When I saw this, I thought someone had useful information. This is not what I asked for. That my interview comes up next week does not mean everybody will be invited for the interview the same day. Most advertised interviews are held in batches. That's why I said guess. I only know my dates. I wouldn't know whether some will do before or after me.

Oiltest Group advertised some vacancies in the Guardian some weeks back and I guess interviews have commenced. My interview comes up next week. I have read some interesting things about the company on their site but will appreciate any useful information about the company, interview format, welfare, etc.

After you registered online, once u click submit/finish the forms will authomatically be sent 2 u in PDF then u download and print. Afterwards, u follow the instruction on the forms and get them filled/ready to be submitted on the exam day 11th july.

Thats why you have a LGA certificate for him to verify with. As for criminal records, who is more likely to know your criminal record? the DPO in your LGA where u rarely visit, or the DPO in your place of residence?

criminal records are always being sent down 2 ur LG of origin 4 documentation because crimes can be commited outside d LG of ur residence.

Abeg you all should relax......my friend sent navy a mail concerning this DPO signing thing and the reply was, any DPO can sign for you!!!! Let us be reasonable.....y go to your LG to sign it, does it mean there is no possibility you can commit crime in another state or is it only in ur state of origin you can commit crime

If u commit a crime in another state for instance they will forward a report to d DPO in ur LG of origin.

listen ooo, On the day of the exam, you are 2 come with the 7 forms completely filed, photocopies of ur credential including NYSC cert and a valid means of ID.

False o, divisional police officer simply means the divisional police officer within your residential address, it doesnt have to be from your state or LGA. if however you feel the need to travel to your village to see the DPO there...safe journey!

How will the DPO in your LG of residence kw ur LG of origin Take 4 instance, sb frm mbaise LG in Imo state that stays in 'ABU' LG in lagos state; How can the DPO in 'ABU' LG in lagos assertain ur LG of origin and sign tht u dnt hv any criminal record?? Thats my humble question sir.

Who says you have to go to your state to sign your LGA form, What happened to the laison office where you are or senior military officer from your state of origin. And who says the DPO has to be from your state Please read the form carefully before misleading people. Signing of these forms is a very simple process, dont make it harder than it is.

Thanks. As for me, 4 days is too short to sign d forms. They wil publish d names on d 6th, frm 7th-10th is the only days u hv to sign d forms. What if ur uncle that ought 2 sign ur guarantor form traveled? Wht if ur LG is on strike? What if their was a delay and the shortlisted names was not published on the 6th? What is the DPO of ur LG is not arnd within the 4 days? These are the questions u need 2 ask urself. On the other hand, What if after traveling to ur state, get d forms filed without been shortlisted? The money u spent becomes a waste.
In summary, my humble advice is this:
1) Ensure dat u r qualified b4 u apply.
2) Once u hv downloaded d forms go ahead n fill it.
3) If u r qualified thr is no way u wont be shortlisted.
4) Finally pray to God almighty.

Hi fellas, l jst got wind of ds naval dssc. I checked out d qualification requirements and found out dt dr is no specific for MBBS holders. Pls l will like to knw if a MBBS holder can apply and b shortlisted. ( An answer based on experience will b highly appreciated)

yes, it is called short service for that very reason. Every service gives you a time frame within which you would need to convert & continue service otherwise you retire. Like for NA DSSC one can attempt conversion yearly after 3 years of active duty & if you fail to do so by the 9th year you cant anymore. Im sure with time & further research you would get to know how it is with the NN, although it might be the same going by the way the HTACOS is structured.

Although i hvn't heard anything like 10years short service, but if it happens 2 exist, there shld also be a 'Long service' as well. Meanwhile whats the nature of their training fr short service and Does the conversion 2 long service requires more training? Thts my humble questn.
