As an ex-banker, d fact is dat workin in d bank has its pros and cons. I wouldn't discourage any1 frm goin in but once u in, have a realistic business plan on d side wch u shld hope to grow and max, exit d bank say within 3 to 5 yrs time. Curtail ur expenses wen u in dia, don't go buyin 50k suits nd all dat bs! Save up, invest in ur biz, network wella wit dos ur clients and wen ur biz is doin absolutely well, omo bail frm dat industry especially if u knw u aint gat da passion 4 it...nuff said!

Vineville is a day n boarding school.. D pay depends on negotiation .u can negotiate above 50k tho but I doubt they wud go higher dan 55k. In the interview ,u wud b given english wassce questions to answer and and essay on something related to the post u applied for.

For all you ITKs, NNPC Retail is a subsidiary. You want to do an interview wit nnpc and u couldnt even be bothered to check their website.

also, they are not gonna take 10 from each state. and you can be rest assured that internal fingering will occur. I know this because I also passed through the process. and b4 anyone starts sayin rubbish, i'm working there.

I heard if Gudluck losses this election, the NNPC recruitment will b cancelled. Dats why PCL/NNPC stop d interview based on d logistics word..meaning after election outcomes.If buhari wins, dis recruitment will b cancelled and another fresh one conducted..

Lies from the pit of hell. In the last recruitment exercise, some states had only one candidate taken, others have none at all. State like kogi have six candidates picked, while plateau had only one. Go and prepare for your interview and stop discouraging yourself with this quota system. Quota system is not base on state, it's base on the six geographical region. In other word every region must be represented, not every states.

please how sure is this your information? This is exactly what is meant by quota system, all regions must be represented and not all states. What am saying in essence is that you are right but i need more pple to confirm this and stop the issue of "chosed" which has torn the house apart and has taken away the important things that has to be discussed.

You should prepare very hard to be the best in your state if you want to join NNPC. You've reached the stage where people are taken based on the quota for their state. Its now a race between you and other candidates from your state, so if it is 2 candidates per state, try to be amongst the 2. It's been like that for decades cos that's the only way some states won't feel marginalized. If you are from places like the north east, you stand a better chance. I would say you should pray for favour as well because just one person on that panel can be the difference between you getting the job and you coming back for information on this thread next year. I wish you the best.

alright i understand, but do you think the quota/zoning system will be used while inviting people for the interview, as in, 20 pple per each state as the case may be. After which they recruit 5 per each state? Secondly, dnt u think it might be by region. Take 4 example, 100 persons per region?

My opnion: The technical skill you have should count', ability to grasp, learn fast and team spirit are what they will look out for.... But do not forget , quota system and zoning play their own part too

i dnt really believe in that zoning/quota system because there is no way they cn employ sb dat is nt qualified leaving-out the qualified one's in the name of quota system or wat hv u.

Sorry for a late response. I would say you can fit into most of their subsidiaries. However, your best fit is most likely one of the refineries. I'm sure you are aware of the upgrades been carried out by our engineers on some of the refineries and it is still ongoing and I'm sure they need quite a number of engineers in that area. That been said, I don't know what you applies for but if it was GT, u need not bother yourself on that. They will post u themselves and also train you. Except you already have a specialised training, that's only when you can think of making choices.... just like an ET.
