AMI3: Who married each other? Is it the woman or the man? If it is the man how did he get the money to marry her? Does it mean when a man choose not to work for somebody does that mean he is a lazy man? I don't know is your definition of Lazy. He has no money for business, he decided not to work for any organization, his family contributed money for the wedding. There was a time the wife got a loan for him to start a business, he couldn't do the business because he can't be waking up early. See, there are hardworking men and there are also lazy men. |

bestman09: No man is lazy. Probably lost his job or business for sometimes but women will always be women. Take care of them 😊 for 30 years without people outside knowing and if something bad happens to the man, and they take care of the family for 1 year, the world will hear about how jobless and lazy the man is. I have seen lazy men, a friend of mine married one of them, I don't feel sorry for her because she knew he was lazy and still went ahead to marry him thinking he will change. The man said he can't work because he cannot be doing yes sir, yes sir for anybody |

casualobserver: as a result of poverty, we have elevated the wrong people as our role models in all facets of life, we think their actions are good actions or acceptable actions and I dont blame many because they know no bettter and the people with class in Nigeria just keep quiet and watch the madness take over. The problem with your example is that who says these people have any class simply because they are church, political or other forms of leaders? this is why I say be careful the kind of people we allow to be our role models because we can only be as good as their guidance, examples and their flaws. if a pastor wants to justify nonsense because he hasnt got the discipline or class to follow the scripture, so also will his followers because now he cannot chastice them for he did same. Let us not forget that divorce was once a sin in the UK church until a King came along who had no self control and pulled the church of England out of the cathloic church. Did the Bible change?, did the biblical pronouncements on divorce change? One bad leader changed to cover his frailties as a human and now a whole nation is allowed to divorce willy nilly but the words of the bible on divorce never changed. be careful accepting the leadership of flawed leaders. what is wrong is wrong.
Until you stop judging people by position, wealth, fame, fortune and power you wont understand what class is. when you do you will realise that most of the people (certainly in Nigeria) that you put on a pedestal are some of the most classless tacky people that exist. Class is about acceptable behaviour, having boundaries and a sense of appropriateness, that is what seperates the classes. "Anything goes", "I do as i want" is by definition low class, the more class you have the more things you cant do. Its not about what you have the power to do or what the law allows.
All these pastors...they will answer to God because when you are not leading by example, you are leading God's people astray. the judgement is not the judgement for your sins but the judgement for those you led astray with bad leadership.
and please when you give examples give appropriate examples. the wife of a pastor remarrying is not the same as an ordinary Nigerian widow remarrying, an ordinary person doesnt have the same weight of responsiblities over his/her head. For me it is Taboo but we have pastors who divorce, have affairs etc but again what is their pedigree?
with position comes responsibility, but when we elevate the classless to positions of influence in all aspects of life these things are what we get. its because anybody can wake up and call himself a pastor or Bishop and the gullible will follow.
look at this point i am waflling, to sum up class is about setting boundaries, a sense of what is or what isnt appropriate and knowing that you can doesnt mean you should. Class is like a fence that controls your actions and behaviour. Metaphorically, the smaller the fence that contricts your behaviour, the higher your class, the wider the fence the less class you have and if you have no fence or no boundaries then anything goes and you have absolutely no class.
leadership comes not just with responsibilities but a higher sense of responsibility than the masses in and out of office. Even the bible says it in Romans 13:1 that all leaders are from God, so they cannot act like ordinary citizens, they have a special responsibility to act appropriately.
everybody wants to be a leader, many dont understand the responsibilities and sacrifices that come with it. A pastor can remarry after the death of a spouse but the wife of a pastor can't remarry after the death of her husband? |
