8 Years After Representing Her Country At Miss Universe Beauty Pageant, Daniella Now Uses Crutches You can take away something physical but you can never take away the spiritual in the lives of some people. No matter what it is, they just rise, no matter the situation, they come out stronger with smiles on their faces. Daniella Margarita Alvarez is one person who showed up at a beauty pageant even with her crutches, she now graces any occasion with all boldness and confidence, even though she uses crutches. Now, this is someone who won the Miss Columbia beauty pageant in 2011 with her two legs, she represented her nation at the Miss Universe but in 2020, her leg was amputated. What happened? She explained the day before the amputation that “An artery defect has been discovered that prevents blood from reaching her leg, and also prevents her from using it in a natural way.” I will do my last operation; My left leg will be amputated with measurements to fit an artificial leg for me. ” Her husband Ricki is also very supportive and has been there for her superbly. It's kind of insane to imagine that people earn as much as 10,000 pounds on a monthly basis, just to be friends with a superstar. Brazilian footballer Neymar junior is said to pay his five friends that huge amount on a monthly basis. Please note that he doesn't pay them 10,000 pounds to be shared, as he pays them that amount to each of them every month. When you convert that amount to naira, it means each of them collects around six million naira per month. Well, that won't be a problem to the footballer as he earns about 16,000,000 pounds per month. Meaning he is not even paying them up to five percent of his monthly salary. A man who inspired a Hollywood film about the 1994 Rwandan genocide has been arrested for leading "terrorist movements", officials say. Paul Rusesabagina, a Hutu, became well known after Hotel Rwanda depicted his efforts to save hundreds of Tutsis at his hotel during the 1994 genocide. He later launched an opposition party, which had an armed wing based in the Democratic Republic of Congo. About 800,000 Tutsis and moderate Hutus were killed in the genocide. They were killed by Hutu extremists who were forced from power by President Paul Kagame and his Tutsi-dominated Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF). Mr Rusesabagina, 66, has received several human rights awards for his life-saving efforts, including the US Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2005. Why was he arrested now? He was paraded by the authorities at a press conference in the capital, Kigali, after he was arrested under an international warrant. He had been living in exile. The authorities did not say where he was arrested or give any further details about the accusations he faces. Mr Rusesabagina's name featured recently in a terrorism case in Rwanda. The court heard allegations that the National Liberation Front (FLN) rebel group had received help from Zambia's President Edgar Lungu because of his close friendship with Mr Rusesabagina. Mr Lungu's spokesman denied the allegation in a BBC interview. In 2011, Mr Rusesabagina was accused of funding subversion in Rwanda, but no charges were brought. At the time, he denied any wrongdoing and said there was a smear campaign against him. President Kagame's critics accuse him of not tolerating any opposition. Several opposition leaders have been jailed and others fled into exile. He says he is trying to prevent a return of ethnic hatred. In 2007, Mr Rusesabagina said a UN-backed war crimes court should put some members of the RPF on trial for their alleged role in the genocide. "I'm just a normal person. But I've always defended human rights," he said at the time. "I'm trying to be the voice of millions of Rwandese who have no-one to speak out for them." Elon Musk says the brain implant his company Neuralink is working on could potentially be ready to be put inside a patient within a year. Musk made similar claims in 2019, saying that he hoped to have an implant in a patient by the end of 2020. Neuralink's chip would be implanted directly into the skull so that it could interface with parts of the human brain. Visit Business Insider's homepage for more stories. Neuralink, the AI-brain-chip company spearheaded by Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, could be ready to put a version of its implant in a person "within a year," Musk said when recently speaking on Joe Rogan's podcast. Neuralink, which was founded in 2016, is Musk's neural technology company that's developing an implant designed to interface directly with the human brain. The initial goal of the implant, says Musk, is to use it as a means to treat brain injury and trauma. "There's still a lot of work to do," Musk said when speaking with Rogan. "So when I say, you know, we've probably got a shot at putting it in a person, you know, within a year. I think, that's exactly what I mean, I think we have a chance of putting input in one end, having them be healthy, and restoring some functionality that they've lost." The chip could potentially be used to restore eyesight, hearing, and limb movement in addition to addressing diseases that affect the brain, Musk claims. The device would be implanted directly into the skull to enable electrode threads to interface with certain areas of the brain, according to Musk. "It could, in principle, fix anything that's wrong with the brain," Musk said. It's not the first time Musk has made such claims. Back in July 2019, Musk said that he hoped to have an implant in a human patient by the end of next year. But that's just the early ambitions Musk has in store for Neuralink. In the long term, he hopes to develop a device that could enable "symbiosis" between humans and AI. mkmyers45 UjSizzle Cc Lalasticlala Ishilove Semid4lyfe Obinoscopy |
