cuteboy2:
This your list was compounded with just one objective in mind, to disparage one ethnic group. It is laughable. Not holding brief for any tribe you habour bitterness against. I believe they are here and can speak for themselves.

In your jaundiced mind, you conveniently left out, or you are ignorant of many solid businesses owned by people from Middle Belt, North Central, North West and North East.

What criteria did you even use to concote this laughable list. You just drive around copying names on fast food restaurants and sign boards to bamboozle NL people.

A few posers for you:

⚠️Did you bother to pull annual turnover of these businesses to use as a basis?
⚠️ Did you bother to check who are the majority shareholders of those companies. Or you took a simplistic view that the CEO of a company is the owner?
⚠️Did you contact NACCIMA MAN or FIRS to get information on the comprehensive list of businesses and thier financial status or strength in Lagos?
⚠️Did you do sectoral research to know strong businesses from dead ones?
⚠️ It seems you forgot MTN and Airtel. Who are the majority shaholders of those companies and many others you did not list, are ignorant of thier existence?
⚠️ Do you know about SEPLAT (that recently bought ExxonMobil) and other silently strong indigenous oil companies?
⚠️It seems you forgot to list businesses owned by non-Nigerians like Lebanese and Indians?
⚠️ You forgot the Ibru family and thier many silent businesses.
⚠️ Have you heard about GIG logistics?
⚠️ Have you heard about Ebeano?

I don't want you to have cranial diarrhea this morning. Just delete that silly tribal list if can't do simple research to gather information that is publicly available.
😂😂😂😂🤣

Pain is that you? You took your time to compose this long piece of gibberish and still ended up saying nothing or counter my claims with a more superior piece by posting your own list of companies.

And for your info those are just some of the few notable companies that pay huge taxes and create employment for the govt and they are obviously not all the companies in Lagos so you can do us a favour and make your research and give us your own list but that still don’t change the fact that most of the manufacturing industries, fintechs, financial institutions, insurance companies, real estate, media, entertainment etc are all controlled by the Yorubas grin

Yorubas are industrialist and captains of industries and we control the formal sector of the economy and that is no surprise that majority of This industrial are headquartered in Lagos, Ogun and oyo state which is the economic nerve centre of the country, which have also tilted migration to the Sw from other regions.

Ibos are largely traders engaging in buying and selling and those few companies you listed like ebeono and the rest don’t even pay taxes company like globacom or honey owned by the Yorubas pay in Lagos and this create massive employment for the citizens grin. So leave Cho Cho Cho and do us a favour and publish your own list show the ethnicity of the others or take a back sit……thanks for your attention on this matter grin

The question is can a typical Yoruba man leave Ogbomosho and osogbo and travel to south east. They are more comfortable in oduduwa land

E go shock you say the elders and leaders of that constituency receive training slots but they sell it to igbo people and use the proceeds for owambe party

The man can't be that stupid, something really went wrong
grin why should a Yoruba man leave his region which is the most developed and most economically viable region in the country that host industries with job opportunities and market, the envy of other region that host economic migrants for an economically barren and hostile land where people are forced to sit at home every Monday? grin NwOSU, you sef reason am now, he make any logical sense? grin

I don't wanna come off as arrogant, but some of you are irredemably ignorant. Interracting with you guys will rub my IQ on the floor. I'll leave it at that. Go read some history book, then come back to argue. Finally, congratulations for recognizing that Igbo is the second biggest demography in Lagos after Yoruba from all over the Southwest, Dahomey and Togo. Take this away though, and this goes to your other colleague, without Igbo industry, Lagos sea ports would be a shadow of itsself, including the airport.

2027 elections will come upon us, God willing, and we will confirm a thing or two. Finally, It's IGBO.
😂😂😂muuumu leave Cho Cho Cho and give us historical data with verifiable link to your claim that ibo migrated to Lagos in 1920?

