Foreign AffairsRe: Trump Again Calls Black Countries Sh*tholes; Swears At Mandela (BOOK) by solacecraig: 2:29pm On Sep 08, 2020
YEBOmadiba:
US president Donald Trump's former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, has released a new book in which he alleges that Trump ridiculed black world leaders, including SA's late former president Nelson Mandela.

The Washington Post reported over the weekend that in Disloyal: A Memoir, Cohen alleged that Trump described Mandela as a poor leader.

In the tell-all book, Cohen alleged that after Mandela's death in 2013, Trump said he did not think Mandela “was a real leader, not the kind he respected”.

Cohen alleged that Trump praised SA's apartheid-era rule, saying: “Mandela f***ed the whole country up. Now it’s a s**thole. F*** Mandela. He was no leader.”

Trump also allegedly said all countries run by black presidents are “s**tholes”.

“Tell me one country run by a black person that isn’t a s***hole. They are all complete f***ing toilets,” he is claimed to have said.

Cohen's book is scheduled to be released on Tuesday by Skyhorse Publishing.

Responding to the claims, White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany attacked Cohen's credibility.

“Michael Cohen is a disgraced felon and disbarred lawyer who lied to Congress. He has lost all credibility, and it's unsurprising to see his latest attempt to profit off lies,” McEnany said.

Trump has lied about South Africa in the past. In 2018, Trump tweeted that the SA government was “seizing land from white farmers”. He asked his secretary of state, Mike Pompeo, to study “the land and farm seizures and expropriations and the large-scale killing of farmers”. His claims were untrue.
Trump doesn't act like a President of the Free world. He talks off point most of the time and it's bad as a President.
CrimeTribunal Sanctions Doctors Over Three-month-old Baby’s Death by solacecraig(op): 2:13pm On Sep 08, 2020
The Medical and Dental Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal has sanctioned two doctors; Joseph Iyoha and Mukaila Oladipo for their negligence which caused the death of a three-month-old baby, Peace Oluwole.

The Tribunal said the doctors, who were arraigned on seven counts, were incompetent in the management of the three-month-old baby and failed to do all that was appropriate and reasonable for the treatment of the patient.

The chairman of the Tribunal, Abba Waziri, in the verdict obtained by THE PUNCH said Iyoha, who was found guilty of three counts, did not exhibit reasonable diligence.

The MDPDT said Iyoha prescribed and caused to be administered on the late Oluwole, oral chloroquine, fansidar, and several other drugs, thereby exposing the baby to multiple anti-malarial when the baby had been placed on Artemether injection.

The MDPDT added that Oladipo on his part was found guilty of two counts because even though he found the patient to be asphyxiated and in obvious respiratory distress, he chose to busy himself with taking the patient’s history for more than 30 minutes rather than attend to the obvious emergency.

While Oladipo was slammed a three-month suspension, Iyoha was convicted and admonished.

The third doctor, Obafemi Kuye, who was charged with professional negligence for failing to take any detailed or adequate history of the patient’s condition and failure to review or attend to the patient throughout the period of admission, was, however, discharged and acquitted.

The MDPDT said, “He took a salient and adequate history of the patient’s condition and made a note of them. The baby’s maternal history and post-delivery notes were all in the file. Dr. Obafemi Kuye should, therefore, be commended and not condemned for his competence and professionalism in this respect. He did no wrong. The Tribunal holds the considered view that he is not guilty on count 5.”

UNCLEOKORO:
You may or may not agree with these points but it's definitely a fact.

1. Praying Together:
I'm not going spiritual here, but you will agree with me that 90% of families that comes out every morning for devotion or late at night for prayers, hardly fight or hate themselves.
There is this bonding feeling that makes them feel loved.

In our relationship or marriages, if you pray together with your spouse, it won't stop devil from tempting, rather, it'll make you both conscious of the temptation.
Imagine in a situation your girlfriend/wife raises a prayer point "Almighty God, protect him from evil and don't let him fall into temptation", and you both answer "Amen".

