On Wednesday 14th October, 2026 was a sad day for me. I lost $456 USDT. I was about to transfer 456 USDT to an exchange. I logged into my trust wallet on my laptop. I copied the wallet address from the exchange and sent the 456 USDT. I did not know that my laptop had malware. It changed the exchange address that I copied to another address. I did not know. I sent the 456 USDT. I checked my exchange account but I did not see the money. I kept checking. I kept waiting. Nothing arrived. I went back to check the transaction. That is where I saw the error. $456 gone like that.

I wanted to send to my address 0xE7f0...3f17C. This is the address I copied but it was changed to 0xA0b8...6eB48 and I sent the $456 USDT there. I had to resend another $456 USDT to my exchange address.

Revoke any smart contract attached to your metamask wallet and don't send money to that wallet for now.

I once did a Lagos to Dubai on an A380. It was such a delight to be on that flight. It has stairs leading to the upper deck for the Business and First-class travelers. The in-flight experience was superb.
