If you know Photoshop well well, you'll know this picture is edited, why is all the pictures following same pattern, na uniform all of them wear?, Same head? No doubt he "may" edge in Bornu. The Governor and Shettima factor may play out. |
So wike has been paying his 200,000 "aides" between 10,000-30,000 monthly, I had thought say na better money him dey pay them. Nawah o, how them go take spend the money with the current price of things? Now I see why a lot of people here supports this people even though they know they can't fix Nigeria. If you are one of them here, the earlier you know the money will stop after election and you'll go back to your joblessness the better for you. VOTE for improved standard of living, VOTE COMPETENCE. |
This country is very difficult to manage, I tell you. CBN gave a three month window, people refuse to deposit money, extended it still people refuse, rolled out new money, bank officials monetized it and gave it to highest bidder boycotting the massive masses. If CBN had printed lots of money and released into circulation aggressively like you said, would it have gotten to the masses too? I think majority of it would have also been courted by the elites. I just weak for Nigeria. Now people are destroying banks and they expect them to work? We come back to complain again that money is not circulating, after shutting down banks? I mean... people working in banks are human being too, since if them have been traumatized. EagleNest: |
Their are in for a futile exercise, who is to enforce Supreme court order? Governors?Them go soon tire, I pity any youth that would be allowed to be used for cause riot, then go take am do scape goat. The Governor seats in the comfort of his house or office enjoying immunity and instigating other people's children to cause anarchy. IpobAntidote: |
Ask Fayose who did Mrmb: |
Make the banks kuku close their branches, make we see who go suffer. How can you threaten or coerce them to collect money that their regulator has oedered them not to collect? |
Another one! Vote Tinubu just because you want to pepper Buhari not on his capacity and capability to make Nigeria work? And na youth you be o nothingspoil70: |
El-Rufai na sule, valid till 100 years my foot. So El Rufai is saying the old 5, 10, 50 paper notes, and old hundred naira too will remain valid for 100 years? |
Onanuga should leave Buhari alone after all, all their campaign venue have always been filled to the brim. |
You don't expect faiths in the minority to fight or be entitled to Deputy Governors in a one faith dominated State, but in an emotional like Nigeria where the Christian and Islamic faithful are "almost" equal you cannot fly a same faith ticket and expect people to embrace it. Even the Presidential candidate of APC claimed he was not in support of it, a reason why he nominated Osinbajo to be VP. Aldol: |
"Adeyeye urged the CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele, to heed advised by the Council of State on the current new naira note scarcity". May that structure of criminality of buying votes perish with you |
No security agent can burst a Governor as he enjoys immunity, neither can they burst the government house especially under Buhari's regime, if it were to be OBJ they might. So I wouldn't completely rule out an iota of truth in this news. Iamgrey5: |
Una done go court nah, make una rest attend to other issues Nigeria is facing nah, patriotic Governors my foot. |
Even if one is trying to shy away from APC's Tinubu interest in this naira redesign saga, the way the PCC and Tinubu has been taking this stuff personal has really shown the policy is hitting them hard. |
Clamp down on POS operators is not just enough, those selling it to them too should share out of whatever penalty meted on them especially Filling stations. PlayMaker14: |
In matters of national security, the President can chose to ignore courts order, just like Buhari has done in the case of Nnamdi Kanu, Dasuki. Let's see if the FG would obey this. |
Meanwhile his people down the south have been slaughtered several times while he look the other way. And you expect me to vote someone who do not care about his own just because he is Yoruba? |
All these won't work, start sealing any bank branch trying to sabotage CBN's effort and place a heavy sanction on their headquarter and see how they'll comply, all these questioning here and there won't work. Abii CBN no be regulatory body again ni... |
You were pushed out of power by the powers that be, EFCC was not able to establish any charge against you and you were discharged and acquitted. Your only sin was campaigning for them, go and sin no more. |
We all know your emilokan now appears concerned suddenly to the state of the nation, we will never fall for his eye service. Is this the first time we will have shortage of fuel in supply across the country? What has been his reaction hitherto? I bet you, if not that he isbone of the major actor in the forthcoming election he wouldn't have said pim... Wolf in sheep clothing. searchng4love: |
They only talk about what their interest, what about Fuel scarcity? You wouldn't talk to Abuja about it too because you're not affected by it. Na this scarcity of naira affect you well well |
CBN needs to put in more effort through security agencies to arrest staff of financial institutions selling the naira. As members of the public too, the official Twitter handle should be responsive and swift to videos of evidence of POS attendants trading the naira, their arrest will lead to the capture of their croonies in banking halls trading the naira. |
Well said Urchinpainer: |
Dey there dey deceive yourself, 1000, 500 and 200 new notes were people done dey sorry for party in bails, question is how did these people get them? Because they are influential? Or have their cronies in banks? What is the fate of you and I today have people in banks? Urchinpainer: |
To forestall cases like this the ATM machine should have been configured to switch off automatically. Everybody go rest. |
But they have POS agents Parachoko: |
Copying policies of developed nations has been one of our problems, solution to our problems should be tailor made, Nigerians are not as patriotic as those guys you want us to copy. They don't buy votes, neither do they stack cash at home like our politicians do here, their mental framework is far different from ours, our how do you explain someone preferring cash to rather rotten than give to the less privileged? Those guys fund foundations to give to the less privileged without expecting votes in return, ours stock palliatives and other privileges meant for millions of people at home while the supposed beneficiaries cry and die of hunger? Until we customise policies in Nigeria to frustrate these circumventers, we wouldn't progress because there a lot of devil incarnate in power whose aim is to kill, steal and destroy not minding whose ox is gored. I can't agree less. MatrixCircle: |

You're right, there is a video making the rounds of an individual who was spraying with bails of 500 naira new note, my calculation from the clip I got amounted to 500,000 (10 bails of 500 naira), I'm sure he would have more of it for him to gift a scarce currency of such, the CBN has to go tough and harsh on commercial banks who defy loading ATMS only with the new currency as directed by the CBN Governor and not pay over the counter. Deposit only should be done over the counter and even if new notes will be given over the counter, the withdrawal limit should be strictly adhered to. The guy's account should be traced, the bank and the official who issued him sick large amount of money should be severely dealt with. Bahamas95: |
Postponed or not, I don't expect the new naira note to be everywhere as was the old one, the idea of the whole currency redesign is to reduce money in circulation and push transactions online. |
If you've been a student of and scholar in life, you should have known that school grade does not translate to being successful or an achiever in life. That guy that finished with first class or had A1 parallel in your class, is he/she the most successful in your class? TheChameleon: |
