Politics / NIMASA’S Dogged Fight Against Piracy And Maritime Crimes ~ Okey Ibeke by Sosoboy4: 7:30pm On Mar 05, 2020
For many years now pirates and criminals of all shades and colours have been having a field day on Nigerian waters. And they have been carrying out their nefarious activities without much challenge from the relevant government authorities who have been fighting more with their mouths than with their hands.

But as the activities of these criminals reached a crescendo, with Nigeria’s waters and the surrounding waters of Gulf of Guinea being declared world’s number one piracy hot spot, the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has stepped up the battle to rid the nation’s territorial waters of these criminals. With its ally, the Nigerian Navy, NIMASA has been waging war against the pirates, sometimes winning and other times losing as the crime incidents continue to be on the rise.

Politics / Accusation Against Ikwerre Lga Chairman By Three Councillors by Sosoboy4: 10:40pm On Mar 02, 2020
It is quite unfortunate that three respected Councillors (Hon Freeborn Nyesom, Hon Barr Godspower Erum and Hon Churchill Wali) of the Ikwerre Legislative Assembly could allow themselves to be used against the workaholic Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, Hon Engr Samuel Nwanosike (JP), in order to score cheap political points.

The media inveigh against the Chairman by the three Councillors that he borrowed money from Access Bank and thereafter gave the bank plots of land as compensation or sold some plots of land belonging to the Ikwerre Local Government Council without the knowledge of the Legislative Assembly is totally untrue and misleading.

To put the record straight, Hon Nwanosike did not borrow any money from Access Bank or sold any piece of land to the bank, rather the LGA leased out part of the Council premises to Access Bank so as to build its office for the betterment of the staff and people of the LGA.

The leasing process passed through the Legislative Assembly and was approved. The proceed was thereafter paid into the Council account.

1. She No Longer Wants to Have Intercourse With You
If she used to be a machine but these days she doesn’t send, it could be that she is getting her satisfaction elsewhere. It could also be that she is not in the mood but if you can’t remember the last time you had intercourse with her, it might be time to get a clue.

2. You’ve Seen Evidence of Her Cheating
When a spouse cheats, they have a tendency of being sloppy. She may have kept a gift he gave her or you saw a text or you heard a phone conversation that alerted you to it. Don’t take it lightly. Women are emotional creatures and once they care for someone and then start having intimacy with them, that bond will be very difficult to break. Politics / APC Govs Forum DG Blames Oshiomhole For Party’s Woes by Sosoboy4: 12:25am On Feb 24, 2020
The Director-General of the Progressives Governors’ Forum, Salihu Lukeman, has in a memo addressed to the Chief Bisi Akande-led All Progressives Congress National Reconciliation Committee fingered the APC National Chairman as the source of the party’s woes.

According to the document sent to reporters via email in Abuja, on Sunday, the PGFDG noted that when the APC came on board, it successfully minimised the problem of the imposition of candidates at least for the 2015 elections.

He noted that it was sad that soon afterwards, old habits which was albatross of so many political parties before the APC, began to rear their head.

Lukeman said, “The old habits of aspiring candidates taking over leadership structures of the party and through that therefore predetermining results of the primary elections remained the case.

“Inability to resolve problems associated with management of 2015 elections have been compounded with more problems from 2019 elections. In fact, multiplicity of these problems has made us to lose elections in Adamawa, Bauchi, Oyo, Sokoto and Zamfara.

“Perceived weaknesses of the Chief John Odigie-Oyegun-led NWC served as the justification of electing Comrade Adams Oshiomhole as replacement to Chief Oyegun. Sadly, challenges of internal democracy and fair competitive practices during candidates’ selection processes in the party remained a dream.

“Now, clearly the problems associated with candidates’ selection process has produced what can be regarded as an electoral college. Citizens can vote but our Supreme Court will eventually determine the winner. All as a result of very poor management of candidates’ selection process by our party.

