Why did u not accuse christians of complicity when all those arrested while attacking churches are christians? Those things are not as straight forward as you think.

Is Boko Haram now a Christian sect?

In just the 1400 years of its existence Islam has slaughtered 270,000,000 million humans. That is more than the total of all people killed in all non-Muslim wars and conflicts throughout all history. Only malaria has mass-killed more humans than Islam.

The killings could not have continued without the complicity of Muslims in government and the security agencies.

How sad. Yet another group of families left to mourn.

buzugee: arent you guys a lil trigger happy ? hundreds of planes fly everyday in nigeria and have been for over 30 years. lets do the math based on a 30 year period. that comes to about 1 million plus flights. out of 1 million plus flights, you get 2 crashes and all of a sudden naija planes are crap ? . dont get me wrong now, those are 2 accidents too many but still, PERSPECTIVE. and rest in peace to the people who passed. they are Definitely at rest ECCLESIASTES 12 VS 7

There have been more than 2 crashes in 30 yrs FYI.

Besides it is '2' crashes too many

Fact the threads are generated by registered users but it is the responsibility of the owner/moderators to determine what makes front page and police the forum.
Travel / Re: DANA Air-should Entire Fleet Be Grounded Pending Preliminary Investigation? by snowdrops(m): 12:29pm On Jun 04, 2012
On a wider note air travel patronage is going to be severely cut down following this tragedy. So many people would take to the roads at least for the first few weeks. People want to see the government/regulators take decisive actions to reduce the chance of a repeat crash.

The real tragedy is the dire nature of public services. No viable alternative to air travel. Where are the roads, trains, intra/ inter city water transit?

Noted.
But get it right, i aint a barca fan, am a MADRIDsta for life, i am also celebrating the end of an era just like you,but truth be told, barca has been the nemesis of even the best teams in the past 3-4 seasons (including man-u), so let's learn to appreciate good things. Six trophies in first season as a top flight coach, meaning he won all the competitions he went in for, bros no be moi-moi!

I take on board your point, however, the so called feat by Pep could have been achieved by just anybody else. I still believe he came in at the right time, the talents were already there, it does not take a rcoket scientist to make them blend and play. Any Wenger, RDM, AVP, even Alex Mcleish could have done same.

I repeat, Pep needs to prove his worth by achieving same in another club, another league. Thats what make JM stands out. Four different countries, he has continued to score resounding success, whether on low or high budget; working with players that had less than half the talent of the boys from nou camp.

kutchs: @Snowdrops, I dont know what u mean by already made team. The so called already made team you referred to won nothing in 06/07 and 07/08 seasons but with Pep the team won 6 trophies the next season nd has maintained that consistency ever since. His ability to rejig the team speak volumes

Even in the seasons you referred to they were top of la liga for much of it. It was bickering that killed their title dreams. Remember they won la liga, champions league, supa cup, etc just before that. And yes, they were already made; the main guys in Peps team were Rijkaards signing

@Canisma, Both of you are actually right. Chelsea actually sacked him and now He can go learn how not to play tiki-taka for 4 years and try nothing else.

He kept playing the same silly pass-pass , go diagonal return pass to middle, try to breakthrough opposition's middle for 90minutes and if the opposition is weak you score loads of goals. If they are tough you draw or lose. Now the formula has been "Hacked" no hiding place for Pep. He knows it and it's a smart move He is walking away.

The 2nd thing I noticed about Pep is that of all the Spanish teams that plays His style He is the only one with a weak goalie.Atletico Madrid have a good goalie can defend for well over 30minutes consistently and use the flanks. That team is a team to watch next season.

Bilbao....they are just sweet... but He had the edge and should have incoporated a few moves into His brand quickly and by now He'd probably be staying back to perfect it.

Let's see where He shows up. May be in South America but i doubt He'd be able to cope with the pressure of the EPL.

Lets hope he does not end up coaching Saudi Arabia as his predesessor Frank Rijkaard is at present. By the way is their a vacancy to coach Super eagles? Just head that someone from Catalona is now unemployed.

teskyg: I congratulate him for accepting defeat early enough before they wipe off his accievement. He has already envisage this and made mention of it in his press release.I am glad that Chelsea and Mourinho infilcted injury on him before he left.Sometime when I go to the viewing centers to watch football,Barcelona fans always commented that Mourinho will run out of Spain.Pep ran first.Am sure he saw the handwriting on the wall.Messi is declining and a near replacement is not available. The likes of Tello and co will run barca to Spanish division two.I won't applaud him for winning any troupy during his reigb cos they were all won under questionable circumstances.I can only respects the likes of Mourinho who sweat it out to get troupies.

