I am buying these myself while the installer is buying the materials below.

Kindly critique what the installer sent especially the prices, accuracy of quantity needed for materials like the wire and what to add for better installation and protection.

Please don’t ignore, i need honest opinions. I don’t want to be cheated by the installer. My friend trusts me a lot and i don’t want anything to jeopardize our relationship.

You can see as 'almost' everybody is taking you for a joke!

First, l will say, be careful whose advise you are taking, depending on what "vested interest" such person has, in such project (just offering free advise with no vested interest, installer hoping to be contracted, Solar Items Seller hoping for a potential sale, etc). though there are still some good people here offering free advise.
What i expect is that anyone offering advise, will declare where their interest lies, if any.

Nothing wrong if this is your Project/ your Husband's or Brother's Project and you want us to help Vet the Prices, a lot of people have done so in the past.
But saying you're doing it for a friend Abroad, is in itself, screaming: 'there is Money to be made here' or 'Money Na Water'.
For next time's sake, dont include the Abroad part at all (Maybe your Installer is already crunching his Brain and doing Dollar-to-Naira Exchange rate! grin

To the quotation:
As a rough guide, go to any Nigerian online Store, (Konga or JiJii, etc ) and do a search for each item, you will see them and you can use their Price there, "as a GUIDE". It gives you an idea of what they should be, though, you could get them for less at the Market.

If you are in Lagos, take a stroll to Arena Market at Oshodi, enter from the C-Line and the first few Shops sell a lot of Solar Materials. They will give you a good Price and you can strike a bargain with the sellers. You cant miss the Market,

Your Quotation is scary on some items!
For example:
- a 200A Change Over is far cheaper than #22,000!
- Mccb breaker for battery 160amps @ 35,000! Kilode?
- Why does he need two DC surge Protector? Are you doing two separate Solar inputs or two Individual Inverters?
-(20) mitre 10mm² cable wire @2200 =#60,000: ar ethese DC Cables? If so, why does he need 20Meters to run just two Batteries to the Inverter?
Will they be so far out (like 5Meters out, which is not a good thing?

- Why does he need 3days to install 20 Solar Panels? It is usually Two days Max (Day 1: Install panels and Run Cables. Day 2: Install Panels and Battery, Configure them and Start the System)

- Which other "Additional Work" is he referring to? Tell him everything involved from Start to Finish (Inverter Charging Battery, using from Solar Panels and supply in the Load), are all involved and be covered by "Installation" Cost.
Dont fall for that line, he would use it to charge you extra.

- since all the Materials will be provided, why does he want to collect 80% Payment before screwing Bolt? What does he need to buy?
Give him 50% Advance payment and 50% Balance on Commission. Generally speaking, service Providers who insist on such lopsided payment arraingement, either don't trust the Client's ability to Pay in-full on Completion of the Work, or are not sure they will do a good Job and therefore dont want the Client to have any 'leash' on his payment (Some can abandon the 20% and take off sef!)

Now, it is a bit difficult to verify the quantity for you because you did not state the extent of the building, viz: location of Solar Panels, relative to location of Inverter ( Panels on Roof of Storey building with Inverter on Ground floor, will need different length/quantity of material, compared to Panels on Roof of Bungalow and directly below Room where Inverter will be). are the Panels going to be on same side of the Roof or will be scattered around, due to the shape of the Roof?
If you shed more light or are able to provide estimated distances/length in above cases, we might be able to help more.

Caveat: I am a DIY Solar Enthusiast, a User with basic knowledge of Solar Installs. I have two of my own self-installs running at 32KW + 8KW. I dont sell Materials and I dont install.
BTW, if perhaps you want a recommendation for a good Installer that had worked for me and i have recommended to othrs, i can recommend him.
I have no vested interest than to ensure you get good vallue for your Money.

