FG Applauds Citizens Quest, Releases N19.7bn For Completion Of East-West Road.

President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the immediate release of N19.67 billion to fast track the completion of the dualization of the East-West road project.

Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio recently revealed this. He made this known during a meeting he had with contractors handling different sections of the road projects in Abuja.

According to Akpabio, Mr President also directed that the highway project should be completed by 2021. This is so as to address the deficient infrastructure in the region and boast the economic life of the people.

JUST A PASSING REMARK ON TONY OKOCHA’S SECOND HURRIED RESPONSE.

It is exactly eleven days since I read the second response/attack on me by my brother, Tony Okocha. Since then, I have struggled with the burden of whether to reply again or refrain from doing so. However, after thinking through, I am prompted and hence decided to make these brief remarks based on the compelling need to address three main issues raised by him and after this, whatever he writes may not attract my further attention. These three issues which I will address alongside few minor but relevant ones are:
1. Tony’s hypocrisy about Wike.
2. Denial of funds recieved for the burial of late Majesty of Apara Kingdom
3. Allegation of bitterness with regards to Tony’s health survival.

It is also pertinent to note that within this period, certain unfortunate and unexpected events had occured ranging from the shocking news of a Portharcourt High Court order appointing Igo Aguma as Rivers State APC Caretaker Chairman to series of untimely deaths of well known and close personalities including the elder brother to my boss, the Minister of Transportation and leader of our Party, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi ( CRA). The death of Tony’s sister within this period did not help matters either and I have verily condoled with him on the loss.

Will aggression work for Obaseki the way it has worked for Wike? I am still asking whether this romance is a healthy one?

The support which Obaseki claims he gave to Oshiomhole gained relevance on the strength of the loyalty to the president because the leadership of the APC in the South-south decided to play along with the president's directives.

Whether the directives and the compliance is working a hardship on us is an answer which we can readily supply. That's a price for loyalty.

Don't forget the subject of this literary work of art. It's about the romance and the effect of Wike's aggressive approach on Obaseki.

Maybe, like some political pundits have taken to the game of COMPARISON, we're all ears to hear what becomes of Obaseki and to reconcile same with the case of Ambode. This is NIGERIA.

Sociopolitical Pressure Group, Network for Defence of Democracy and Good Governance – NDDGG has challenged the Rivers State Government to come out clean and absolve itself of allegations of financial misconduct published against it by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission – EFCC.

The EFCC had in May 24th, 2020 published on a national daily alleged suspicious cash withdrawals to the tune of one hundred and eighteen billion Naira by officials of the state government.

The NDDGG in a communique read by its National leader, Ambassador Sobomabo Jackrich and jointly signed by executives of the group Wednesday, alleged that from the report, the Rivers State government is shielding the relevant officials from reporting to the EFCC for interrogation citing a perpetual injunction obtained in 2007, barring the commission from probing its financial transactions.

“In August 2018, news made the round that 117 billion Naira of Rivers State money was withdrawn across Zenith Bank counter within a space of three years according to EFCC”.

Covid-19: Abuja Hospital Rejects Governor Ikpeazu
A private hospital in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, has rejected the Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu (Ph.D), who sought treatment there for Coronavirus (COVID-19).

The hospital, located in the Gudu area of the FCT, turned him down on the excuse “that they are into kidney transplant and cannot afford an iota of infection”, a source close to the elitist medical facility told News Express on Tuesday.

“Ikpeazu has been in Abuja for four days. After being diagnosed positive for COVID-19, he sought treatment at Zenith Hospital, Gudu, but they refused. They are into kidney transplant and cannot afford an iota of infection,” the source said.
