This video is already spreading across the Internet like a duet from Justin Bieber and a zombified Liberace and will soon be on every blooper reel created from now until the end of time. For good reason, too. It's a smidge embarrassing. In a tense match between Maghreb Fez and FAR Rabat to decide who reaches the quarterfinals of Morocco's Coupe du Trone, they had to go to a penalty shootout to decide a winner. During that shootout, FAR goalkeeper Khalid Askri thought he came up with a big stop and immediately began to celebrate his triumph, turning his back on the goal, patting his chest and kissing his badge in an abundance of pride and dripping self-confidence. More groups are planning to join the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Zone C, to protest against President Goodluck Jonathan”s touted intention to seek PDP”s presidential ticket. The Coalition for Voters Emancipation (CVE) said in a press statement in Uyo that it has concluded plans to move to the national headquarters, Abuja, September 12 to join NANS in the protest match against Jonathan. Leader of the group, Chief Monday Akpan, said that the student body was protesting against the President’s non-development of the zone, CVE believes that it is not proper for Jonathan to seek reelection as this will affect the outcome of the 2011 general election. Chief Akpan said that the coalition had noted that elections are usually rigged in Nigeria when the sitting president seeks nomination, noting that 2011 elections would be rigged if the president contested. He said CVE had massively mobilized youths across the nation to ensure that they participated effectively in the planned mass protest. He noted that elections in Nigeria are never based on the will of the people when incumbents seek to contest, advising all lovers of democracy to stop the president from contesting in 2011. http://www.voteibb.org/2010/09/09/voters-group-to-match-against-jonathan/ |
Even though the ticket isn't a week return, he will be asked to change it at the airport there. So, that shouldn't be a problem. Also, about the minimum amount he should have, I do not think it is $1000! |
The difference between one way and two way tickets is very little. And for real, there are no tricks. Malaysian Immigration Officers are very VERY strict on Nigerians coming into their country on a social visa. Yes, Nigerians reputation is very bad there. A lot of drugs, Yahoo! Yahoo! Kidnapping, street fights and other stuffs like that. The Malaysian immigration are aware that most Nigerians that indulge on such crimes entered their country with a social Visa. So tell your friend that he cannot outsmart the Malaysian Immigration. I was there last December, I traveled from the United States. My return flight was 30 days, and that was a problem. They asked me to change it to a week. They have all the major airline offices inside the airport there. So they only stamped a week visa for me. The only trick I played them was that as a Nigerian, I need to show them cash of at least $2000. Damn!, I had only $700 on me, but I showed them my VISA ATM cards that all my money were in it. So they allowed me in. I enjoyed my short stay there! Kuala Lumpur is a city that never sleeps. |
