Music/RadioRhythm Newscasters by smaz(op): 12:03pm On Dec 04, 2007
Back in the day as young kids,we use to marvel at the dexterity of non-native speakers in calling nigerian names and places correctly on NTA NEWS,but today, that has flown away like the birds of the skies.rhythm fm and some stations have continued to corrupt our names when they cast news on tv that my grandmother wonders at their scandalous pronunciations.i believe both radio and tv stations should employ language specialists to teach their newscasters the correct pronunciations of nigerian names and places.

God bless your heart RADIODJ,but for others who are running their mouths like a broken wind-pipe,you dont understand the intricasies of rap music.in rap,you dont start what you cant finish, nas vs jay-z,pac and biggy, game and 50 cent, fatjoe and 50cent,D12 vs cassidy, you dont retrace your steps even when you quash the beef.even if you become friends again, you dont spit like you regret ever poking the embers of your lyrical war.heard mode's single on rhythm yesterday,'YOU CANT HIDE',mode 9 who feels like an apostle of the Queen's english should hide his face in shame for spitting a line in pidgin.hear this,'i know no wetin he wan do, ', i believe mode should f, king stay on his lane and practise what he preaches, remember,'OVRTAKE DON OVERTAKE OVERTAKE, FIRE BURN THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

grin sad shocked coolone wonders why the self-acclaimed naija lyricist wants to quell the embers of his lyrical war with some rappers when we are beginning to really enjoy the whole show, on his last album,ONE AMONGST MANY,there was a drawing of a guy with a head warmer on his head.in one of his lines, mode said he doesnt need a head warmer on his head, neither does he need half-naked dancers to make his song a hit.who could he be refering to except RUGGEDMAN, RECENTLY,i heard a new single of his titled 'BRING THEM BACK' where he lyrically begged rappers to quash the beef and let them make the money, finally, mode 9 has showed that he isnt what he claims to be.he said he wasnt ever going to go commercial, but i wonder what kinda song NIGERIAN GIRLS and FAKE UP IN THE CLUB of his last album is?, if he wanted to keep his virginity and take rap like a religion(like el-dee opposed),WHY DID HE TAKE THE GLO CONTRACT AND USE HALF-NAKED DANCERS, MODE 9 IS A FAKE-ARSE NIGGER!
Jobs/VacanciesRe: The So-called Dragnet Revolution For Graduates (the Remix) by smaz(op): 10:12am On Nov 19, 2007
grin angry cooldragnet do not collect cvs, they register you on their database electronically after going through their personality assessment test and their main test, that contains 50 questions, all these steps would be done electonically at their world test centre in lekki, dragnet affords employers a sort of 'pool' to choose from, that is,an opportunity to choose from the available 'pool' of the best brains in nigeria with no strings attached.instead of you going through the hassles of taking test everytime someone is recruiting, your cv and test scores would be available for viewing by recruiting companies on dragnet's database, and pls dippy,go pick up your free form at dragnet office in lekki, ask for baba ikazobah. tongue embarassed lipsrsealed

smiley grin sad cool :WE ALL REMEMBER WHERE THE LAST EPISODE OF THE 'DRAGNET' SOAP OPERA ENDED,THE LAST EPISODE WAS WHERE I CONCEDED MY FREE DRAGNET FORM TO DIPPY , BUT FATE HAD SOMETHING ELSE IN THE OFFING FOR ME.ON MONDAY,I WON A FREE DRAGNET FORM COURTESY RHYTHM FM 10TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY AND OFF I WENT, TO THE HOME OF REVOLUTION FOR GRADUATE RECRUITMENT.AFTER GOING THROUGH THE HUSTLES OF LAGOS,I FINALLY GOT TO THE WORLD TEST CENTRE OF DRAGNET WITHOUT BEING UPBEAT ABOUT DRAGNET.AFTER SUBMITTING MY FREE FORM,I ASKED TO SEE THE GUY WHO REPLIED OUR POSTINGS ON NAIRALAND AND I WAS USHERED INTO THE OFFICE OF BABA,M.D. DRAGNET, AND WHAT HAPPENED AFTER BLEW ME OFF MY AXIS,WHAT I SAW PROVED BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT THAT DRAGNET WAS THE NEXT LEVEL FOR GRADUATES.AGREED THERE ARE A LOT F DUPES OUT THERE HIDING UNDER THE CLOAK OF RECRUITING AGENCIES,BUT DRAGNET IS DIFFERENT.BEFORE ANYONE THINKS I AM A PAID PIPER,I WAS SHOWN A CONFIDENTIAL FILE THAT CONTAINED THE MOU SIGNED BETWEEN DRAGNET AND THE ADVERTISED COYS INCLUDING NNPC,IBTC,ZENON,ADIC INSURANCE,IGI ETC, I WAS SHOWN AROUND THEIR TEST CENTRE,THOUGH I COULDNT PICK THE AMOUNT OF FLAT SCREEN PCS THERE,AND ALL WAS ENOUGH TO PROVE TO ME THAT WE HAVE NO CAUSE TO WORRY, IF YOU DOUBT ME,TAKE A TRIP TO PLOT 7 ONIRU MARKET ROAD,LEKKI AND SEE A NEW WORLD OF GRADUATE RECRUITMENT FOR YOURSELF.CIAO! cry kiss

grin angry shocked cool hi guys, got invited for an oceanic test in enugu on the 27 october, but after travelling from lagos to enugu,i couldnt write the test.aside the venue being inadequate for the invitees, the soldiers mannig the entrance made sure people counted loses.a girl got her head broken,a guy lost his phone and a lot of people sustained injuries or lost their possesions to the commotion outside the venue, about 70% of the invitees couldnt write the test with those of us who travelled down getting our fingers burnt, all for a job!huh

hi dragnet,i am really impressed with your offering me your recruitment exercise for free.in as much as i need a job like every graduate,i will like to concede the chance to dippy or any member of the house.the fact that i initiated the topic doesnt imply that compulsorily i must enjoy the dividends, choose a member from the house but not me! thanks. shocked cool grin cheesy

hi nairalanders!i actually initiated this topic and i am really impressed with the responses.i dont blame that guy from dragnet, one shouldnt expect less from an employee of an organisation.i believe the best way for them to prove us wrong is to test-run a member of this forum for free,so the person can actually come and feed us back, whether our accusations are founded or not.thank you everyone! grin angry shocked
Jobs/VacanciesPegging Applicants by smaz(op): 10:00am On Oct 08, 2007
coolHi peops!one wonders why company recruiting send applicants on a wild-goose chase.i strongly propose them putting limits on the applications they collect instead of allowing us go through the stress of submiting our cvs and not being called for tests.if that is done and one doesnt meet the number limit, one would be rest assured and seek more opportunities instead of hoping and praying for something that would never come, if they wanna collect all cvs submitted, they should be ready to give all a fair chance of writing tests like firstbank did and separate the boys from the men at the battle ground instead of using their own intuition.ciao! grin

smileyhi nairaland users! i will like to ask what the house feels about dragnet, the recruitment agency that asks for 7500 before you can be registered on their database.why should graduates who can barely afford t.fares to their test centres be allowed to face such wicked hurdles?personally,i can afford the 7500 but how many people can afford that amount of money considering the amount we expend on browsing monthly.what do you feel about this?
