Hi, I have a degree in Social Work from a Nigerian University but a Masters in Public Health from UK. Ihave been working as a socialworker in Nigeria. Im currently applying to Social Work England to be able to practice in the UK. I want to know what my chances are of being successful before paying the huge srutiny fee. has anyone been successful? and if yes what are the steps to follow? Thank you.

Yes I just got registered with Social Work England within 3months, but preferably have all the required documents before you start your registration. I'm open to any question regarding the process

It's an accounting related job. I was contacted by a recruiter via LinkedIn. I was scheduled for 2 interviews in succession and was offered employment.

Thank you very much for this piece of information. This is so insightful. However, if you can help find out from Sophiat what her University degree was and how many years of work experience she has as a Social Worker, it will help in clearing some doubts

The university of Ilorin offers degree in Social work, its a 4year course and I believe your Siwes and maybe a year or 2year experience will suffice. Referees are very important too always keep in touch with them

Go to NHS websites, Indeed , Track Jobs and others. Search for employers that offer visa sponsorships for social worker and apply

The whole interview process has being postponed indefinitely, I think the governor has heard people’s complaints. The whole shortlisting was based on selfishness and not merit please let’s pour our mind on social media, there is power of social media. I’m sure they want to re-shortlist, God’s best!
