I am no expert. But the little research I have done on the man, Buhari leads me to conclude (at least at first) that during his own administration (albeit Military), he had some good ideas- the War against Indiscipline, the curbing of imports and the refusal to accept IMF conditions to devalue the Naira. Perhaps if we had continued in this direction, our economy today would be stronger; who knows?

However, I do wonder about all the allegations of his connection to Boko Haram. There is of course, the age-old saying- "There is no smoke without fire". I think we must try our best to be objective in dealing with Buhari, and not just jump on the band-wagon, using his previous failures, or his ethic or religious background as fuel.

To be honest, I don't know how I feel about the recent judgement. I look around and I feel that GEJ isn't doing enough to curb the violence and corruption that is daily raping our nation. I wonder whether a threat to his tenure would make him 'sit up' as it were. God knows. I pray that Nogeria is close to the light at the end of her very long tunnel.