You clowns will just come on the internet and start making false claims just to suit your false narrative……just like I said earlier ibo number in Lagos are so insignificant to deciding who wins Lagos despite your acclaimed population and they are just about 10% of Lagos total population and that’s why Chinedu lost the governship election grin

And lastly to your last paragraph……lagos is an industrial state which host a lot of manufacturing companies majorly owned by Yorubas and multinationals who pay huge taxes to government and also create employment…..this is where most of lagos revenue and taxes come from and not your 2*2 shop or petty trade business…..the seaport are used by this industries to bring in raw materials and also exports goods and also they service other landlocked neighbouring countries and stop living in delusion that without you clowns, the seaport will not function or give us statistics to your flawed narrative that you traders account for the highest user of the seaport? 😂😂😂

NwOSU, talk is cheap and anyone can come on the internet to claim anything but without data of prove to back up your claim, they are just empty noise…..Lagos is Yorubaland and their is no local govt in Lagos where ibo or any group out number the Yorubas and the political and traditional power is still determined by yorubas so you can tell this lies to the marine because no one is buy them btw proudly lagos grin

99 percent of Lagos elective posts are won by the Yoruba and during the governorship, this constituency in question was won by the APC, so you don't need a soothsayer to know that there is no local government in Lagos where the Yoruba are not a majority. So because one percent of Lagos posts was won by an Igbo now means Igbos and Yorubas are on an equal footing in Lagos?
grin leave that clown to continue to hallucinate…….he keeps manufacturing figures from the air…….there is no local govt in Lagos dominated by ibo and outnumber the Yorubas……Alimosho is the biggest local govt in Lagos and it is highly populated by the Yorubas, this local govt decides who wins Lagos and yet one clown seated in his 2*2 shop in Alaba will be telling us about Lagos politics and people 😂😂😂

Shut up, my friend.

Coming to the public place to rant only confirms you as being emotionally unstable. The whole world knows that the second largest ethnic group in Lagos state is unarguably Igbo.

That is because Igbos migrated to Lagos as early as the 1920s. They contributed to building the Lagos some of you migrating from your SW enclaves in the 90s and 2000 met on the ground.

My family bought our plots of land in what is known today as lekki phase 1 directly from the Elegushi family in the 1970s, where were some you and your people then?.

Why do you think Ahmed Tinubu lost Lagos, and Abuja in the last election?. The same scenarion is playing out in the FCT as we speak. While other well-meaning Nigerians firmly stood with the core message of his excellency and voted for him, including his Yoruba supporters, his Igbo people also broke in large numbers for him.

Those Igbos are Lagosians. Most were born in Lagos. A number of may not even speak Igbo fluently or know where their fathers villages are. But they know who they are. How do I know?, I've met and spoken to a good many of these brothers and sisters.

I know people like you hate to stare the truth in the face, but Lagos is as Igbo as it is Yoruba. Yes, Lagos is Yorubaland, but it was developed by all Nigerians and will continue to be inhabited by all of us until, and if the country disintegrate.

As for saying the rep member scored an own goal, that's nonsense. You are saying he is too stupid to not know who got him there in the first place.

Do you really think politicians are philanthropists?. Abeg, rest.
😂😂😂😂🤣😂

Pain is that you? I must really have struck a nerve…..see long epistles wrapped in false gibberish 😂😂😂🤣🤣pls can you provide us with historical data with verifiable link to your clan that ibo migrated to Lagos in 1920?