Brother i can see you are in the spirit. Amen to your comment

Gone are the days when someone should get worked up over football, its only a game. You win some and lose some. Now that we are witnessing the last days of the so called best football club the world has ever seen, lets all stand up and applaud the new kids on the block, aka real, maybe bayern.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Pep Out At Last by snowdrops(m): 5:08pm On Apr 27, 2012
I wish he had remained as coach. That way he can endure the trashing from the likes of real, bilbao, valencia, and of course chelsea come next season. Now Tito has to suffer what rightly should have been Peps.

On the flip side, we may well see an exodus of players from barca as their dynasty has been sent crumbling, aka, xavi, busuets, etc.

He remains arguably the best coach the game of football has had in the last couple of years!

I would recognize him as the best coach the world has ever seen if he goes to porto or inter and win the champions league. ok.

Not when he goes into an already made club that was winning titles and then carries on where his predesessor left; you guys should get a reality check. You speak with too much emotions. Stop your barca, pep, messi, etc worshipping.

Even in the face of irrefutable evidence, you are still twisting and turning.
PDP go fit you, in short. tongue

Common man, which evidence? The only evidence i see is that within the last one week barca has had their season crushed in two fantastic matches one of which is the greatest display of football europe has ever seen.
Pep left his post shortly after months of speculation, during which everyone was expecting him to sign a new contract.
I bet you had he won the classico and went within a point of real and knocked chelsea out of the ucl, he would still be in the helm at barca and that young man is a FACT.

Do u people read at all? when he lost to Inter, getafe, rubin kazan, levante, why didn't he run away because he couldn't handle defeat? do you people even think at all?

The article said he had already discussed with the club president and the chairman around october 2011, so PLEASE TELL ME, HOW DID CHELSEA SACK HIM?

make una use una brain when needed chai..

SOME HAVE HEAD BUT HAVE NO BRAIN

SOME HAVE BRAIN BUT CAN'T USE THEM.

DO YOU HAVE A BRAIN AND CAN YOU USE IT?

IF NOT, PLS GO IN FOR SURGERY.

AMEN! angry grin grin cheesy

And you believe the crap that he made up his mind to resign in october. Man are you that gullible or stubborn to admit the truth. Fact they have lost matches this season and he failed to quit as he had done, but thos matches were:

1. Not title/season deciders
2. They did not leave those matches with their pants hanging down, and their aura of invincibility removed as real and chelsea had done
3. the world now knows that barca is a one dimensional team; they are unadaptable. stop messi and stop barca.

FACT; guardiola resigned because of the consecutive defeats to real and chelsea. Pep most have seen another humiliation ahead with the copa del rey.

Remember this post, where you claimed to have repented of your transgressions against the Great Club?
https://www.nairaland.com/667987/barcelona-vs-man-utd-preview#8357960
You were copiously begging for forgiveness back then. Two defeats have now made you doubt, and you went back to your sin. Tragic.

We of Barca also withdraw our indulgences offered you at that time. You will surely roast in Footie Hell, anytime your football team meets the Angels from Camp Nou soon. grin

I can see you have teamed up with your friend on all out attack. No worries, i have handled your types times without number; pity is people hide behing their computer screen to lunch such nonetities on the web.

For your information the only one thing that is constant in life is change. We all hold certain opinion at one time or the other, or come out with statements which upon reflection or with time we come to realize that we may have been wrong.

Back to the topic, the brand of football i admire in barcelona is the brand played under frank rijkaard. Then it was free flowing, all out attack. No gimmicks, no diving [ aka alves, busquets, fabregas, sanchez] , no tormenting the referee at the slightest infringement [aka the king of all moaners xavi]. I loved watching them play week in week out. I longed to see deco, ronaldinho, eto, breeze past players easily, playing with smiles on their faces.

I remember a match when ronaldinho scored a hatrick against real at the barnebau [forgive wrong speling] and the fans stood up appluading him. Roll back some years to the bobby robson and cruff days, and need i say more.

You children that started watching football yesterday, i shake my head in pity sometimes.

Finally, i cannot believe in all my life that you spent hours digging up that SH$%*T. Man you get time oh lol. No babe, abi no work lol

And what a coincidence the moment came after being knocked out by the blues, in their own backyard, with 10 men, playing against 11 bacra players + referee + noisy crowd and with 2 goals down.

Pep clearly takes defeat badly; and thats the definition of a coward.
