grin when we tell them yorubaland is the most developed and most economically viable region in the country, they start crying and comparing their 5plot of unproductive region where they ll have deserted for Yorubaland. They say Yorubas don’t leave their region and travel. They want us to leave our prosperous region for uncertainty🤣🤣
Politics › Re: Labour Party Polling Unit Agent Dies In Lagos. Shot By Thugs. Allegedly. by SonOfDSoil01: 11:52am On Nov 14, 2025
Seun:
Fellow Nairalanders,

I was shocked and saddened to read an unconfirmed report on Twitter about the death of one of Labour Party's Polling Unit agents at the Trade Fair Area of Lagos. He was said to have been shot on Saturday by APC thugs during the Lagos Governorship election on March 18, 2023.

The report by @omoelerinjare said:
"Good morning all, it is with a heavy heart that Onyeka, one of our strong members and our PU agent at K1 lost his brother who also was a PU agent at the Trade Fair area of Lagos. He was shot on Sat by APC thugs. His body has been taken home for burial."

The name of the victim was not provided but his brother was named as Onyeka. He is pictured below, with the alleged victim of APC thugs. If this report is true, this is the first death resulting from the violent election day attacks against Labour Party members in Lagos.

RIP.
cheesy stale propaganda, the name of the victim was not provided but the name of his brother was🤣😂😂 so what is the prove it happened in Lagos if you can’t provide the name and no police record of such….you clowns can do better 🤣🤣🤣

grin NwOSU face your biafla, ijebu people are indigenous to Lagos, so are Egba, awori, Egun, ijesha etc they are all Yoruba sub groups from other part of Yorubaland, so what does it matter to you? Are they not all Yorubas? Btw I’m proudly a yorubaman of Egba extraction from Lagos, before you start crying grin

Politics › Re: Lagos Launches Digital Indigeneship Certificate by SonOfDSoil01: 8:14am On Nov 14, 2025
grin this is a good initiative from Lagos the centre of excellence. I can already see hordes of economic migrants from across the Niger crying out their eyes out occupying the first page…every news about Lagos Yorubaland makes them green with envy. We don’t share ancestry, customs, traditions, language nor do we share border, but they have made themselves the mouth piece and spokeperson of the people from Lagos grin they even know our history more than they know their own history….as a Yoruba man of the Egba extraction from Lagos I say this is a welcome development even though I as a person and indigene haven’t benefited anything from the state govt though my sister benefited from the bursary in lasu during her days as a law student. I hope this will be beneficial to the larger indigenous people at large eko oni baje oo grin

I’m telling you how I feel, you’re forcing me to do otherwise. By the way, who tells you I hate my tribe or not proud of it? Are my siblings not Yoruba or any of my family members or relatives? If I say I love the Ibo tribe more than Yoruba, is it a crime? Man you need to travel round the world and see how people love some tribe more than theirs. Okay, to bust your brain, I have a Fulani friend who once told me he love the Yoruba tribe even till now, he still maintained that position that Yoruba is his preferred tribe. What about that?
grin NwOSU, leave your fake stories and tell your your agbole in yorubaland and also tell us your oriki? grin Okoro Dey disguise 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

We all moved to the US , but until recently most blacks will never think of living in Alabama. In fact moce blacks moved up North after the slaves were freed because northerners were more accommodating in places like NY, Detroit and Chicago.
Even today, most blacks with good education and with papers will never think of living in Alabama, Mississippi, other. These are the more racist states. These happens to be some of the most racist states in the US.

Now, do you see many Americans moving to other countries? No! Because they know that the US has more opportunities than most other countries.
Same logic with Yorubas, why will I move to the SE or the North when the people in those regions are moving to Yoruba land on daily basis for better opportunities.
It's only logical for most Yorubas to prefer to stay in their region instead of moving to the other regions unless they find a very good opportunity. Which is what usually happens when you see a white person from Europe or the US in Nigeria or Africa. It's usually because they have found an opportunity that more than likely they don't have in Europe or the US. There's always an outlier or exception to every logic. So you will always find exceptions.
grin don’t mind our Okoro blodas with their cheap blackmail…….they want Yorubas to leave thriving region for their own region where they are all deserting for Yorubaland…..see reverse psychology, who no like better thing🤣🤣🤣 if their region was so viable for business, would they leave for Lagos and yorubaland?

the Yorubas' inability to even move to other places speak volume about tribalism. There's no part of the country you'll go now without seeing an Hausaman, Igboman, but how many Yorubas are ready to leave their shores for common NYSC? Like you initially pointed out which indirectly contradicted your current position; that we all travel to Europe and America doesn't make the whites racist-free. The ability to leave your zone, region and comfort environment for a different place shows you have clear and detribalised mindset.
grin why will anyone leave a thriving region, the most developed and economically viable region in Nigeria for a desert and unproductive, ipob terrorised sit at home region? Yorubas only travel to more prosperous and progressive environments eg Uk and USA, that’s why we have the largest number of Nigerians in those countries and in Nigeria go to Kano, kaduna, PH and see Yorubas in their numbers with investment and property. Sw is the number one choice of economic migrants for obvious reasons so why should Yorubas leave a region others people are rushing to, for an unproductive region? Btw I served in owerri and did my camp in Umuna bende Abia state and I can tell you for free, that Sw is far economically vaible than SE and the trend of migration from east to west as proven that grin

I totally disagree with you. The greatest influence on the mind is the environment. If you live in an environment filled with h*a*t*e and bitterness, there is a high tendency that all the person will know is vile and wi*ck*ed*nes*s.

I am not here to just any tribe o, cos all tribes have bad people and good people. But you see igb0, some of their culture is laced with wickedness. The OSU thing, na them, women doesn't really have a voice over there, women are treated as inferior to men. I have never come online to see people of kano state talking bad about people of Kaduna state, or people of ondo state insulting people of Ogun state. But I see igbo, you will see them castigating and fighting without themselves online. Anambra people act like they are the best Igbos, All other igbo look down of Ebonyi state people. There is a place called Mbise, they are hated by most igbos. And so o and so forth.
grin you are 100% correct. They segregate amongst themselves and point their hypocritical fingers at Yorubas. I served in owerri, I was originally posted to mbaise but the stereotypes about those people from their ibo blodas was one of the reasons I changed my posting to owerri. Most of my friend redeployed back to Lagos but I just decide to stay back in the east since I’m from Lagos and I wanted clear my doubt about all the allegations of tribalism of this people and I was not disappointed. It’s a very hostile region and I experienced tribalism first hand undecided

This thing you say. You’re very right. Although, my parents never taught is that but our neighbours did which I believe come from a place of envy and jealousy. Why? Ibos are fvcking industrious, smart, and business-conscious. Our parents are even friends with Ibos. I remember back then in the Southwest when we were still small living in a face-me-slap you, we have a lot of Yoruba tenants living in that house and only one Ibo tenant, can you believe that my sister ans I were only closed to the Igbo tenant in the whole building as small as we were by that time. I think I was 5 while my sis was 4 years of age. To me, when you see a Yoruba hating on Ibo, I see it coming from a place of envy (although I stand to be corrected). I used to say this for who cares to listen, Ibo is my favourite tribe in Nigeria.
grin Okoro Dey disguise, why can’t you just be proud of your tribe and claim it with your full chest rather than telling blatant lie just to prove a warped point? grin

The cyber space is awash with all their unpatriotic rhetoric and we don’t have to pretend it’s not real.