You can tell you that lies to the marines😂😂😂 Lagos as long been existed before Nigeria and even before we made contact with the Ibos……we don’t even share border and your region is kilometre away from Lagos and Yorubaland yet you laying claims to a false propaganda probably sold to you on radio biafla 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

NwOSU, the only privilege you are enjoying in Lagos is one Nigeria…..I’m a bonafide indigene of Lagos from Lagos, my both paternal grandparents are from Lagos, my grandfather is a saro from lagos island of the egba clan while my grandmother is Egun from badagry, so no be you go Dey tell me my history, so get your fact right before coming to SM to display your ignorance grin

Lagos is Yorubaland and the constitution only recognise state of origin and not citizenship or residence so your number of years spent in Lagos or anywhere still don’t confer you the status of an indigene so don’t be delusional and yes ibo have a significant population in Lagos after the Yorubas but their number is still insignificant to who wins Lagos that’s why Chinedu lost and obi won because Yoruba Christian in Lagos voted as the Muslim/Muslim ticket of Tinubu but the dynamix have change and mistake will be corrected in 2027….btw proudly Lagos grin

On the contrary, Nigerians are not divided. As a matter of fact, Nigerians are following the man who is Peter Obi to where ever he goes. There is no division anywhere, there is no splitting. Anyone not comfortable with this move should check themselves.
grin yes, many Nigerians are following him on twitter, Facebook, instagram etc that’s why if elections are conducted on social media, he will always win but reality is different from social media, sadly for him, religion will not sway like he did in 2023……..he will be lucky to win any state outside his 5plot region and kwankwaso won’t win Kano for him talkless of any state in the north……you clowns should wait for the shocker that await you grin

grin watch how they will avoid this thread because their hypocrisy have been called out……..they claim they are the most United tribe but we know is far from the truth…….I even experienced this in Lagos as a Yoruba and indigene when I wanted to rent a house…..an agent took me to a house and the owner was ibo, though he had already to the agent incharge that he doesn’t want Yoruba but just to clear my doubt, my agent took me there and my fears was confirmed grin i didn’t he bother to question are reasons, I just told my agent to get in the car and we drove off to another apartment though and it was even better than the previous one and I like it and paid for deposit because it was not fully ready then and like they say the rest is history grin

Apart from this my comments, go to the original post and see my main comments and how I lambasted my people.
Secondly if you meet me face to face, and they ask you to guess the tribe I am, you will definitely say Yoruba.
I don't look, behave and act like the average Igbo man, and I said it plainly that what the Mr Okey did was wrong.
So don't lump me up among the undoings of the Igbo tribe.
But I will still say it again, it was accepted in Lagos bcus it's a liberal state.
Tell me any other Yoruba states it has happened and I will give you one example from the east
grin see your flawed logic……..lagos is a liberal state still controlled by Yorubas…..like the poster said, give us an example where such was don in any part of the east? undecided are the Yorubas in Lagos not as same Yorubas in other Sw state? And they still gave a non Yoruba the privilege to power and yet they tell us Yorubas are tribalist…….2023 really woke us up and okey just scored an own goal…..this will never happen again undecided

They are Lagosians of Igbo Ancestry. Some of them have never been to SE, what is the fuss about. They are Lagoasians born and raised in Lagos.
grin lagosians of Ibo ancestry? Whatever that means doesn’t still change the fact that ibo’s are not indigenous to Lagos and never like be……..the constitution only recognises state of origin and there is a reason why that is been still used in our documents today……the covetousness and greed of some people will be there undoing, and this rep member just scored an own goal and as made the opportunity of other non Yoruba to achieve this rare privilege difficult to achieve going forward……btw proudly Lagos grin

Openyamind111:
Truthfully, the Igbo are entitled to produce a Nigerian president so long as they identify as Nigerians. But a lot needs to be done. First, there must be greater respect for other ethnic groups and a more accommodating approach in national politics. Second, they need to present a candidate with a proven record of competence and leadership, not the current content creator, who faced heavy criticism as governor and has shown little ability to manage internal party crises. Nigeria’s challenges are complex and shaped by ethnic differences and competing interests, so any successful candidate must be able to navigate those realities.
grin this advice is coming too late as those that need to take lessons from it are not even ready to take responsibility for their uncultured and uncouth behaviour which as been one of the reason the rest of the ethnic nationalities don’t trust them with power and unfortunately their pride and ego won’t still let them see this and sadly they will remain in political wilderness and continue crying of marginalisation grin
