Some of you have turned this thread to a gbasgbos platform . You all should take a chill pill please. What l posted as the OP was to let you know we are in a digital era and infotech age, meaning a serious government should not be talking about roadside business as a means out of poverty at this time. The same poverty that their economic policies created which led to massive hardship. I did the Akara business in year 2006 as a student and made huge profit in six weeks. It was not about survival for me and l had no single passion for the business. I only did it as a means to an end. My end goal then was the get a blackberry phone and the income was also enough to get a Timberland boot. I also explained that the business isnt that profitable as remi tinubu thinks when you consider all the expenses and logistics involved due to the high cost of food materials, rent for space or shop and cooking gas etc. If not for the support l got then, l won't have been able to embark on the little project. My point is her 50k grant is too small as support for rural women. Most of these women will just spend the money on personal needs. For those of you supporting what this ignorant first lady said, please let me ask you a valid question. Can you tell your daughter/son or brother/sister to go and sell akara or roasted corn by the road side because it is a lucrative business. Because that is what your insensitive first lady was trying to explain. It's obvious some of you didn't get the context of the story l narrated in the post. Please answer the question before l proceed.8

Picture one = Akara sold for N100 in surulere area of Lagos. Its cheaper in some other locarions in Lagos and sold for N50. Picrure two = 7 pieces of Akara sold for N27k at an eatery in LEKKI. May be Remi Tinubu or Seyi Tinubu owns that eatery. Very weird set or people.
