The people saw this coming, the constant deterioration of the economy and the fast deplorable state of insecurity in the country among other societal ills was a pointer to what to expect in coming elections.

Senator Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party was declared the duly elected executive Governor of Osun State yesterday, defeating incumbent Governor Oyetola by a comfortable margin.

The Osun State election would be the last gubernatorial election held before the 2023 presidential elections, so the outcome is critical to Nigerians.

Some attributed the APC's defeat to infighting within the party, while others said it was due to the popularity of the Adeleke's, a family well known for its goodwill throughout the state. Still, others credited Davido for his role in sensitizing people about the importance of voting for his uncle.

It can be challenging to pin down the precise reason an incumbent lost his seat, but one thing is for sure: the public was united in its rejection of mediocrity.

The result is a positive development for the LP and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, because it has been established that the electoral process has been sanitized, and it does not favor the ruling party, also known as the locust, which has been feeding fat from the citizens' common patrimony.

Members of the LP see the APC as a desperate party hell-bent on retaining power despite mismanaging the trust bestowed upon them by Nigerians. The APC also claims structure but lost the election badly.

The party that boasts of people like Bisi Akande, the founding national chairman of the party and former governor of the State, fell flat to the popular Adeleke, and the same state that boasts of Iyiola Omisore, the current national secretary of the party, fell flat to the trumpet of the people.

In addition, Fani Kayode, Femi Adeshina, and a number of APC generals from Osun State were unable to block the people's progress.

Nigerians must come out in force to usher in the desired change. God has leveled the playing field for all of us by strengthening the INEC and ensuring free, fair, and transparent elections. Osun has shown that there is no reason why Nigerians should not exercise their right to vote and teach these scumbags a painful lesson in their own coin.

With the advent of electronic transmission, rigging has become more difficult. Even well-liked candidates can win elections if they work harder. As a result, Peter Obi's chances of winning in 2023 is certain.

The Osun elections demonstrated that Nigerians are less interested in political parties and more interested in the credentials and popularity of individuals, such as Peter Obi, who is currently in the spotlight. The 2023 presidential elections would be all about street credibility and integrity.

Nigeria no be Lagos, the APC and Tinubu have been demystified, Osun voters affirmed that in spite of voting for Adeleke they would vote Peter Obi for president. Nigerians are waking up and trying to be Obidient.

The APC's systematic demise has already begun; all that is left is for Nigerians to unite behind one voice and bury the party so that a new era of bliss can start, if not in 2023, then when?

Last weekend the APC presidential Flagbearer, Aswiaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu choose the former Borno State Governor and a present Senator, Kashim Shettima as his running mate sparking huge mixed feelings amongst Nigerians on a Muslim-Muslim ticket. Nigerians have since reacted to the pair with many especially from the Christian and Southern flanks denouncing the moves as highly insensitive.

Today, we will consider the implications of Tinubu's selection of a Muslim running mate and Atiku's selection as the PDP's presidential candidate in the 2023 presidential elections in relation to Peter Obi's rising popularity. 

Currently, the political equation is divided into three major strata: political elites, political parties, and the general public, which comprises the electorates.

The current crop of leaders are the political elites, who are more concerned with gaining votes than with the general interest of the populace in insisting on competence.
Because they rely so heavily on their personal structure to deliver them, the emphasis here is primarily on alliances with other politicians to actualize their self-interest.

Political parties, like political elites, believe they have enough structure on the ground to deliver their candidates and humble any politician, regardless of popularity; in this case, they believe their structure is what is required to seize control of power at the center. 

The general public, which is made up of the electorates, has a real say in that they are the deciding factor on who emerges as the elected representatives, and they are the ones with the real numbers, and these numbers do not care where you come from but are tired of the way Nigeria has been governed and administered over the years, and they are frustrated that the country is not making progress despite having a lot of manpower and massive financial resources.

A trip to the north by our reporters revealed a schism between the lines of thought of political parties/political elites and the current trending feelings of the general masses.

According to closely watched reports, the populace is fully aware that they own the STRUCTURE that these politicians and political parties claim as their own. In their own minds, the upcoming election represents a clear indication that Nigerians have had enough and are voting accordingly.

Funny enough, the North believes that the nation's current woes—which include high levels of insecurity, a failing healthcare system, a deteriorating educational system with persistent strikes by lecturers, and a host of other problems—are caused by the recycling of old political figures who have served the nation over the years.

