Of the 40 goals, 10 were penalties, 11 were scored in dead rubber matches, i.e, when Barca had already won the league. . . freaking overrated player
spot on; as i mentioned in an earlier post, its a great feat for ronaldo, but people have to see it in a broader context.

seem you have been away from Africa's most populous nation for a while.
not really. i appreciate all the difficulties that follow life in Nigeria, personally i believe Nigeria remains the best place to live provided you have the means ie, nice house in good location, and other goodies to go with it. you don't have to keep looking over your shoulders as would happen in most politically correct and xenophobic western nations. its easier to start and run a business if you are so inclined. i know people may disagree but hey that's just my opinion.

East or west as they say, home is the best. I see family ties is very important to you, and as you have lived most of your life in Nigeria, most of your friends presumably are there as well. Your may also have your girlfriend in naija as well which is a point you glossed over wink.
In that case go with your heart; Nothing wrong in being based in Nigeria, afterall its only 4 months in a year, and its in Lagos, not some obscure village somewhere.
People should realize that not everyone comes from a poor background; so poster may well not have close persons nagging him for money.
CrimeEdo Lawmaker In Trouble For Impregnating 15 Year Old Girl by snowdrops(op): 7:34am On May 22, 2011
A re-eleted lawmaker in the Edo state House of Assembly representing Akoko Edo constituency, Hon. Kabiru Adjoto has taken to his heels after he allegedly impregnated a 15 year-old girl said to be the younger sister to his wife.

Ozi, the victim of the legislator’s uncontrolled libido hails from Lampese in Akoko Edo Local Government Council of the state. Street Journal gathered that she is a student in a junior secondary school in the local government. Sources disclosed to Street Journal that the Honourable has been having carnal knowledge of the young girl for some time now. The source went further that Adjoto had impregnated the girl twice before the latest incident. This however became public knowledge because this time, Ozy refused to abort.

Street Journal’s investigations also revealed that the Honourable had earlier allegedly impregnated one Iyabo, said to be an elder sister to Ozi. Street Journal however gathered that the girl got thrown out of the lawmaker’s legislative quarters in Benin City for threatening to blow her secret affair with the Honourable open. Street Journal gathered that though Ozi was resident in Okene, Kogi State with the lawmaker’s wife, she often travelled to Benin to see the lawmaker without the knowledge of her sister.

Sources disclosed to Street Journal that when persuasions that the victim should go for an abortion became too much, she ran away from the village where she moved to and she has not been seen since.

Watchers of proceedings in the Edo State. House of Assembly, especially those in the know of Hon. Adjoto’s insatiable appetite for sex revealed that not he stopped attending House proceedings not long after the news of the scandal broke. Efforts to get him to speak on the issue have proved futile.

i hope mourinho goes to man city coming season. would spice up the premiership, and with other clubs vying for the top four, arsenal may well end 5th and below. maybe then the directors in arsenal would finally get the message and give AW the boot.

his team mates contributed a lot in achieving this feat. they wanted him to break that record and made sure he had the ball in scoring positions.

Good on him though.

but messi remains the king. he has been resting for the champs league final, if not we all know what he would have been capable of.

I am new on nairaland and this will be my first post smiley.Little about myself; i am a Nigerian,21 years old and presently undergoing a training in UK and in few months time,i will fully qualify as a Deck Officer.I have already secured an employment with a shipping company where am supposed to be doing 4 months on sea and 2 months off rotation.Salary is about 31,800 Pounds which translates to 2650 Pounds monthly (tax free).

I can live anywhere  i want in the world since i will be flying out to and from  my ship before and after sailing, all cost will be taken care off by my company.

I am thinking of moving back to Lagos where my salary will go far smiley,662K/month in Lagos isnt that bad smiley, moreover,i only have to stay home  4 months in a year as i will be on sea most of the time, Do you think this is a good idea?

Most of my British classmates are planning to move to places like Barbados,Thailand, malta because of the high cost of living in UK and i am beginning to consider those places too.

If you were me,where would you chose to live?i have both Nigerian and British passport.
Perhaps to answer your question more constructively why dont you tell us more about your self; eg, where you were born/grew up, where most of your immediate family reside, etc ie more info on background. Also what and who would you want to become in the future? That should help you in deciding where to live.

It's so amusing reading responses on NL whenever someone seeks advice on their personal affairs. People become so emotional; swear; use sarcasm; and attack each other even the original poster.
End of day, poster becomes confused much more than they were ab initio.
NL is no place to ask for advice on your marital life. Remember this is a global Market place with all sorts of persons and characters, the good bad and ugly. Some have far lower IQ than you or are less experienced in the subject matter. Some go around different threads posting when they should not just to add to their post counts. Some are mischievous and deliberately give the wrong counsel in other to make your life a misery or deny you of that which they lack but long to have.
If I were you poster I would avoid reading any of the comments here. You need to tackle your issues in the real world not cyber space; speak with real people, their faces which are identifiable.

been away a couple of hours and cant believe this debate of trophy /vs/ profit is still dragging on. The answer is as clear as day and night, black and white, ashawo and housewife.

may the real football fans walk away and let the delusional ones keep arguing.

Not to sound like a broken record, i re interate that i would rather be premier league champs than earn £1million silly profit.

You are the joker of the century. What are you smoking. You must either be too ignorant or too arrogant to know when to give up a non-argument.
So you think Arsene brought all those players to arsenal.  grin grin grin grin

Thank goodness you are already learning. At least i educated you today that Arsenal has a new owner because previously you thought they are being run solely by the board.

Una no go kill person for NL.
