Eminent2025: This man that is now being vocal was mute during Buhari's terrible Era. The politics of tribalism and religion is what made this country like this. That's good for PDP, the new faction is just like stones in PDP's rice that won't allow them enjoy their rice in peace. That party must move forward while reconciling other aggrieved members that are open to reconciliation. PDP still remains the only political party with constitutional spread in Nigeria. You think Nigeria is an ideal country? Abeg no give yourself high bp on to naija matter. BondRiv: Just imagine. No wonder Nigeria is like this. This is a gross disrespect to the President. Whoever gave that instruction must be summoned and arrested. The height of impunity.
The military has no right to do that. Undermining a civilian authority? This is how coup starts. President Tinubu should address this insubordination with urgency.
They said they were following instructions? What stupid instructions? When will they ever follow instructions to end terrorism? Nonsense. This is where you see them flexing muscle.
President Tinubu should do the needful. They must know they had no right to do that. Totally unacceptable. Those soldiers and whoever gave them that illegal instructions must be punished.
A call should have come from Aso Villa to send those soldiers out of there. This our president sef. |

You think they've not done their pros and cons before announcing publicly and interacting with the Dept of war? They do have their vested interest surely but it's a pity the Nigerian govt played into their hands. Taking sides with Hamas, refusing to deal decisively with terrorists blanketed in different names, social media has also given a true picture of what is happening in Nigeria where criminals upload videos on social media, believe me some of US citizens are also being kidnapped in Nigeria. What is happening in Nigeria is glaring to the world, intelligence agencies have the fact already, just look at the number of clergies that were kidnapped just last week alone. So, whether it is religious incited or not, our govt have shown that they are not capable of defeating or degrading this menace. correctguy101: We go give una Kaduna refinery to manage for 20years. Make una come quickly...
But I know all these na whyning. The US won't dare to enter this unless they have other agendas that'll make them take this seriously. Then we'll be done for. |

Oga abeg read well, was it the barricade that caused brake failure? The barricade was installed to prevent access to trailers plying that route and not the cause. It's appalling how Dangote truck is in the news every now and then as if it's the only user of our roads, an urgent step needs to be taken to forestall this menace. JogahBonito: Most people commenting are blaming the Dangote truck/driver but forgot to see that it was the illegal barricade placed there by residents to extort truck drivers that caused this accident.
Until we tell ourselves the bitter truth and confront illegality and criminality at all angles, Nigeria will not be free.

It is not what anybody eats that defiles a man rather what comes out of him, in as much that it is not poisonous EAT. Ceremonial and mosaic laws are quite different from moral laws just as some cultures in Nigeria forbids eating monkey and pigs and some other animals so was it also in Israel those days. Moral laws are what you see in Exodus chapter 20, which Jesus came to perfect and summarize in Matthew 7:12 and Paul in Rom. 13:8-10. You're quite right but the big question is who can challenge a Nigerian government, in saner climes, judicial institutions, law makers and enforcers would help put the government in check, but does same apply in our beloved country? WizardOfNG: Good post and utterance from a progressive and well-meaning Nigerian. Very different to the post of the nuisances above yours.
Sure that is always a worry but we have never had a decent culture of proper collection of taxes from those who can and should pay it.
I feel we should begin from that point at least and then play our part challenging Government to spend what is collected judiciously.
What we have now is condemnable i.e a situation where tax collection is lax and virtually non-existent because Government is too focused on oil income to care about other legitimate avenues of raising money to use developing Nigeria. The principle of collecting tax efficiently is sacrosanct to all serious nations of the world. |

When Nigerians cry of hardship, they tell them to endure while they spend lavishly, borrow and impoverish Nigerians the more, is there any sympathy still left in them? How do you do a 100% increase at a time when people are crying and dying from inflation and hardship generally, why not do the increase gradually. Talk about a government that is insensitive to the plight of her people, you have the chiefest of them in Nigeria, such a pity. |
