I have followed this Thisday Music Awards with keen interest and I must say that I think the organisers made a mistake. I am not begrudgng them for inviting all those stars, they could still do it but not under the guise of independence celebrations. Those guys know nothing about Nigeria's independence. They should have been invited under the guise of something else, not something as serious as Independence. If they wanted to organise an Independence show, they should have invited the old musicians like Victor Uwaifo,Olisadebe,Onyeka Onwenu and the likes of them all. Those are the people who have been there right from independence, then they could then garnish it with them Psquare,Stylplus and 2face. After all, during the Ameriacan Independence, would they invite Psquare to come and sing for them? Let us be proud of our musicians, instead of bring people who preach obscenities. My 2cents.

Music/RadioRe: nigeria Rocks!-this Day Concert by snazzydawn(f): 6:45pm On Oct 03, 2006
I heard the ticket fee is 25 thousand, 30 thousand and 100 thousand naira for normal, 2days and VIP respectively. With these high rates, I wonder who will turn up at the awards. What the hell were they thinking of pegging it so high? Who watches them? is it not people like me and you? Majority of their fan base are students and young people in the age range of 15-28 and this concert is most definitely for them. Let's watch and see.

Has anyone seen the "temptaions" video by P-Square? I watched it this morning and could not stop screaming with delight! The video is sooooo explosive. Has anyone seen the video and how would you rate it on a scale of 1-10?

Christianity EtcRe: Why Pastors Children Often Embrace Cultism, Prostitution, Etc? by snazzydawn(f): 6:44pm On Oct 01, 2006
I think the parents(pastors) should not restrict the kids too much. They should stpplacing too many "don'ts" and allow the kids to live their lives. All they should do is show them the good and bad, then the kids will chose the way to go,even God did same to us. They should also live exemplary lives so the kids will copy them.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Pastors Children Often Embrace Cultism, Prostitution, Etc? by snazzydawn(f): 6:36pm On Oct 01, 2006
@ GL,it is very true all you have said. When we were young,my folks were always like don't do this, don't do that and you know it is in human nature to do the things that they say "don't do", and you even go deeper when you see there is no immediate consequence.Thing is our parents overblew somethings out of proportion and when we found out that most of these things are not "bad" like applying makeup and stuff like that,we now used it ,some of us tend to overdo it sef.Annoying thing is people expect too much from me and at times, it weighs me down when I do not live to expectation and people raise eyebrows. If you are not careful, you could end up being a pretender so that "they will not talk". For me,I have long drawn the line to where people should expect from me, I do not pretend top be good, I am not "bad" either. I am serving God in my own way and being myself and so far,I think I have tried.

Beyonce is hot, though not hotter than Jlo. By the way, what's with her new look? She wore that look in Deja vu and Ring the alarm. She looks like a ragdoll.

CelebritiesRe: Is Ring The Alarm The Best Song Ever? by snazzydawn(f): 10:09pm On Sep 30, 2006
I agree it is very gangsterish but I do not see any cpying there. It was so not Jlo like.
