To me oooo, the only states in the south-south geopolitical zone that make sense is akwa ibom, delta and maybe edo state. In terms of security, Rivers and cross river state no be am @ all.
Its always good to do thorough research b4 choosing a state.

There is a saying that the truth is bitter. Just had to let the babe know what to expect so she can prepare herself and avoid lobbying to be posted to calabar should incase she is posted to cross river state.

Someone made a comment on an nysc group chat i am in that for those that completed their registration on the first day, they will be posted to the second choice states they picked......... The person said its from a reliable source.... Donno how true it is
And that first choice will be given to those that registered late

Fourth choice was Calabar. I'm really hoping for Lagos though .
I think calabar is a good state . I've heard several good reviews about it. They treat their corpers right, cost and standard of living is okay and its an interesting place.
I'm crossing my fingers sha and you're right, you may not necessarily be posted to any of the states you selected. This was even posted on their website.

Babe, that calabar no make sense oooo. If them post u go calabar, May God be with u. Am from that place so i know what am talking about. Calabar use to be a very nice place b4 but recently, things are pretty expensive there and cult clashes / gang wars have taken over the place. As a corper, ur security in calabar is not guaranteed as u may be robbed on broad day light. Its even better to be posted to the village than the main calabar city itself. You would have chosed akwa ibom instead of cross river.

My friend convinced me to do so, that I'll get the chance to redeploy to any state I want after the orientation camp. The notice was even there on the website . Now I'm really regretting it

Since u have registered already, u dont need to worry yourself. Just take a sworn affidavit to camp then u can correct the error in your name.

Bro the truth is that i can bring my gadget to camp and no soldier will seize it but my worry is, its safety from thieves.

In the first place, you are not even sopposed to bring a gadget like laptop to camp. Except u smuggle it to camp, If nysc officials see u with a laptop, it will be seized from u and kept somewhere till after camping then it will be given back to u but u should first be concerned about safety than any other thing. I would advice u that if u dont have the intention of going back home immediately after camping, then branch any NCCF lodge in the state u posted to and drop ur laptop (am sure it will be kept safe for u) b4 going to the orientation camp. Safety should be ur utmost concern and camp itself is not safe @ all for a gadget like laptop.

Its risky to bring ur laptop to camp. It will definitely be seized from u @ the gate and kept somewhere till the end of camping....... But u can never be sure of its safety so its better to leave it @ home to avoid stories that touch

My brother, if u even look @ the timetable closely, we have between 21st to 25th of nov to get our callup letter and orientation course starts 24th of nov.Normally, call up letter sopposed to be gotten a week to camp but we have just 3 days to be psychologically prepared for any shock incase of any state we would not want to be posted to which we see on our call up letter (last batch, some pcms were posted to states they didnt choose).... ..... So no time to check time

I kuku dash nysc the 3k (i go still collect am back). I stay and schooled in lagos and would have opted to collect the call up letter from school but i didnt want any stress @ all from those pple @ students affairs office and the moment i log in to my dashboard and see my call up letter, na to travel the next day....... No time.