They see Tinubu's nomination as a continuation of the same hopeless situation, and to make matters worse, they see the APC's presentation of a Muslim-Muslim ticket as the pinnacle of insensitivity to other Nigerians in an effort to win over votes from the North in order to defeat the PDP's candidate, Atiku Abubarkar, whom the APC sees as a threat rather than the impoverished Nigerians in whose hearts they should be winning.

This is what a Northern cleric who sought anonymity due to his revered religious status had to say about Tinubu's choice of running mate and PDP Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

" I can categorically state that the selection of Tinubu as the APC's presidential flagbearer, combined with the nomination of Atiku for the PDP, has demonstrated that the ruling class is out of touch with reality on the ground; they have only demonstrated that the most coveted transformation that we seek is nothing more than a mirage with the two political parties. These are the same leaders who are to blame for our current national disaster.

To make matters worse, the APC chose a Muslim-Muslim ticket because, according to them, elections are about numbers, and because the PDP failed to zone its presidency to the South, they had to settle for a Muslim vice in order to counteract Atiku's influence.

If they were sensitive enough, they would have reasoned the electorates into their equation, but all they see is another political party that has derailed us for 16 years as opposed to we the masses who are feeling the pains. It is unfortunate that they do not consider the high rate of out-of-school children in the North, the underdevelopment we have in the North, the poor state of our girl child, and only care about muscling the same set of people just because they want POWER and nothing more.

We'll tell them this time that we have the numbers, not they. According to the most recent electoral statistics, fewer than 40% of Nigerians participated in the voting process. Fortunately, this time around, things have changed. We who are still undecided have committed to using our THUMBs to vote out both the APC and the PDP. We have the numbers, and as you can see, we've significantly increased those numbers.

Let us all be vineyard laborers; we chose Peter Obi over insecurity and a battered economy. Obi is the people's choice, and we support him; he has demonstrated the ability to unite the country and restore it to its rightful place among the comity of nations."

Other states monitored in the North East and North West have shown that the Labour Party's presidential candidate is indeed gaining popularity in comparison to traditional political parties. People are chanting "Dan Kudu" in support of Peter Obi, saying, "Let us stand by the South."

The North Central appears to be an Obi ground already, as Benue, Nassarawa, and Plateau State appear to be "Obidient," as Peter Obi supporters are known.

If the recent zeal shown in the electoral process by 80 per cent of registered voters is sustained, the APC and the PDP will face a difficult battle. The average Northerner believes that a new era is required in Nigeria today and that if millions of Nigerians dissatisfied with the hopeless state of our nation's affairs actively participate in the electoral process, Nigeria will be set for a rebirth.

Every democratic nation has a standardized terminology used by politicians and electorates that centres on regaining control of their nation during election seasons. As the general elections in 2023 approach, the slogan "Take Back Nigeria" or "Take Nigeria Back" has made it's way back into our collective psyche.

The people's rallying cry, "Take Back Nigeria," originally stood for liberating the nation from a particular oligarchy that gorges itself on Nigerians' national wealth and from those who require the nation to advance one step and regress eight steps in return. A ruling class that is deaf to Nigerians' yearnings.

The slogan "Take Back Nigeria" suggests that the country's administration is in bad hands and that things are headed in the wrong direction.

Recently, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, invited Nigerians to assist him in reclaiming the country from mismanagement. His party is currently the toast of voters, who consider Obi and the LP as the party that will eventually reset the country.

According to reports from throughout the federation, the selection of Peter Obi as the party's presidential flagbearer has resulted in an upsurge in Labour Party followers. Nigerians see this as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to reclaim control of the country, and they are working tirelessly to make a difference.

The youths, who are the driving force behind these Tsunami changes, are doing everything humanly possible to get the elders to enter an alliance with them in order to reclaim control of the country through a figure like Peter Obi.

Carnivals, street performances, voter registration education, and other events are just a few of the creative tactics used by pro-Obi supporters to boost the Labour Party's popularity.

Everywhere you look in the six geopolitical regions, people are pointing to Peter Obi as the third force poised to unsettle the ruling party.

Since its independence, Nigeria has never had a long period of prolonged recession, with a rapidly declining economy, a battered currency, and an unreliable power supply riddled with the worst insecurity in the federation. Nigerians have suffered greatly.

