Greetings everyone. Please I am writing this with a worried heart. I left my car with my mechanic to change oil and left to buy some other things for the car servicing. Coming back, behold I found my mechanic ( he's boy actually) pouring the engine oil through the dipstick! I almost collapsed. Though I drove the car home with no issues, I'm still very worried. Would this cause any damage to the engine?

You did write that you are a certified Accountant. Don’t you want to further your accounting career? there are loads of accounting jobs and you can school and work at the same time. If you’re lucky you might get a firm who will pay for your exams.

Try and master Java Programming or any other Top Programming Language before leaving Naija and if possible pass the certification exam before leaving Nigeria and half of your work problems is sorted before you leave Nigeria. In the interim before you get an ICT job you could try your hands at barbing (which you can learn before leaving Naija if you are artistic).

Care work job for a man is not something I as a man would do and i would rather drive a cab or work as a security guard instead. If you have a work permit, you can work as a delivery driver delivering food if you quickly pass the UK theory and practical driving licence tests.

But nothing beats getting an ICT job soon after you land in the UK (possible as long as you master a programming course preferably Java with certification exam passed before you leave Nigeria)

Its not easy for a married man relying on his wife as the bread winner in any country talk less of a strange country.

Also don't bring all your savings to the UK as you may need to dip into them from abroad if a job doesn't surface quickly n the UK and having that source of cash in Naija that you can call upon in times of shortage can be the difference between your wife continuing to respect you or seeing you as a loser and calling the cops to kick you out in the middle of the night so that she can claim single parent benefits (if she is entitled to such)

And btw don't waste your early months relying on getting an Accounting job as that field is oversubscribed in the UK with too many unqualified accountants getting a lot of the jobs based on job experience whilst there is a skills shortage of ICT staff especially Java and other top quality programming languages.
