Why do countries have nuclear weapons?


First, answer that question.

For its own security first and foremost and of course deterent to Nations like Iran and for security globally.

It remains known that no one can be trusted with a nuclear weapon, not America, not Israel, not Russia, yet these countries have a stockpile of them.


The only time nuclear weapons was used in warfare was in 1945 when the Americans dropped atomic bombs on Japan.



Now, the same America thinks they can be trusted to own nukes but Iran can't.



I hate the hypocrisy. There are Nigerians supporting Israel and America because they hate Islam. What they don't understand is that this conflict can quickly escalate into the Third World War.


Already, Turkey has begun talks on expanding their nuclear programme. Russia and China are watching and seeing how the United States is breaking protocol by bombing a sovereign state. They are taking note.

To some extent US can be trusted with Nuclear weapons because since 1945 after the Hiroshima and Nakasaki bombings the two countries have moved past that phase. The relationship between the two countries is so strong that US has military presence in Japan, I don't know why you are crying more than the bereaved.