I live in Lagos, Alimosho. Pls if there is any technician you can recommend or refer that can take a thorough look at it, I’ll appreciate. Though, the inverter is working for a couple of days now but I noticed the charging from grid is unusually slow which gives me the impression that the same problem might repeat itself.
I spoke to Haisic customer service if they can send a technician down to my location to come check it out, they refused. They said I should bring it to Alaba even when I told them I will pay for the services of the technician. We have very poor customer service culture in Nigeria

That is why most successful business in Nigeria cant last a Generation, they only last a few years.
When they want you as a Customer they will be 'begging' you to come and buy their Products.
Once you buy and they feel 'successful', they begin to act arrogantly and trash their Customers.

Within a few years, that Business goes under water. undecided

For example, you CONFUSED Stephan Bandera (1959), a Person, Nazi collaborator, with "Banderites", a group of People in Western Ukraine, the modern day Descendants of Stephan Bandera, who still propagate his Nazi Aspirations and White Supremacist Values in present day Ukraine. I referred to "Banderites" in Ukraine TODAY, .... not that Bandera is still live.

The fact that you cant even agree that Boris Johnson went to Ukraine and met Zelensky, told him not to sign the Istanbul Agreement (which has already been agreed at the highest Ministerial level Representation in Istanbul, with the consent of both Presidents of Russia and Ukraine in absentia but still need to be ratified with their Signatures), shows that you are either not aware or intentionally deceptive on this matter.

As i speak, Finland and Norway, which are part of the NATO Alliance that said they would never talk with Russia until it vacates the conquered Ukrainian territories, have just initiated a Phone Conversation with Putin! Body don they torch all of them.
Europe is experiencing the highest Price of Gas in it's History, at Nine Euros a Gallon (2.25Euros litre)!

You think all the citizen riots in Spain, Italy, France, Sweden, Parts of UK, etc, and still spreading is about Immigrants and Islam as European Leaders are claiming? It is about their Leaders using their Money to fund the Ukraine War while the Citizens are left without Basic Social Amenities (Housing, Electricity, Gas, Education, etc) and Spiraling Inflation!
Moreover, they are all DEMANDING that their Government negotiate a truce with Russia and resume the purchase of Energy from Russia, which is why the Afd Party is sweeping the Polls in Germany, despite its hard stance on immigration.

I will revisit your Post again, because there are so many misconceptions there, example; You did not know what happened in 2014, when the "Banderites" set fire to the Local parliament of the Ethnic Russians and burned it down, including those inside!

Let's just be clear on the facts on the ground: before the first Minsk agreement of 2014, Russia already invaded Crimea and militarily supporting the armed rebellion of the Eastern region. Not to mention that Russia repeatedly violated the agreements. All that happened before Merkel said what she said (so context matters).

All Ukraine is doing is protecting her territory and accepting necessary support from Western leaders. Let's not try and re-write history like Ukraine is the aggressor.

I would say you should try and read the History of that area properly, instead of picking and choosing what soothes your narrative!
Go an dlearn about the Ethnic Composition of Russia, then learn about the Ethnic composition of Ukraine and finally, learn about the Ethnic Composition of Crimea and Donbass.

A short answer for you, is that Ukraine was created artificially, by Russian Empress, Catherine the Great.
It was A GIFT to one of her Supporters in War. What then happened is that you have Ethnic Russians being "gifted", as Original Ukraine.
Then that 'gifted part' broke away from USSR in 1990/91.

The problem is that there is a group of Ukrainians who are NOT of Ethnic Russian Origin, who are Racist-Nazis and Supremacists.
When Ukraine broke away from USSR, these Ukrainians said they were the "superior" Ukrainians and that the ethnic Russians in Ukraine are inferior Humans, some of them even went further to say they are not Humans but Cockroaches (reminds one of what happened in Rwanda!).
They said thy wanted to 'CLEANSE' Ukraine of these Cockroaches and started a systematic Ethnic Cleansing of Ethnic Russians in Ukraine.
These Ukrainian Supremacist Killer Squads were led by a man called Stephen Bandera. he led a Group called the Banderites.

Ethnic Russians who were in the Eastern parts of Ukraine were being slaughtered and wiped-off by the Nazi Banderites and they cried to Mother Russia.
They conducted a Referendum and voted overwhelmingly that they wanted to go back to Russia and be Russians, since they speak Russian Language and are Ethnic Russians.
Instead of allowing them to leave peacefully, the Ukrainian Government led by these Banderites, unleashed war on them.

