For PH Centre, there is no provision for assisted service. I think once you are able to book an appointment, the icon for upload documents will pop up. All the documents must be in A4 and in pdf format. Note: You cannot change the location for your biometrics unless you want to cancel your application, ask for refund and start all over again. This might take a month or 2 to achieve.
At your appointment day, you need only the email confirmation of your appointment booking(printed), your passport and first page of your visa application form. You can also make a photocopy of your passport too but its not compulsory

Thanks a lot. So I should be patient and keep checking right? I submitted mine about 3 days ago, so that means I'll have to wait for about 14 to 15 days and hopefully I'll get a slot. The site is scary, how can one be seeing "no service" and "NO AVAILABLE SLOT", and they don't have an email or phone number so one can contact them. It's frustrating. In my own case, I submitted my application on the 6th of June but didn't get a slot until one opened for 20th. Just keep checking for available slot. Going to the centre might not help at all because they might not allow you in. You could send them an email via their complaint form but that will be of little assistance because they will still refer you to the procedure of booking an appointment on their site.

Just continue to check their site, especially at night. Note that TLS contact PH only opens on Wednesdays and Thursdays and there is no provision for assisted service

The reasons shared with you initially is why you can't throw your application again just yet. You have to demonstrate your situation has changed and not dwell on the sponsorship bit. There is a level of expectation the case officer wants to see from you an adult in your own financial standing, which is why you have been told to give it a break for now till things improve otherwise you'd be getting the same result should you reapply soon. Give it another 3 - 6 months.

It is not about cover letter. You can talk and explain unending on a cover letter but when there is no paper trail— not even minimum to back your claims, none of the cover letter would be upheld.
I also believe I told you before applying that this is what was going to happen…. But you started to say your ties included bar practicing dues etc…
I just don’t understand why we prefer to get the refusal first. Do not reapply. I emphatize with you.

2. Your monthly cost of living is high compared to your salary
3. You did not demonstrate ties to Nigeria
4. As a young adult, it is difficult to convince the visa officer that your sibling is happy to sponsor your vacation. You are expected to pay for
your vacation
5. I will not advise you to reapply now.

Thank you ma! It is my first attempt.
1. The monthly salary is not constant, in fact at times I earn more than 400k per month. I get most of it in cash from clients. All these I explained in my cover letter which was not considered.
3. Although I am not married, but I have a fiance, my dad and my dad's properties which I am personally managing. I explained all these in my cover letter and even provided evidence. In fact I even provided my current practicing dues receipt to show that I am active in practice.
4. My sister was happy to sponsor my trip because of what she is currently going through( she needed me around as a mother figure for a short period just so she can have comfort after the recent death of our mum) I explained this also in my cover letter.
5. When do you think I should reapply?

I received a refusal mail today. From the reasons given for the refusal, it suggests that my cover letter was not looked at nor considered at all. In the cover letter I explained in details all the funds in my account and how I arrived at the stated monthly salary. I am so devastated at the moment. Attached below is the refusal letter.

Please for those that picked Port Harcourt location. Note that there is no provision for assisted service. Upload your documents yourself before going for your appointment. Go along with your appointment slip/ mail, passport, photocopy of passport( it is optional though) and your document checklist. That's all

I was able to book after emailing TLS. Now I am faced with another challenge. These people put a premium center in Port Harcourt but no approved TB test center in PH. I have to go do TB and police report in Abuja omo! 😭😭

oh sorry… all still apply minus the Canada part… and it makes it even more difficult that you do not have the money to sponsor yourself. .. are you aged under 23 years? If you are very young, you can make a case by saying you are very young and so can not be expected to be married, own a property, assets, investments etc at 23 years old in a third world country…that most of the 23 yr olds or less in a country such as yours have same economic circumstances as you… hence you needing a sponsor… if this is not your story then you have to bring forth your own home ties.
Having 500k and no exact salary and more or less nothing to show to the ECO that would make u come back makes u very likely to be refused

Again, the nature of my job does not require monthly salary but just stipends from time to time and money earned from legal services rendered to clients. I have about 500k + in my account and the visit is just for 7days. My questions are:
A. Should I further explain the source of the money in my account in my letter?
B. Hope it will not affect my application negatively since in the application, I stated that I earn 170k per month as salary.
C. To prove country ties, will documents showing my annual legal dues/ levies of 2024 , my call certificate, identity card and leave approval from my principal( Head of chambers) suffice?
D. Though I will be fully sponsored, is it safe to say that I have about 150k to spend in buying gifts for my sister and her husband and minor expenses?
