Whats with you and this traffic and paparazzi stuff? Who cares? The fact remains that this act of Ronaldo did not go down well with fans and it will hunt him for a long time. He had just one simple task everyone expected him to do as a captain, spend less than 2 hours with the bereaved just to show support, but no he opted to be in a yacht at the time Jota was being lowered to the ground. If you like talk, if you like don't talk, Ronaldo has failed to live up to the expectations of a leader as far as this funeral is concerned.

Responsibility is the question here! No responsible member of a family member will miss such when he has the means to be available. Parents are excluded from the burial rites in some tradition as it is seen as a taboo, doesn't mean they will not be available at the premise. Guy stop bringing flimsy excuses, Portugal has no such tradition that is why he is being dragged publicly. Ronaldo ought to be more responsible than this!

As a leader there are responsibilities you must carry out and not deligate. If he can't play the role of a captain outside the pitch, then he isn't worth being called one

As a captain you are not just the leader of your team in the field, you are responsible for every team players wellbeing too. Moral support and guidance is key attribute of any leader. Leaders must not be friends/pals to every member of his team but when support his needed by a team member or his family as in this case an unbiased support is necessary. Not by force, but a responsibility as captain. There are certain things we do in life that isn't mandatory but because of our responsibility we just have to be available. To be a captain of a national team is not for show, it's for guidance, support, etc.
