Not really. The process has always been 3 years from application to offer letter. It is almost a tradition. You can call "those people you know" and they would tell you.

It has always been a 3-year span. The 2012 set first applied in 2009, wrote test in 2010, were interviewed 2011 and resumed 2012.

In our case we applied 2012, wrote test 2014 so the interviews and offer letter issuance must be this year 2015. They have never put priority on GT recruitment processes and now that they are preparing for a transition, all their focus seems to be geared towards that.

Whatever the case my people, don't lose hope. We are actually closer than when we first began.

Hmmm...from your analysis, I think it follows an arithmetic progression pattern...
The previous set had a common difference of 1year and ours is 2years gap...that being the case, we might be interviewed in 2016 and perhaps conclude in 2018(not praying for that though...)
Now I understand why I love algebra...it is so practical...keeping faith though