Then in 2012-2013 or so, Ukraine had an Election and the man who won was an Ethnic Russian man named Victor Yanukovitch.
He was willing was willing to give a limited autonomy to the Ethnic Russians in Donbass Region (Luhansk and Donetsk).

The Nazi Banderites will have non of this, they set fire to the local Municipal Building where the Ethnic Russian-Ukrainians were having a meeting and BURNED the people inside ALIVE (Google it and you will still find the account).

They then sought to kill the President, Yanukovitch and he was swiftly evacuated out of Ukraine by Russian Forces, back to Russia. (I am certain this man will be the next President of Donbass and liberated territories, once the Russia-Ukraine war is over.)

Then the Banderites started going from House-to-House, hunting and killing the Ethnic Russians in the Easter and Southern parts of Ukraine.
The Ethnic Russians again begged "Mother Russia" to come to their aid and Russian forces invaded Crimea, drove away the Banderites and "gave effect" to the Crimean Referendum where these Ethnic Russians in Crimea, voted to be part of Russia.

The above is a detailed summary of why Russia invaded and seized Crimea in 2014.

Same thing repeated itself in 2021, when Ukraine, led by Zelensly, despite Two Agreements to grant autonomy to the Ethnic Russian in Donbass, which Ukraine agreed was a a gimmick to arm themselves properly, ...Ukrainian Banderites in their Military started using weapons of War (Tanks, Rockets, Missiles, Grenades, etc) to shell "its own People" who were Ethnic Russians in Donbass.
Their Langugae was banned, their Churches were seized and plundered, they were being shelled and killed like Rats

The People resisted but then, Ukrainian Military was too powerful for them.
They cried out once again to 'Mother' Russia for liberation.
Russia then started writing letters to everyone that could prevail on Ukraine to stop its act of Genocide.
But Biden called it trash, and said what can Russia do? EU told Russia to shut up. United Nations just turned a deaf ear and pretended it did not et any Letter.

Then Russia launched its Special Military Operation (SMO), initially to just "jolt Ukrainian President Zelensky" into responding positively to Russia's concerns, including the potential integration of Ukraine into NATO.

Russia was a few kilometer from rolling into Kiev but they then went to Istanbul and had a meeting which produced a ceasefire Agreement, with one of the conditions being that Russia should, as a show of goodwill, withdraw it's forces back from Kiev.

Russia agreed, signed and withdrew it forces back. (Istanbul 2022 agreement)
Boris Johnsonn flew to Ukraine and asked Zelensky not to sign the Agreement, asked him to "keep fighting" and promised him weapons.

The rest is where we are today. Ukraine is bleeding, Zelensky is crying that Elon Musk is not supporting him with Starlinks, that Trump i not giving him weapons or slowing down Starshield for his use!

Should you not have your own Weapons, if you want to fight or is he that stewpid not to realize that he should not have allowed himself to be pushed to the "edge of a Cliff"...... and he must now jump alone?

It is not easy but l have gone to this extent, to explain what is really going on to you because some of you like to take things from the middle and then run with it.
You can read all these things but just dont read only Western Media outlets, read others from other Non-aligned Countries and then make up your own mind.

Considering the high demand for these health workers and the japa syndrome, FG needs to create a more flexible working environment for those healthcare workers that remain in the country. They should be able to work in multiple hospitals so long as they can handle the tight schedules.

The current system whereby health workers are caged only in one facility must stop! If a heath worker is working with hospital A but is fit to also cover some shifts in hospital B, he shouldn't be restricted by one obnoxious civil service rule! I don't know the use of such obsolete rule in modern world!

Europe also has such rules too!
It is called maximum Working Hours and it is maximum of 169 Hours in a Calendar Month.
Exhausted Medical professionals are a danger o their Patients, na that sort dey forget Cotton Wool inside Patient or doze-off during a surgical operation.. grin

What Doctors and practically every Employee in Nigeria needs, is a working Economy, Low Inflation, affordable Food, Housing and Healthcare. Add Security to that, and a "Take Home Pay" they can live on, and still have some left to invest or save.

