This is a good development as the cost of doing business will go down. Funds should be channeled into productive activities by individual than locking the economic resources into short term deposit. Those are the things (lies) we suffered in the hand of the PDP government for 16 years and we earned the title of the largest economy in Africa with menace of the poorest of the global poor. What we can not deny is that clear reforms are on going in all the sectors of the economy; dubious contractors are denied business and this will continue; gas supply is getting to the power plant; nnpc is now more transparent; there is no usual rush in engaging jobber policians as minister, hence party contractors are denied access to the national treasury; we witness just last week the vigour and insights the like of Fashola, and Akinyemi will bring to our policy directions; subsidy bills are going down; we a government that can see the impact of subsidy removal on the economy in the absence of palliative measures.

Nigerians can follow and meaningfully understand the direction of Buhari's government. However, Nigerians need to objectively follow his government and shun hot money economic growth that will leave the rich richer and the poor poorer.

I am convinced that we will have course to celebrate with this (government) at the end of the day.

I can only tell General Buhari that right from the time of General Obasanjo(1976) to Chief Obasanjo(2007), Yar'adua to GEJ; we Nigerians call for a probe of these governments. Any selective probe shall be seen and misconstrued as witch-hunt.

It was under Obj that the President and his Vice regaled the world with tales of "you say I am corrupt, but you are worse!" We heard of how our monies were deployed by the Presidency to procure SUVs for women, sleep with people's wives and wreck homes. It was the most bizzare thing I ever heard from people in government.

My problem with the GEJ government was legion, but one of them was the fact that he lacked the balls to probe the Obj government of impunity(and others). Halliburton is still with us. I encourage General Buhari to go ahead with this probe and let it consume General Abubakar 'the interventionist' too. Anything short of this and Buhari have started failing in my opinion.

We do not have the resources to start the probes from independence to date. Every successive government owes Nigerians the duties of fiduciary and probity.

GEJ should have taken it upon himself to check on his preceding administration. Of course he said he had an approach (by use of technology) but unfortunately it is not effective.

We as people, we need to know what we want. These probes would send the right signals to all corrupt politicians and the civil servant alike.

At this age of our great country Nigeria we need people with quality reasoning faculty to comment on public issues. The challenge of dwindling resources is a national contagion that affect almost all the federating states. Therefore, it is proactive on the part of the His Excellency in person of Buhari to arrest the issues before it gets out of hand.

However, I think the sustainable approach is for our country is to practice federal system of government in the true form of it by which the federating states are enable to explore, control and optimize the resources in the states rather than turning our Executive Governors to medium of cash disbursement from the federal down to the local government.
