Idboyostic: bro, if u should recall....I asked u w@ will be the solution for those with improper shading.....u replied by saying I should prepare for the 2nd round of post utme

So I took to u r advise and asked my younger ones to start preparing themselves for the 2nd round of post utme....I checked lasu site this morning and to my surprise I saw that the supplementary list has been released and so also the information for 2nd round of post utme....checked the 2nd round info 1st because have already zero my mind about having their names on any list due to improper shading issue, after reading the info I downloaded the supplementary list to see the name of those admitted and compare them with their scores so that I can tell them what they should be aiming for.....it was while I was checking this that I saw the name of one of them on the list despite the "improper shading" issue.

Note: we dint go to lasu for any solution and neither do we know any staff....The name was just found among the supplementary list.....Just GOD

With this said and done, I have a question to ask....
Should we apply for the 2nd round of post utme for the other one or wait maybe the name will automatically be listed in some other list?

in this first list released, medicine/phisiology/dentistry are abt a 100 alreadi and does ar d pple dat even chose them in jamb, nw d rest wud cum frm dose dat didnt choose lasu. The point i was tryin to mak there is jux dat lasu might still admit pple 4 medicine/phisiology/dentistry in d nxt admissn list cumin soon because, i guess d pple dat were admitted in d 1st list, were those whu chose them in jamb, a list 4 dose whu didnt choose lasu wud b out but jux a few wud mak it there.

they wud admit more than 100 or even 200 4 medicine/dentistry/phisiology but u jux hav 2 be patient, but if u chose lasu in jamb and ur name wasnt on d list, then 4get medicine, cos in d next (2nd round) putme dat wud be conducted there wudnt b space 4 medicine and surgery anymore.

For those that didnt pick lasu, and scored up to 50%, jux wait 4 d second batch merit admiss.. list, if u took lasu as 1st choice (in jamb) and u didnt mak dis 1st list, go and prepare 4 d 2nd round putme.

D 2nd batch shud b out nxt wk,nd if u didnt score up to 50% go nd prepare for d 2nd round putme

ur chance will be based on wat others scored, jux compare ur score with ordas in ur putme result list and, u wud knw ur fate, and since u chose dem as 1st choice its an edge.

well my opinion 2 dis, with d performance of candidates in dis 1st putme i.e pple didnt score dat high marks, i tink esp. 4 medicine mark are most considered first esp in lasu's Merit list, it does comprise of catchment, indegine and other states (this was b4 when d fees was still #25k) but wen d fees was hike, tinx changed (the first list i.e merit list, is based on ur performace i.e Mark) but u knw, nw dat tinx have changed i.e d fees is nw #25k xo, i dnt knw wat lasu might do exactly dis yr. But whether or nt indegine or no indegine, if u scored well like 60+ and u chose lasu 4 medicine (first choice/in jamb) then sure if lasu was to realease a merit list b4 d second round putme, ur name will surely be there inrespective if u come from lagos or the south west or not. shey those dat didnt pick lasu rite. Wel ur frnd has a gud score of 61. Normally lasu doesnt, infact can't admit u into medicine, if u dnt pick them at all, but d sch fees hike of a tin cosd it lyk last yr if u had such a score lasu wud admit u, cos it was if u cud pay d fees them cum 2 lasu, it wasnt based on merit.

But nw u knw d fees is nw #25k and so many pple applied 4 d first round putme i.e pple dat didnt choose lasu nd going 4 medicine. I tink does dat didnt pick lasu performed higher than those whu picked them, butthe tin is dat candidates whu picked lasu wud b considered first b4 any other 1. Which wud den be based on ur score. 61 is a good score though. Let him wait and see if lasu realease an admissn list first, if they do and his name doesnt appear, then i advice he takes d 2nd round putme, but shuldnt take medicine, he shud pick dentistry or physiology. But if dey dont release admissn list first but conduct a 2nd round, then he cud pick medicine and try 2 score higher than 61. to be considered, cos let me tell u dat d 2nd round putme wudnt reali b based on if u pickd lasu or not ,or mayb ur state of origin, but ur score is paramount.

Olalan: Pls how did you guys calculate your scores; because I do not understand how to calculate mine

this is hw lasu calculates its,

d first score u see is ur jamb score i.e if u scored 200 in jamb that wud b 200/8 = 25%.

d second score is ur putme score i.e wat u got in d putme/2 => if u got 70/100 => 70/2 = 35%

the the last 1 is ur aggregrate score, wich wud be ur jamb + putme i.e 25% + 35% = 60%. So it wud mean u got 60, in d putme.

yes u can, but nt sure if u wud b able 2 apply 4 medicine in d 2nd batch, cos it mayb filled up alreadi. The subject combination 4 putme z maths,eng,chem,phys nd biology. 50 questions 10 each.