Even Nigeria should have taken Advantage by using this period to ask Russia to construct a Nuclear Power Plant for it, solving our Electricity Problems, once and for all. Egypt did so, Rwanda did so, Turkey did so, Bangladesh did so, and other Countries l cant readily remember now...... Countries with Leaders that have Sense and Vision.

I maintain there is no provocation whatsoeve[/b]r that caused the war. Yes, there were events that happened but none at the scale that should lead to war. Putting has been using those "levers" you talked about, since 2004!
He even signed and Agreement with Ukraine (Minsk I in Sept. 2014, and Minsk II in December 2015), guaranteed by Germany, France, UK and the United Nations but we all heard the Leaders of those Countries, later come out to say they did not honor those Agreement, because they had No Intention of honoring it from the start, that they just used it to buy more time to better arm Ukraine to face Russia in War!
I heard it from former German Chancellor, Angella Merkel, with my ears and eyes.
Putin was "signing agreement", looking for a Peaceful way out of the issue, while Ukraine was being Armed to the teeth, to NATO Standards as they said.
They were[b] putting Missiles on Russia's borders with Ukraine, setting-up Bio-WE@pons Labs specifically engineers for Russians, in many locations in Ukraine[/b], while putting was writing Letters to everybody, pleading to avoid outright War but they said he can go jump-off a Cliff!

Is Russia supposed to be begging them, till it gets too late and then gets annihilated or shattered into pieces, as they did to USSR in 1990? You think Putin has No Sense of History? huh

I like people who ask sincere questions and want sincere answers, it shows they are open to new information and compelling arguements.

Now, we can not start a tape measure from the middle, we usually start from the beginning!
Russia did not just attack Ukraine.
Ukraine constituted itself into an "Existential Danger", to Russia: By insisting it will join NATO, knowing that it shares a Border with Russia and NATO is an adversary trying to dismantle Russia!
That means it takes NATO Missiles under Two Minutes, to enter Russian territory.

It is like having Russian or Chinese Nukes on Mexican Soil or in Canada, America will not think twice before invading Mexico or Canada.

It is called the "Munroe Doctrine". Please read it up and get up to speed as well, on the "Cuban Crisis", when USSR tried to station Russian Missiles in Cuba.

Russia wrote a lot of Letters in 2020 and 2021, to the UN, to America, to the EU Parliament, to China, to African Union, to about anybody that will listen and can prevail on Ukraine not to go ahead. Russia warned that it will have No Choice than to invade Ukraine and force it to change its stance, if it will not change course.
BUT ZELENSKY REFUSED.

To your Question: The best way around this conflict would have been for Ukraine to understand that Major Powers have "areas of influence" and they would not tolerate an adversary stationing weapons or having direct influence in Countries within such area of influence.
In doing so, it will take Russia's concerns into consideration and not join NATO but work with Russia, the way Mexico is working with America, to ensure Peace between them.
That is before the War.

Now that the war has started and is ongoing, what is the best way around it?
Russia and Ukraine will always be "Neighbors", that is the reality of Geography!

Neighbors have two choices:
1) Settle your Differences amicably or
2) Fight (attack or defense) until one Conquers and Assimilate the other.

Which option would you advise Ukraine/Zelensky to take?

Obviously, Zelensky wants to Fight (he calls it "Defend" wink

until Russia is defeated (and then Russia, being the looser, will be broken up into smaller pieces by Zelensky's backers, it's resources taken and it's people assimilated).

The problem with this Option is that Zelensky's Neighbor is just too powerful for Zelensky to defeat, even if the war goes on for another 100years!

That makes the Option 2 he has chosen, to be a foolish one, because what is the point of engaging in a fight you are bound to loose?
Wise people 'retreat tactically'.

If he takes Option 1 NOW, which is what he should have taken, when the opportunity came knocking (Istanbul Ceasefire Agreement), he would tell Putin: You Win, we Lost. We agree not to join NATO but please, give us an Iron-Clad Guarantee that, as long as we dont join NATO and we are not a Hostile Neighbor to Russia, you will never invade us.