It solidifies the love and gives strength to push on.

2. Language Choice:
It is advisable to start your relationship or Marriage with a language such as English. This is because, interpretation of words and sounds spoken, is direct when read by the mind.
Let me explain:

When things go wrong, between the two parties, and one wants to apologize, there's a great difference between "I'm sorry" and "I'm sorry!".
This difference can only be recognized from the tone of the speaker.
The interpretation of the recipient determines the next action.
There are many examples to relate this point to. In other ways, if you use local dialect, it may not really convey the intent of your feelings to the person you are talking to, thereby making everything sound unserious.
Example as an Igbo man, when a customer comes to your shop and you both interact with Igbo dialect, the business will have much considerations. "sell for me na, you be my brother o (translated)", but if at all you be like"Sir, this product costs N3, 000", the buyer can only price to his capability and either buy or leave.

So in our relationships/marriages using English helps in easy heart-to-heart communication and comprehending your partners thoughts easily.
Well said

BusinessFood Insecurity Prevalent In Lagos, Kano, Rivers, Abuja –NBS by solacecraig(op): 8:18am On Sep 08, 2020
The outbreak of COVID-19 has increased food insecurity in Lagos, Kano, Rivers and Abuja, the National Bureau of Statistics has said.

It disclosed this in its latest report on the impact of COVID-19 in Kano, Lagos, Rivers and the Federal Capital Territory, obtained from the NBS on Monday.

In the report, the NBS said, “Food insecurity appears to be prevalent across all four states, but especially in Rivers and FCT Abuja where 79 per cent of households and 72 per cent of households respectively reported having to skip meals since the start of the pandemic.

“Households in all four states are drawing down their savings and borrowing money to cover their living expenses, which may leave them more economically vulnerable and reduce their investments in human capital in the future.”

The report, which contains results from the second quarter 2020 Labour Force Survey, stated that the share of people engaged in economic activities in the four states was lower in June/July 2020 than before the COVID-19 crisis.

It said this was particularly in Abuja where the share of people working was down by around 14 percentage points.

“Even if some people have resumed work, incomes may still be precarious, with larger shares of workers in Kano and Rivers engaged in agriculture and a smaller share of workers in Lagos engaged in industry than before the COVID-19 crisis,” it stated.

The bureau explained that the second quarter 2020 Labour Force Survey was collected by the NBS between the 17th of June and 8th of July 2020.

It said the report provides crucial information on households’ response to COVID-19 in the key states of Kano, Lagos, Rivers Abuja.

This, according the bureau, could be benchmarked against pre-crisis data from the 2018/19 Nigerian Living Standards Survey.

BusinessCryptocurrencyethereum Whale Transfers $76 Million Worth Of Cryptos by solacecraig(op): 7:53am On Sep 08, 2020
Ethereum whales are definitely up to something of late; major entities, often called whales, have increased the movement of their Ethers in large quantities, as ETH prices rebound lately.

Data from advanced crypto tracker Whale Alert revealed an unknown ETH whale moving 216,016 ETH worth $76 million, transferred from an unknown wallet to another unknown wallet just a few hours ago.

As at the time this report was drafted, Ethereum traded at $354.36 with a 24-hour trading volume of $21 billion. ETH price is up 5.5% in the last 24 hours. It has a circulating supply of 110 million coins and a max supply of ∞ coins.

Nairametrics had in recent times, observed the high movement by these Ethereum whales as these large entities have purchased almost half of all the Ethereum mined so far in 2020
This is clear evidence that major investors are now looking at the future potential of ETH as an investment despite the recent sell-offs recorded in the second most capitalized crypto market.

In the Ethereum world, traders or investors who own a large number of Ethereum are typically called whales. This means an Ethereum whale would be a single Ethereum address owning around 1,000 Ethereum or more.
