I might be wrong but I think its just expected that the passport you present for IOM is same you will be applying on. The issue would be when you present two different passports in one process.
On the other hand, I imagine you can contact IOM to include the new passport number in the certificate issued for him - I know in time past, they make notes at the back of the certificate with signature and stamp.
These are admin stuffs so explore as much options - nothing is impossible.

Well said boss.
But I'm not a rep for any of the schools. its just many years of dealing with these kind of issues and a little bit of understanding of how these things work with HO and sponsors.

Glink2018:
I suspect you as one of the Teesside University representatives ....bro, we appreciate what the school has been doing but we need them to do more...
I read someone's post, saying, he has been waiting for his CAS for more than 6 weeks....abba!
We are using this medium to express our appreciation and also advise the school to do more for all the applicants who have pending CAS issue...

I cum. in piss...

I lived in Sheffield. Its an AMAZING multi-cultural city. Personally I think its one of the few multicultural cities that still very much has the traditional British life.
Manchester and Leeds arent too far from you when you start looking for proper corporate office jobs. And Sheffield itself has Royal Mail facility and a lot of contact center jobs in Rotheram. Goodluck.

Aminess1:
This thread is a wonderful place to source for ideas..
all thanks to the gurus.

I’m really trying so hard to decide on which city to stay for job availability and conducive environment to bring up kids. We’re family if 4 and already gotten our visas. I’m to study at SHU (Sheffield) but classes are two times a week and online for now. I’m seriously considering staying with my family in a city where we can find good jobs and good houses to raise our little kids.

Please help. The gurus in the house. Everybody. Kindly help me .

CAS issuance is not just down to the Uni, its HO document. The uni only apply for it on your behalf and its not free either. It also depends on how quickly HO responds to them. Teeside is very popular among tier 4, so i can understand if they say they have an unprecedented number. There are also metrics off the back of these documents ie how many CAS issued was succesfully granted a visa, how many was used within the stated time..so when you consider all of those factors, you can understand why some schools issue CAS rather quickly and some may be taking some time. Same reason why some schools ask for POF and do interviews while some dont..

okehsmiley:
This Teesside matter tire me..is it that they are not issuing CAS at all? This experience ehn! I will never advice anyone to apply to that school.

I have sent countless emails yet no response.. all I get is that they have an unprecedented amount of applications this year. Like other schools don't have high application volumes?

At this point, I don't know what else to do.

Have you tried contact UKVI to re-issue the letter?
There's always a reference number to these letters so give them your details and see how they can help. But surely the letter can be reprinted.

Lizzyboss83:
Great Minds here, I have been following this trend as a guest for some days now. I got an unconditional offer at Ulster university, made 50% payment, sent my TB cert but at the point of issuing my CAS, i was asked to send copies of my UK and US refusal letters, I have for US but my UK had been thrashed since i never knew it would be requested for at anypoint in my life.

I sent that of US but I was told to present that of UK even though I told them during CAS interview that I thrashed it long ago. Now I got a mail that CAS will not be issued without that.

Please I need assistance on how to get out of this quagmire. I need help right now. @justwise, Lagosismyhome and other great minds please help

Lets be clear.
1. Failing a module does not automatically mean you're disqualified out on PSW.
2. Getting pregnant and having a baby during your course does not also mean you'll automatically fail some modules. Its just whats call an 'unhappy path' and obviously different schools will have different policies to deal with the issue.

However, the HO guidance for issuance of PSW is:
1. Have a valid student visa at the time o application
2. Apply from within the UK.

I'm sure we all know people who have had babies on student visas while studying without any issue and with excellent help from the school and community. but ofcourse, there's always that one or two unpleasant cases..

Apologies if I've over flogged the issue.

Poanan:
Hmm better dont plan to fail any module. From what I saw happened on facebook, this guy had a resit and because of that, he couldn't do his research or rather he was not allowed to do his research at the time.

Now he is ready for his research but he has few months left. There is no way he can complete that research within the stipulated time. He asked for visa extension but the school turned it down saying he can do his research from his home country. Meanwhile psw issupposed to be processed before the student visa expires while still in the uk.

Obviously, once he goes back to his home country he wont get psw again.

Thanks! Explored this option, no luck. Got the council involved, no luck. The plan is to move out but while that is in the pipeline, I need to fix the issue.

justwise:
If you are renting then call the landlord to deal with it because that has to do with the condition of the house. You can withheld your rent if he refuses to sort it out

Well, its possible but is it practical?

Reason is, the timeline is rather too tight. If you're due in Jan and you want to start a masters program in Jan.

Duty of care from the health people, they wont want to be put in that situation
Secondly, it just comes out as having to just want to exploit the services - theres nothing bad in that because youre technically paying IHS but if an over zealous CW picks it, they can make an issue out of nothing..

Other things to consider,
1. What support will you have after delivery (Financial and human)?
2. Hope you don't plan to work at least in the first 3 months after delivery??
3. Your school will actually excuse you (for some weeks or months) from school work if they know you've just had a baby, I'm not sure if this is mandatory.

Like i said earlier, you need to consider the practicality of what you want.

Mamabigboy:
Good morning house. I hope we are doing great.

@justwise and other gurus in the house, I need you to attend to this for me, please. I asked the question a few days ago, but I couldn't get the answer, hence my bringing it up again.

I am about to submit my application for Jan 2022 session to Salford University, however, I am in a dilemma whether to go ahead or not. The reason is that I am currently pregnant and will be due in January 2022. My concerns are:
1. Do I stand a chance of having my visa approved before November (all things being equal) to enable me to travel before I reach 36 weeks as most airlines don't allow pregnant mothers beyond 36/37weeks to board?
2. Being a new mum and attending schools, how does this work out for whoever has gone through this path before?

Please, ejoor o, kindly answer my naive question this time around.

God bless you

justwise:
Again this is incorrect

In other words,

1. Funds must have been in your account for AT LEAST 28 days.. ie Funds can be in your account for 28 days till infinity (they dont care). >28<infinity

2. You can only use that statement within 31 days of
2a: Closing Balance showing the funds held
2b: Statement print out.

Babababy:
It’s atleast 28 days.