I believe Russia will accept this, because that is what they want all along and as well, they had that sort of Agreement with FInland, but it held for over 80years, until last Year, when Finland suddenly slipped into NATO (along with Sweden, sensing that Russia was still busy with the Ukraine War! But this Ukraine War will end and then they would realize the mistake they have made undecided

All other minor but equally important issues can then be discussed and ironed out in phases (Ethnic Ukrainians, Donbass and other Regions taken in War by Russia, Russian Orthodox Churches plundered by Ukrainian Government, issue of "Banderites" and Nazis in Lviv and other parts of Ukraine, etc

But Zelensky will not agree to PEACE, as long as it has One Ukrainian still alive and it's backers are providing it with MONEY and WEAPONS. He loots some of the Money, sells some of the weapons on the Black Market and his people die in Battle, using the rest.
The failed European Leaders backing him will not even allow him to choose PEACE, thy would kpai him instead, and he knows this.

Russia on the other hand, knows what an existential threat Ukraine has become and it will ENFORCE SURRENDER, at one point or the other so, it keeps attacking, killing and claiming territory of its "Existential Enemy"....Zelensky's Ukraine, until they surrender or die.

To avoid this end-game, Donald Trump is trying to force Zelensky out and so as allow Ukraine to put forward another President, who can, and is ready to NEGOTIATE Option 1 (Peace settlement on Russia's Terms), with Russia.
He knows Ukraine cannot win this war and Zelensky is a dead-man walking, better to do it sooner than later.

That is the Devil's alternative: Either way, Zelensky is Toast. undecided

Nigerians being in Darkness, is NOT the same as Ukrainian being in Darkness!
It is already Snowing in Ukraine as we speak and i am talking about sub minus Ten Degrees Snow!

Imagine what those living on say the Tenth Floor of the many High Rise Building in Ukraine, when Winer arrives at around -30Centigrade and there is No Electricity, No Gas, No Heating!

Mayor of Kiev (Kilitshcko), has already asked Ukrainians to EVACUATE from Kiev!
Zelensky is at war with Kilitshcko right now, over that instruction.

Kilitschko is saying to them t evacuate, so they dont FREEZE TO DEATH in their apartments.
Zelensky want them to remain so that it does not become obvious that he has lost his Capital City and by extension, the War! That would negate the 'popular story' that Ukraine is winning the war!

As for me, l always Vote as "Ukraine is winning the war".
Zelensky is my Pal, his wife just bought a Bugatti last week, enjoying life while Ukrainian Mothers are crying over their Male Children who just went through a meat Grinder.

I understand your point, Bro.

Just because a Product is New in the Market, or the Name is Chinese or does not 'ring a Bell' or even because it is NOT Expensive, does not mean it is of Bad or of low quality!

In Nigeria, we usually associate "quality" with "High Price" but experience has shown that Sellers are capitalizing on our assumptions and just upping the Price for us.

Some Sellers are New therefore, their Products are relatively Unknown.
But they want to "break" into the Market and make a name for themselves so, they (initially) reduce their Prices, to attract Customers since they know that we are all Price-sensitive!

It is after they have established The Quality of their Product in the Market, made a Name for themselves, that they then revert to Normal or even higher Prices.

My suggestion:
- Read Reviews, from those who have actually bought and used the Product.
-Rread such Reviews from Reputable and Independent Sites like TrustPilot.
- Check the Sales level of the Product: the more the Buyers, the more trustworthy their Reviews
- Pay attention to their "Warranty & Returns Policy": Manufacturers who have confidence in their Products, are not afraid to offer long Warranties and will make 'Returns' very easy for their Buyers, should they have any issue with their Product. They are just confident that only a very tiny Fraction of Buyers will have the need to Return their Product

BTW: I was having this same discussion an hour ago, with my youngest Child, a University Freshman, who wants to buy a Soldering Iron for one of his Engineering Courses and we saw a "Cheap One" that has Temperature Control, On/Off Switch, Extra Solder Tips, etc.
His immediate response was: Dad, l dont want that One, if it is that cheap, it cant be that good! shocked

Young Man did not even bother to read the reviews or any of the other things l mentioned above.
Ofcourse, l am the one Paying, shey you get. undecided
