This is my first major topic on this group. Just to share one or two thoughts on design. These days, I hadly play with colours, cos I don't wanna mess up with my design, I just maintain 1 or maximum two colours in my design. Infact of recent, I have stop cropping pictures in some cases, I maintain my picture background and place my text scantily.

I don't know if this is good for the business.

Thoughts?

In 2007 we were admitted into the department of Science Laboratory Technology, UNIJOS without Jamb and we were being classified as part-time students. They had been running this course over the years and have deprived our seniors of nysc. We paid outrageous fees and still faced serious discrimination. We fought for accreditation and finally got it when we were in 300Level but the school management said the accreditation did not include us and that it was for the students who would be coming in thru jamb. Much later, the policy of Jamb regularization came up and we paid 5k each and we were regularized and got our Jamb numbers. Finally we graduated in 2013 and the university said we are not going for youth service. After several meetings/consultations with nysc personel in Abuja we were told that we are eligible for mobilization because we had been regularized. But the university of Jos has openly refused to send our names for mobilization. After so much pressure, the registrar secretly sent our names without our jamb numbers, directing nysc to prepare EXCLUSION LETTERS for us. We received the information from NYSC and confronted him, he denied. We really don't understand why the University have decided to treat us like this.
The pro chancellor, the former VC and some other influencial people have called on the VC and registrar to mobilize us but to no avail.

On behalf of the entire 2012/2013 graduates of SLT unijos, I hereby call on the general public and the relevant authorities to come to our aid. We've stayed at home for too long and many of us have missed job opportunities simply because we have not served.

Almost same situation in UNIPORT. ISLT don't go to NYSC. You should know this before getting admitted.

Am a corper serving at Ebonyi state, am planning to start an hair styling salon as soon as I pass out! Three locations at mind which are Abj, Uyo and Ph! Please I need mature advice concerning  these three areas I mentioned on how to go about the business! The cost of living should be put into consideration, will the nature of the business boom? If yes where will I get more patronage! Power supply too, please guys help a brother! I have 200k as a starting capital, I have never been to these three places mention before! Thanks

It all depends on the location in PH. PH is experiencing expansion as the years go bye. Meaning, a village can in a matter of years transform into township. With #200k you can get a place in somewhere Iriebe close to Oyigbo just 8miles away from Eleme Junction. Where you should paying shop rent for atleast 10k/month. Your budget is too low for me to suggest you locating inside the Central Business Areas which is quite high. As someone suggested, get a place at Uyo and a branch later somewhere in the remote area of PH.

I combined with my younger brother to rent a shop which we converted to office space here in Iriebe, PH at 10k/month, he does his software development while am into media. So our business doesn't really need us expecting clients to sustain, we go out to get them or better still clients locate us. For Hair dressing business, you have to be extremely good and social to beat up competition from already established ones.

27th of April is now less than 2weeks to get the call up letter. So, keep your hope of receiving an NYSC alert mute. But, if comes before then which I doubt the possibility, then no problem.

How can people be booking space for absentees?

I just access my dashboard now without the latest hiccup of registration has closed. Just my call up number and nothing else like leta or what you think.

House, my agent just called me to choose between Oyo state and Ogun state cos is looking likely Lagos has been filled to the brim. So for the ofe manus here. Which is nearer? Cheaper to live? And closer to Lagos where I will be most like shuttling. Thanks.
