RomanceRe: Lesson i Learnt Today About Girls And Their Way Of Life by smugmanuel(m): 10:56pm On Jun 11, 2016
Looks like this happened at Oko poly. The girl in question had her wedding at Enugu. Well any relationship that starts in schools do end up in school most times. That guy should move on.
kevin25:
A guy in my neighborhood was dating a girl for a long time, I knew them as the best couple. The guy doesn't joke with anything that concerns the girl affair.

Today being June 11, this particular girl is getting married to one guy like that and the worst part is that not only that she breaks the guy's heart but she didn't let the guy know about her marriage plans Till today.

The guy in quote is very unhappy and was calculating how much he has spent on the girl since they started, not that he has a lot but he is trying his best to use the little money he has at his disposal to solve the girl's needs whenever they arise, no matter how big or small just to show the girl that he really lovers her.

I felt so bad for the guy but on a second thought I ask my self what is the need for dating? why do girls pretend they love you just to be with you for a while just to gain something from you and most of them know that they can't be with you for long still they persist on staying, by so doing l, they end up chasing away those that has the intention of staying with you forever..

Everyday is a lesson I have learnt my own today...I hope your learnt yours, is better to define any relationship to avoid the stories that touches the heart.. Define it so that you don't spend your hard earn money on a girl that doesn't value it..spend because you have not because your thinking that the girl will be your future wife where as she sees you as an ordinary friend..if you don't have, don't try so hard to impress because no matter what you do on this earth, you can never impress a girl...

No fewer than six people amongst them were suspected members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) including asmhatic patients reportedly feared dead with several others injured in a stampede at the APC’s presidential campsign/rally held at the Ramat Square, Maiduguri, the Borno state capital.

Our Correspondent who was in the entourage of governor Shettima reports that six people were killed during the uncoordinated visit, as the governor had since visited the victims at the hospital.

The rally which was well attended on Saturday by the APC presidential Candidate, General Mohammed Buhari, his running mate, Professor Yemi Asibanjo, Governor Kashim Shettima, state and national candidates of the APC, party stalwarts and thousands of its supporters thronged the streets as early in the morning, while many others had jump over the fence to venue of the rally amidst tight security.

Our Correspondent observed that, due to closure of gates leading to the venue by security operatives, all the four gates were later broken down by some rampaging youths, even as many had to scale through the fence to welcome the general.

Sources said, the five people killed were two asmhatic patients who were trapped in the stampede at the venue, while others died as a results of accident and a stray bullet fired by security operatives while controlling crowded that attempted to burnt down PDP offices in the state.

Also the PDP Campaign office of ex- governor Ali Modu Sheriff located few metres to the venue of the rally along Kashim Ibrahim Way was set ablaze by APC thugs who overpowered security operatives after breaking the gate and threw explosives inside.

Many PDP campaign centres located at strategic positions in the city of Maiduguri were vandalized with posters and bill boards were also destroyed by hired APC thugs during the visit.

Likewise, four people who claimed to be members of Civilian JTF were shot by security operatives while attempting to stop two trucks loaded with military arms and ammunitions that were entering the town. Sources and residents said, the trucks were intercepted around Umar Shehu General Hospital in Bulumkutu of the metropolis and when the security men attached with the trucks insisted that the arms and ammunitions belonged to military operatives, the youths refused to heed to their explanations, a situation that led to disagreement which resulted to shooting of the four youths.

Our Correspondent also gathered that one of the youths that were shot died before reaching hospital for treatment due to excessive bleeding.

It was also gathered that at the venue of the rally, sporadic gunshots, including a sustained firing by the Military Armoured Personnel Carrier and tear gas engulfed the venue of the rally all in an attempt to control the crowd.

General Buhari who stormed the venue of the rally at 1:30pm could not address the uncontrolabble crowd, who started vandalizing Channels cables, stole their cameras which led to the instant cut off of the live coverage.

Our Correspondent observed that General Buhari had to be sneaked out of the venue to Government House, Maiduguri where he was expected to have indoor meeting with some Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) officials in the state

PoliticsRe: Military Repels Boko Haram Invasion Of Gombe State, Restores Normalcy by smugmanuel(op): 10:50am On Feb 15, 2015
The truth is that not all the northerners support the military and some of our military men sympathizes with boko haram but God will see Nigeria through and give our military total victory.
fedesng:
Carl von Clausewitz, a German theorist, opined that three elements are needed to fight a war successfully.

First, Good army: It is questionable whether Nigeria Army is good. No equipment, no apposite training and largely underpaid.

Second, Will of the people to support the war: Many theories exist about the people responsible for the attacks and their sponsors. What you hear depends on the tribal affiliation of the person you ask. Objectivity on national issues is a rare trait. Even the well educated are confused and make you wondered if it is true that "the educated people are the eye of the society"

Third, Solid government: Corruption (my bad. Mere stealing) has weakened the leaders. Shop-I-shop has been the order of the day for so long that most leaders have skeleton in their cupboard. Which in turn has made check and balances impossible. No rule of law. Justice is only for the rich and well connected. Nigerian society is like the "Animal Farm".

My hope is that Nigerians will have the balls to elect patriotic and selfless leaders like Thomas Sankara, Mandela or Tunde Idiagbon. Leaders who are able to differentiate between individualism and nationalism. I got to go.
PoliticsMilitary Repels Boko Haram Invasion Of Gombe State, Restores Normalcy by smugmanuel(op): 12:46am On Feb 15, 2015
•‘Monguno on the verge of being liberated, terrorists moving southward’

By Senator Iroegbu in Abuja

The Nigerian military has successfully repelled the Boko Haram terrorists that invaded Gombe State in the early hours of Saturday and have since expelled them completely to Yobe State.

