2bad:JUS nice to hv a place to voice our thoughts wt others, i prefer whinnning abot it though. UBn is drivn by bottomline thas wy it is a really sound bank, really they owe us nothing. but i suppose they r doing there best to be fair. for the meantime, i cnt put my hand in uBn hand or any othr. i hv stoped saying i hv a UBN job. i'm actively trying to build my experience wt asmall outfit in town, looking out for other things out thr & casting my care & trustin God to help find direction 4 my life watevr it is. AS WELL THAT ENDS WELL |
nellynelly:Thats some quantum detective work thumbs up |

CBN is definitely the finest place to start work in Nigeria. job security is better than other other high paying outfits & u hv a pension. and dont hv targets or night shifts. but then u hv to come up against the red tape & geopolitics of govt outfits-sth has got to give! |
Affalatus:very funny! |
(thumbs up) |
i'm just thinking if one had to do wt out one of 'em. i think nairaland is sth nigeria shld be proud of but i dont knw if the develpoers wuld add more facebooky features |
Oh my God, if U have never used a MacBook U r ignorant. Exactly how I felt! When I offered to configure network settings for a lady's, & could not find the windows logo key (start button). |
Nairaland is where I come for information (& blog) about jobs. Facebook, I joined because every one I knw is joining (& putting there pictures). What I don’t like about nairaland is that a T9 seemed to correct my English on topic I posted? One can use facebook to keep an eye on people as ur lives take different paths long after u r to old to bother abot posting & reading others posts. |
(just a thought) For them all this dating thing is just a game. (if u will survive there r rules don’t break 'em). Stay on top of things. If U don’t get out while U still ahead, When she is on top, 'em sisters wipe the floor wt U. |
thanks, u guys(nigerians r resourceful) |
is anyone else in my shoes- i wrote in Abuja & i rcievd the mail notifing me of intrview, but i hav not recieved the text msg others hav reiceved slating the interview for next week? |
i dont knw wat i'm going to be doing , |
A man of good age (urs truely) is looking for a psychologist to stop him from day dreaming about the kind of puppy love U see in silly old Indian films. |
The global recession will soon be over(IMF). PHB will start hiring again. But then I will be overage. |
wait, did you write the first bank aptitude test? The thing was hard, because it is the soundest bank in the country. It has survived a $100m loan write down during sth international /NITEL privatisation saga & now has a risk control guru as headman. My father, with quantum years of queing up to cash his small checks hasn't even broached the "thought" of moving his acct! If any bank will outlast these troubling financial times it is the elephant. First bank HR, if you are reading this post, please call me. I love you. |
Firstbank, firstbank, firstbank(i'm shaking mhead)pls call chic bella |
does that meaan a surety who will be signing need nt possess evidence (eg. bank statement)of his ability to settle any claim that will arise shld one leave. othrwise in todays banking climate union bank's is the the best offer anyone can get |
Emilo, wt ur MSc u may still need about 2yrs relevant experience working to go into the kind of NGOs that advertise openings in national dailies. esp if ur masters is in public health, etc. i wnt to do my prog. in dev. econs or project mgt. i knw some one huz work incl monitoring openings at NGOs send ur email addy to mine (to churchmind.dairist@gmail.com), he may b willing to add it to his distri. list & alert u shld sth come up dannio:dannio, thanQ for the thumbs up |
I want to work at an International Development Aid Organization, especially UN! The pay is excellent, I imagine the work experience is exciting & what work is nobler than that done for humanity. But the catch is always a masters degree and work experience. Since I choose this to build a career, I am now wt a local NGO and waiting to start to start a MSC programme in Economics. However, my plan Is unravelling as I have gotten 2 bank offers already |
Calling all Union trainees! wat a good offer frm UBN. but wat if u dnt hv surety to put up 2m NGN? |
