Lagos more is not a big deal, any authoritarian Leader can do that but the question is whether the Citizens are getting commensurate benefits for being taxed to the hilt or whether a large portion of their Tax is being stolen by their overlord?
this is the question Tinubu's lackeys online cannot answer.

Question is: Are we doing the right thing, right now (never mind "before", otherwise we wont be where we were in 2015), to reduce the Poverty level of Nigerians?

How do we describe a Nation with #30,000 Basic Salary (that most states refuse to pay!) and the Citizens are buying a Bag of Rice for #36,000? I've never heard it happen anywhere in the whole, wide world.

I think we need to go back to the basics and build from Ground-Up.

How is he looking down on his Brother?
How is he slacking, as you put it?
Will he steal, if he can find money, since he is not yet on a salary or on his own, just to buy those things for the house?
How will wicked and Evil Brothers like you, see your own Brother starve to death, while you sit down there and gulp up food?
What is this country turning into sef? Evil doers everywhere!

It is obvious, for the young man to come online, he is at wits-end and very is still hungry.

Are you saying his Brother should starve him till he gores out to commit crime?
What if tables turn tomorrow, should he serve his brother from the same Plate, his brother is serving him now?

@Op: I feel your situation.
Your Brother is who he is but having not heard from him, it is difficult to put the all the blame on him, as l woul dove to, from your story.
It is inhuman for any Brother to treat you the way he does, if everything you said is true and exactly as you say it is.
When next he cooks, go to him aad ask him why he does not believe that you dont have money and why he thinks you should starve to death while watching your own brother eating? Ask him.
Then tell him to share whatever he has with you, as you are his Brother and only God knows what tomorrow may bring, that you would do the same thing to him, if you were in his position, by sharing whatever you have with him.

If he still drives you away, just go into a quiet place and start giving thanks to God because he has shown you an "enemy", early in Life!
Some people take a long time to realise their true enemy but yours may have just been made known to you on a platter of gold.

Next is to sit back and device more ways of making legit money (How about sewing Cloth Pants and hawking it?
How about buying a large Towel, cut it into smaller pieces of "Face Towel sizes", sew the edges and then sell them (each is about #300!)?
How about a side-hustle like selling Pure Water, in this dry weather?
I hope you are not the type that "double-deal" with his Brother sha, this can bring about trust-issues in your relationship.

When God wants to do great things in your Life, he purifies you first. Your troubles are your own purification stage, be steadfast and upright, this too shall pass.