With the populace's joy, Peter Obi has emerged as the Face of the Take Back Nigeria Movement, whose main goal is to return the country to its former glory.

Will Peter Obi be successful in his attempt to succeed President Buhari in the presidential elections next year? Let us cross our fingers and observe how the event unfolds.

The streets are now controlled by the same keypad warriors, who are a serious threat to the ruling elite. As you may have noticed, the gang up against Peter Obi is real. Those who eat fat by sinking their fangs into the jugular of the nation's treasury would not want to let go of it.

They would say or do everything to dissuade voters from choosing reputable candidates who can change  the status quo and put an end to their obscene greed.

Nigerians must play their part by talking to family members, friends, and neighbors, who will then talk to others. Nigerians must be the structure they talk about in order to reclaim the country.

“I don’t know whether you have them in your house. Just ask them, ‘Which party are you?’, they say ‘Obidients’; you understand. They do not want us; they are not talking about PDP or APC. They are looking for alternatives and they are many. You see all of them queuing for their PVCs now. They are not looking at the direction of PDP or APC now. They are looking for alternatives."

Those were the exact words of the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, who spoke to his party members at the PDP secretariat in Edo State a few days ago. His statements are a testament to what Nigerians are yearning for: a change in the manner the country is presently governed.

What a slap at the faces of the two major political parties. Of course, Godwin Obaseki has seen the light and recognized the need for Nigerians to embrace constructive change, a transformation driven by sincerity and integrity rather than deception, as is currently demonstrated by the APC and the PDP.

There is currently a mood of anger in the political system that has been stirring across the federation, and instead of turning away from the rotten system, the people have decided to seek a greater say in matters affecting their daily lives, and they want to become more effective participants in the political process by voting out the two dominant parties. This is what we call the peoples mandate and it needs no structure.

It is critical to rule with the trust of the people; the battle will be titanic and difficult, but Nigerians will succeed, just as they did in South Africa, France, and, most recently, Ukraine. Using Ukraine as an example, Volodymyr Zelensky, a lawyer and comedian, defied the system by defeating an incumbent President with over 73 percent of the vote with a party created in less than two years.

The heavens would not fall if Peter Obi wins the next presidential elections.This is what we must do to keep the fire burning.

Did you realize that only approximately 40% of registered voters actually vote?

Are you aware that the 60 percent of people who decline to vote are tired and sick of the way the country is run, but they are uncertain that their votes will be counted?

Are you aware that of the 40% who vote, 80% are affiliated with a political party? So how can we expect changes when the people who intended the country to fail are the majority turning out to vote on election days?

As a result, we must reach out to the undecided and explain why they must vote, as well as reassure them that Peter Obi is a legitimate option. We have a lot of work ahead of us, but the truth is that the governing class, such as Obaseki, makes the work easier with their confession of having failed us.

The fact that Obaseki is considering joining the Labour Party demonstrates that there is a real alternative to the tax collectors and Godfathers who are feeding fat on our shared wealth.

Nigeria is the World's Poverty Capital, thanks to the same Grandfathers who refuse to allow their Children and Grandchildren with innovative and creative ideas to rule.

We must keep the fire burning and sustain the mileage we have made with the ongoing voters registration , slow and steady they say wins the race. We must be OBIDIENT to the end.

"Yes, the 2023 general elections will reset Nigeria; it will serve as a wake-up call to African leaders across the continent that the time has come for the people to take power through constituted means; this is the first time in 30 years that we are seeing a people's movement ready to fight the old and recycled leaders to a halt."

That's what a 70-year-old retired teacher said at a town hall gathering in Plateau State, Jos, on Sunday evening. The septuagenarian interrupted a town hall meeting to remind residents of the importance of working to elect Peter Obi as the next president.

The grandmother, also known as "Mama Ibeji," was plainly enraged at why the country continues to deteriorate at an alarming rate with little or no action taken by the governing elite to avert the situation.

According to Mama, the only solution is for Nigerians to vote for competence and a president with the willpower to address the myriad of issues confronting the country. She said Peter Obi was the best option among the various presidential candidates, and she pleaded with the people to take advantage of the ongoing voter registration drive and obtain their PVCs.

