My department was given an important assignment in my workplace. My direct boss didn't know a jack about the assignment, he asked me to carry out the assignment. I realised the importance of the assignment while going through the template given to us, I put in my best, did a lot of research, spent my personal money on browsing, fueling my car, moving from place to place etc. Some Junior guys in the office also worked assiduously with me. After two weeks, we completed the assignment and wrote a beautiful report to my boss. He read through it and submitted it to our chief executive. After this, praises started rolling in from management to my boss, I heard many of our ogas telling him they're proud of him because of the job well done and the beautiful report. He didn't offer a single word of appreciation to me or the guys that assisted me. Last month, he was sponsored to Germany to present the project on behalf of my office. He even went with his woman friend who is a secretary in our department. He returned by May 1, not a word of appreciation came to me and my guys who did the job. He convened a departmental meeting today which we all attended, not a word of appreciation to anyone, he only admonished us to work harder since our department is now the new bride of the entire office. One of the guys who worked with me told him all we went through to get that job done, asking that at least our expenses be reimbursed to us, he claimed the job didn't yield money and that it's to the glory of out department and our workplace. He promised to present his request for reimbursement to our CEO. I'm greatly displeased with this attitude, I wanted to meet him gently in his office to discuss issues but I'm being careful not to raise my voice against him because of his tendency to talk down on his juniors, I don't really know what to do.
How are you sure your boss don't know anything about the project? He must have chosen his secretary so that she can help him handle simple Secretarial jobs now, did you find out whether your boss actually put finishing touches to the job after you've done your bit? How can he present a work he knew nothing about? From your write up here, it can be seen that you have beef with your boss, that's the way I see it. |
Oloripelebe:Ohhhh, are you referring to these ones?

Keneking:I love your calculation. Now juxtapose this with Pa Buhari and APC having 75% - Lagos 75% - Ogun 75% - Osun 75% - Oyo 75% - Ondo 20% - Ekiti 70% - Northwest 60% - Northeast (If Atiku is fielded by PDP) 60% - Northcentral 25% - Southsouth and 5% - Southeast. and tell me what becomes of your great party. My brother, PDP died in 2015, only remembrance service was held @ Eagle Square last Saturday.

Telling his wife may have devastating effects but I also think its the best thing to do otherwise that LovePeddler will continue to extort him anytime she's broke. |

This man died in my workplace one month ago. He has been having health challenges for some time and because of this, he has been having running battle with his wife for more than 5 years before his untimely death. The woman has allegedly been involved in extramarital affairs and would leave home for up to a whole week sometimes, leaving the medically challenged husband to be the one taking care of their 3 children. The man has about N2.5Million as his net contribution as at the day of his death in our cooperative society, N1.5M in his housing contribution scheme and more than N8million in contributory pension. One week after the man's death, his wife stormed our office with a letter from a lawyer, asking that all issues relating to her late husband's money in cooperative, housing and pension be resolved in her favour since under the law, she is the authentic next of kin as the children are minors. It was discovered that the man actually made his younger brother his next of kin four months before his death and did not write any will. The family members have also written and asked the office to stop any issue relating to the benefits of their brother for now and that they are interested in making sure those monies are used for the children and that the wife who already had a lover even before the death of her husband will spend the money and the children will lose out. The three children also came in company of the younger brother of the deceased to plead that their mother should not be paid their father's money since she is in the habit of leaving them at home without caring for them and that it was their late dad and the eldest child (a 15year old girl) who has been cooking their meals for the past three years. In this scenario, who is the authentic next of kin or who should be the beneficiary of this man's assets? However, the organization has directed all the correspondences to the Legal department to handle. |

he might have heard from God not to take any job that's whose pay is less than a particular amount, but Will God tell him to continue to be a burden to another family? Didn't the Bible rightly say that he who will not work should not eat? Ko ye mi o. |
The Federal Government has suspended the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) Adebiyi Daramola and the University's Bursar, Emmanuel Oresegun. SUNSHINE HERALD had earlier reported that the Registrar, Dr. Mrs Modupe Ajayi was suspended with the VC in the letter signed by the Minister for Education, Adamu Adamu. Findings by us however have it that it was indeed the Bursar that was suspended and the VC. According to sources within the University, the letter which came in from the Minister was addressed to the Registrar in error. The source who claimed anonymity because he was not authorised to speak to the press said: “When the letter came in, it was addressed to The Registrar, Mr Emmanuel Oresegun. When the Registrar however noticed the error, she called attention to it and a new letter was printed. “Information had however already gone out that the Registrar was suspended with the VC before the correction was made.” Recall that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had dragged Prof. Adebiyi and Mr Oresegun before an Akure High Court over allegations of fraud to the tune of N24 million. http://www.precisionjournos.com/2017/05/alleged-graft-education-minister.html?m=1 |