The Director of Defence Information (DDI), Maj-Gen. Chris Olukolade in response to THISDAY inquiries said that normalcy has been restored and the terrorists routed from the state.

Olukolade confirmed the DHQ tweet saying: "The terrorists’ attack on Gombe has been repelled. Troops are in pursuit”.

He said that the military are in hot pursuit of the terrorists who have scattered in different directions towards Buni Yadi in Yobe state.

According to him, the terrorists move was an act of desperation to show that they can disrupt the forthcoming election following series of defeats in their major enclaves in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe states.

Olukolade said: "Calm has returned and troops are pursuing them and have pursued them up to Buni Yadi in Yobe State. That was where some of them ran to, They have actually ran to different directions and are being pursued.

"At the moment they went to Gombe just to prove a point that they are still alive and can disrupt the elections. You can see that they were distributing leaflets".

The Defence spokesman said that combined air and ground operations are being sustained in pursuit of the terrorists to ensure they don't gain a foothold in Gombe state, and prevent them from exercising their terror in the forthcoming general elections.

In the same vein, security sources told PRNigeria that the terrorists are desperately seeking other places to set up camps as they are being pursued from their existing camps in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe states.

The report noted that in the last few weeks, Boko Haram camps in the northern parts of the states close to the borders with neighbouring countries have been under intense pressures from Nigerian troops in cooperation with troops from the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF).

It disclosed that some of the terrorists’ camps have been destroyed, and as they could no longer enter Cameroon and Niger so easily, they are moving southwards, the sources confirmed.

Daji Sani in Yola

Mrs Hannatu Zira, one of the women abducted by the Boko Haram insurgents from Grata village in Michika local government area of Adamawa State, has revealed that some of the insurgents are living inside the cave of a huge rock popularly known as "Bekin Dose" situated between Michika and Madagali close to Sambisa forest.

The revelation came when THISDAY come across Zira on Wednesday in Yola, the state capital, already taking refuge in one of her relatives’ house.

She said she escaped by the whiskers from the hands of her abductors last week by the aid of one of the sympathetic insurgents.
Attributing her escape to God's mercy, she prayed for other women abducted with her on the same day by the insurgents during their recent onslaught on some Adamawa villages for God to help them out of the hopeless situation they are in.
She said some women and children were still languishing in the custody of the insurgents and urged government to expedite action to rescue them from the hands of the insurgents.

"You need to be there to see how wicked these people are, they are inhuman and merciless when they want to commit any ad hoc on a person. If you don't cooperate with them they will slaughter you straight away," she said.
Mrs Zira has also urged the military to extend its recent bombardment on Sambisa forest to Bekin Dose adding that when she was living under the custody of the insurgents inside the cave, she observed that the insurgents rush into the cave when there was any serious hit on them.

"It is a very big cave which can contain more than three thousand persons. What the insurgents do was to rush into the cave whenever there is any serious attack on them.
"If you are a stranger you will not know that there is a cave like that, unless the military bombard the rock completely or smoke them out of the cave for the sake of other women and children still in their custody" she said.

She further said they were well fed by the insurgents with at least two square mills daily, adding that they only denied their abductees food and beaten as punishment for minor offences but death is the penalty for major offences, especially if you are caught trying to escape or trying to divulge useful information to the military.”

Soludo is like a stubborn misguided child. Nobody destroyed his political ambition, he destroyed whatever little chance he had himself.

It is funny how he is so trying to sound like technocrat when he is no longer one.

There are thousands of internationally recognized indices to support and show that the economy is doing well.

The base of the whole epistle he wrote is that, this administration the did not save, placing on the blame on the executive and the FG, such a myopic view from a pained man.

Even Russia with all its mighty reserves is suffering badly from drop in oil prices
well looking at it from the economic perspective, I think Soludo is some hiw right. Before we comment , I think we need to go through that article and analyze it deeply. Let's keep sentiment aside here. Let's stop this bullying or calling him different names .
The big question is, how strong is our economy? How well has the government performed economically? How many jobs did this government provide for our youths and graduates? As I'm writing this over 5 graduates came into my office today looking for a job even if it is a driver , they don't mind.
Was it not during president GEJ tenure that crude rose to its highest price selling for 120 per barrel. What did they do with the excess sales? They shared it among themselves and the governors. The masses are suffering. Some of us ate indomie noodles as dinner not because we want to but because we have no choice.
Believe it or not there's gonna be an economic austerity this year. Be ready and be prepared for the famine economically. Dollar now sells for 210 and if crude oil should fall below 40 dollars, then expect another devaluation.
APC and PDP are yet to outline their economic plans for us. How do they intend to get us back on track economically?
I am even sick and tired of reading articles telling us how bad our economy is and none has a solution to this crises rocking our economy.
My fellow nairalanders let's keep party, political , religion and ethnic difference aside and let's build a strong nation called Nigeria. Unity is what we need and we the masses have to come together and stand as one. All these politicians (apc and pdp) have no plans for us.
we need to plan for ourselves.

The man with the mandate. Looking at the way this man made it to the top, you will agree with me that God has a way turning things around in HIS own way.
From lecturer to deputy governor and from there to governor and from there to vice president and later became the president. You all will agree with me that God is with this man oh....from boko haram to ebola and all all manner of media attack and He is still standing. Although He is not perfect cause there are still some trace of corruption in his government but I think He's the best for now.