Mama's crusade for Peter Obi highlights the gradual breaking of the so-called STRUCTURE JINX as preached by the dominant parties, the PDP and the APC. It is believed that the term structure was coined to discourage Nigerians from realizing that the majority of voters are not politically affiliated and, as such, are the real structure to be afraid of if there happens to be a structure.

From Mama's solo ministration at Jos in Plateau State we heard of over 15,000 youths and women in Nasarawa State indicating interest to become Peter Obi's crusaders, in a press conference same on Sunday the State Southern Zonal Chairman of Peter Obi Candidacy Movement, Victor Laka, explained that the youths decided to support the former Anambra State governor because of his leadership qualities.

According to him, the youths of the state's 13 Local Government Areas were tired of politicians from other political parties lying to the populace during electioneering campaigns about offering good administration, only to disappoint them.

Members of the two majority parties in Nigeria, the Peoples Democratic Party and All Progressives Congress in Imo North Senatorial District of Imo State on Sunday collapsed their structures into the Labour Party and pledged their loyalty and support to its presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

There is a continual rise in voter registration, with the vast majority of those who apply swearing allegiance to Peter Obi's candidacy, which is, of course, spreading like wildfire. Nigerians believe Obi's government will reduce waste and focus on servicing the nation's needs in the best interests of the people.

If the mood of the people is any indication, the APC and the PDP are in for a tough fight, as the LP's tactics appear to be working; our findings show that Nigerians are the structure if they simply vote. Yes, Obi does not sound or look like the typical politician who exudes grandeur, pride, and authority, but Nigerians need a radical departure from the norms of doing things same way and expecting different outcomes.

We understand why the governing oligarchs of the APC and PDP despise him; Obi represents a clear threat to their attempt to perpetually bind the country to their retrogressive policies in order to feed their selfish wants.

Peter Obi has proven to be a difficult nut to crack, effectively controlling the presidential race. Nigerians are rallying behind his campaign on a daily basis, looking for ways to compensate for the financial areas where Obi will be unable to meet electoral conditions.

The Obi campaign organization is now the most fortunate in Nigerian electoral campaign history. People appear to be directly involved in their case and have organized clusters of groups across the Federation’s 774 local government areas. The cell groups have particular missions to entice Nigerians to come out and make decisions about their future.

The electoral process has suddenly become appealing to the youths and the majority of Nigerians, who appear to have realized that if everyone went out to vote, the ruling elite would be gone for good.

A brief glance at the 2019 presidential elections reveals that Peter Obi has a solid possibility of defeating both the APC and the PDP if their approach of attracting undecided voters who often do not vote on election day is successful.

This plan appears to be viable because, in actuality, those who do not vote are the majority of Nigerians who believe that reforms in the country’s government are required. Unfortunately, Nigerians have never had a viable option to choose from when it comes to presidential contenders.

So Obi’s presidential campaign is a culmination of a master plan backed by the Nigerian people that has altered the game and restored hope.

According to INEC, a total of 84,004,084 million Nigerians registered to vote, with 29364,209 accredited voters and a total of 27,324,583 valid ballots. So, out of 84 million voters, only roughly 28 million voted to choose the winner.

Muhammadu Buhari received 15,191,847 votes, winning 19 of the 36 states. His primary opponent, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, received 11,255,978 votes and won 17 states and Abuja.

What happened to the almost 50 million voters who did not vote? Taking into consideration the deaths of some Nigerians and the migration of others, around 40 million votes still remains unaccounted for.

Now, Buhari won with only 15 million votes, indicating that the 40 million voters who may have voted could have outnumbered Buhari’s votes. Even if they spread their votes among other candidates than the APC and PDP, they might have garnered at least 20 million votes still to defeat Buhari and Atiku.

According to the most recent odds, Mr Peter Obi’s prospects are increasing as the APC and PDP’s poll numbers fall.

Since he departed the country on a commercial airline with other public passengers, the internet has been buzzing with numerous comments questioning his decision to undergo a study at a time when he is supposed to be campaigning and reaching out to Nigerians about his presidency.

Doyin Okupe, who spoke about the trip, claimed Obi was slated to see the Siemens plants, which had increased Egypt's electricity capacity in four years. His aim is to determine how and at what cost this may be reproduced in Nigeria.

While some Nigerians, primarily from the opposition, have questioned Obi's decision to embark on a noble and important tour for only three days, others believe that his travel demonstrates confidence in his abilities to take over the country's issues.

