Justice Mahmud Mohammed due for retirement by November 10, to handover to The next in rank to Onnoghen Hon. Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad from Bauchi State. a Northern Muslim as acting CJN .

Justices Onnoghen who is the second in rank and has been nominated by the Federal Judical Service commission (FJSC) as successor to the outgoing Chief Justice of Nigeria just last week

Most likely the hawks were taken unawares by the FJSC nomination and decided to strike before the national judical council (NJC) makes the final Nomination

Whether Buhari will be allowed to destroy what is left of Nigeria will be known in the next few days