An Akure High Court sitting in Akure Friday ordered the immediate dissolution of all the 18 Local Government Areas in the state. The court presided over by Justice S A Sidiq also sacked the chairmen and councilors of all the Local Government Areas. Earlier, there was a shouting match in the court before the Judge eventually ruled as Mr Femi Aborisade who represented the People Redemption Party (PRP) in the suit filed by the party against the last year Local Government election in the state challenged the Judge’s actions on the matter. The National Chairman of the party and former Governor of old Kaduna State, Alhaji Balarabe Musa was also in the court on behalf of his party. Aborisade announced his appearance for the PRP, while Mr Akinladapo Ogunleye, the Solicitor General of the state announced his appearance for the state government. Also, Olusola Oke announced his appearance for the chairmen and councilors who were claimants in the suit. But Justice Sidiq in his brief ruling said he had earlier given a verdict that recognized one Mr Segun Ogodo as the counsel to the PRP. He said Aborisade should go to the Court of Appeal to upturn his earlier ruling on legal representation for the party. Aborisade stood up and said he was the one that filed the suit and has the right to continue or discontinue with the case. He argued that he was not served with any motion by the PRP to remove him as the counsel to the party. The counsel also argued that he has right to be heard as his client has not debriefed him. Also, amid other officials of the PRP said he did not recognize Ogodo as his lawyer and that he had right to a counsel of his choice. However, Justice Sidiq said since he had earlier ruled on legal representation, he would not go back to it, insisting that Ogodo who he had earlier recognized should be the one to stand in for PRP. But, Aborisade and Musa said they have an application to discontinue with the case, while the judge insisted that he would continue with the case irrespective of the application for the withdrawal. Speaking with reporters shortly after he moved out of the court, Aborisade said “the judge surprisingly deprived my client; the PRP led by the National Chairman, the former governor of Kaduna State, Alhaji Balarabe Musa, the most respected public officer in this country the constitutional right to be heard.” He said “My client filed the suit and the course of action has been removed with my client having being allowed to participate in the Local Government election, we have come to inform the court that we have withdrawn the matter. Unfortunately, the court is insisting that somebody else who was never briefed by my client is the counsel recognized by the court. “This is a violent violation of section 36(1) of the constitution. Every person is entitled to be heard at the court. I can only be heard by the court through the counsel chosen by the PRP. This is very strange, it is unconstitutional. But we have informed the court that what was done in this case is a nullity because we have filed notice of withdrawal. My client has filed an affidavit that he does not recognize Ogodo in the court. This is a new phase in our experience in our constitutional democracy.” Aborisade added that he has never witnessed a situation where a court would impose counsel on a litigant in a civil matter. Despite the withdrawal of the suit by the litigants, Justice Sidiq gave a judgment dissolving the 18 Local Governments in the state after he overruled all the applications filed by lawyer to the claimants. Akeredolu had filed an application before the Court to set aside the judgement delivered on January 18, by Justice Olasehinde Kumuyi (Rtd) barring the Governor and State Assembly from dissolving the councils. http://thenationonlineng.net/court-dissolves-ondo-local-councils-sacks-chairmen/ |
My cousin and his wife met at the University. They got married one year after NYSC. While my cousin works with Federal Ministry of Water Resources as a Civil Engineer, his wife was retained as a graduate assistant in their university having graduated with a first class. Three years after their marriage now, the wife who completed her Masters in 2015 recently got TETFUND scholarship for her PhD in Canada. The couple have made effo rts to secure placement for the two of them in Canada to no avail, the wife don't want to leave her hubby back in Nigeria at all, she said she would prefer to do PhD in Nigeria instead. The hubby is the easy going type of guy as I see him but I don't know why the wife isn't comfortable leaving her hubby behind in Nigeria. I introduced them to a Canada immigration consultant/lawyer that I saw online, but it was found out that he's more of a fraudster. Is there anyone in the house who can link them to a genuine immigration guys that can get the hubby a visa to Canada? Thank you all. |