Beyond the euphoria his visit is arousing, here are some interesting facts to know about Egypt which is the cradle of world civilization.

Egypt has created over 10,000 factories and 34 new cities in the last seven years. The country is said to feature the world's largest water treatment facility, an archaeological museum, the world's fourth largest solar park, Africa's tallest skyscraper, the largest fish farm, and the continent's longest rail line.

In addition to all of this, the African country is now building the world's largest Olympic Sports City, a shopping mall, the world's largest first space research city, and a monorail line, among other things.

Obi has shown that he is prepared for leadership and remains focused on the goal. He is self-assured and has demonstrated to Nigerians that he has a clear path to national prosperity, in contrast to the big political parties, whose interests are to continue keeping power with nothing tangible to show.

The PDP killed Nigeria's power sector, and the APC came on board to cremate it finally. Obi's passion to see our country become one of the top industrialized nations in the world is admirable, and it should not be politicized; after all, it is only a three-day journey done with his own money, not tax payers' money.

2023 Presidential Election: No Structure Yet Obi's Campaign Takes Centre Stage In Taraba, Other States(Photos) 

The 2023 presidential election is proving to be an exciting game, Nigerians have suddenly realized that power can change hands from the current desperate and retrogressive government, which has delivered nothing but woes to the people. 

Prior to now, the nation was lost and had an overwhelming apathy when it came to voting for political office holders for a variety of reasons, including their ballots not being counted and a lack of alternatives to the array of electoral office holders presented by the main political parties.

It may interest you to know that the number of registered voters who show up to vote is far less than the actual number of registered voters. For example, in 2019, Lagos had 6,570,291 registered voters, but on voting day only 1,196,490 showed up and were accredited to vote, with a total valid vote of 1,089,567, indicating that the people who stayed home and refused to vote are far greater.

This applies to all states; the only exception is that in the North, a somewhat higher proportion of registered voters show up to vote on election day than in the South. If properly annexed, the difference in votes between the North and South is minimal.

A deeper breakdown of this data shows that those who normally turn out to vote are party members, with their structure accounting for 60% of the voters, while the remaining 40% are people who went out to vote out of conscience and are not affiliated with any political or under any influence.

So, in the case of Lagos, the people who can make a difference are the nearly 4 million voters who failed to show up on election day because they were afraid their votes wouldn't count ; Nigerians despise wasting their time on a process they feel does not matter.

However, after the emergence of Obi as the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Nigerians have begun to see that true change is possible; they see a man who is ordinary like them, who boards public transportation, interacts with the people, and has great ideas on how to move the country ahead.

It is now established that the high rate of new registered voters is due to the necessity for young people and well-meaning Nigerians to engage in the political process.

If these enthusiastic fans are added to the over 60% of registered voters who have always declined to vote, it is clear that a personality like Obi is capable of defeating an aged Tinubu and Atiku and becoming the next president.

A man stepped into the PDP secretariat in Abuja recently, and the staff and people began yelling Obi, Obi, Obi Obi; these individuals were not seduced by money and were members of the opposition party.

Obi is now the people's structure; those who advocate "NO STRUCTURE" are living in the past; their goal is to make it appear as if your votes don't count and there is no reason to believe that a progressive like Obi can ever be president.

Obi's presidential campaign is based on a street plan that works like a cell network system, including door-to-door efforts similar to those used by missionaries in the past.
They are forging on with a medical outreach to individuals in the hinterland who have no idea what medication is, and they are reaching out to people in communities where education is a luxury.

The cell network can be extremely effective, especially in these days of social media. Because of the discontent and rage directed at the two major parties, the Labour Party has emerged as a strong alternative to the APC and the PDP.

They say he has no STRUCTURE , but Taraba is rapidly falling flat for Peter Obi, with hundreds of youth movements launching campaigns in support of Obi. Take a look at the Taraba outreach program that these young people are putting on.

Fearing that the LP may seize power at the center, the APC and PDP have adopted a new mantra: NO STRUCTURE. This campaign aims to deter supporters of Peter Obi from continuing to spread his message of optimism and renewal.

These are all myths that Obi has NO Structure. I'm delighted that those who belong and own the future have awakened to reclaim what is properly theirs. Obi is now a movement, and the people are "Obi dient."

All we need to do now is vote in large numbers, because true change has arrived.