“Unfortunately, our party’s NWC is hardly able to come up with any reassuring response. The crisis in the party is clearly getting worse and worse by the day. It has gotten to a stage whereby the competence of members of the Comrade Oshiomhole-led NWC to provide needed leadership to ensure victory in every election has been eroded.

“We can win election and on account of some inabilities to competently manage legal challenges associated with nomination of candidates, we are compelled to surrender victory to our opponents.

“This is the narrative of the Supreme Court judgement of February 13, 2020 in respect of November 16, 2019 Bayelsa elections. It was also the case with the May 24, 2019, Supreme Court nullification of the election of all APC candidates in the 2019 elections in Zamfara State.

“In other words, our NWC can be described as a very efficient trojan horse that opens the backdoor for electoral victory to our political opponents. It is really unfortunate that we are faced with all the avoidable electoral tragedies that has befell us, all because our NWC has decided to abdicate its responsibility.”

He went on to say, “Part of the problem now is that he is surrounded by sycophants mainly from Edo State. Any attempt to help him through objective advice is condemned as betrayal especially when such advice come from people who were close to him.

“Many of those who claimed now to be his supporters and loyalists are people who only relate with him based on his position of power and capacity therefore to influence access to political positions. His success as a leader who is able to direct the party towards electoral victory is never their consideration except if they are the candidates.

“One cannot blame these sycophantic crowd around our National Chairman. But I will definitely express my disbelief at the way Comrade Oshiomhole has become all of a sudden, a leader who is intolerant to criticisms.

“His level of intolerance is so high that any disagreement or criticism expressed against any of his decisions or actions is classified as betrayal and therefore requiring disciplinary actions. The procedure for disciplinary actions has become so cheapened such that all the relevant provisions in the party’s constitution are violated.

Governor Wike should know in what high esteem I hold Governor Peter and Justice (Mrs) Odili whom I have known and worked with long before Governor Wike came into the picture. It will not occur to me to malign the person and image of people I hold up as role models.

“I hope Governor Wike or those working with him have not organized this protest with the intention of hanging it on our neck. To incense the Supreme Court towards us, knowing that we intend to approach the Supreme Court again.

Politics / AISHA Yesufu's Threat To Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi Calls For Concern by Sosoboy4: 9:43pm On Feb 19, 2020
Our attention has been drawn to video posted on Instagram by Ms. Aisha Yesufu, in which she, apparently speaking on behalf of Boko Haram told the world that the Minister for Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi is not safe.

In that video, she said to Amaechi, "YOU THINK YOU ARE SAFE BECAUSE YOU HAVE ESCAPED..." an obvious reference to a purported attack on a passenger train Kaduna, as the Minister made his way to honour his friend, the Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai.

Ordinarily, we would have overlooked the video as mere unfortunate rantings, but the choice of words in the video, and her obvious confidence that Rt. Hon. Amaechi will be in harms way, soon enough, is not only worrisome but deserving of a security alert.

Worse still is the very sudden death of the Chief detail to the honourable minister, less that 48 hours after the video went into circumstances.

We as a peace loving and law abiding people do hereby call on security agents to beef up security around the minister and also to invite Aisha Yesufu to explain in details the very essence of her video and why she is so sure that the minister is not safe.

We reiterate that as a people, we will not fold our arms and watch our son and brother, who has worked so hard, for this country, to be harmed. This will not be tolerated.

It is on record that Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, during his tenure as Rivers State Governor, restored peace and security to the state. This testifies that he values security of lives and property.

Crime / Worst Evil Bigger Than Boko Haram Looms In The North ~ Sultan Decries by Sosoboy4: 9:17am On Feb 08, 2020
Boko Haram insurgency may soon become the least security challenge in the Northern part of Nigeria as a greater danger lurks in the dark, warns the sultan of Sokoto Saad Abubakar.

The sultan has frowned at the level of chaos and orphaned children the incessant killings in the region has created, lamenting that the insurgency has created a bifurcation in the north which may metamorphose into something dreadful if not curbed.

Saad Abubakar has cautioned against the enactment of a security getup in the region, warning elites to resist any attempt by the youths to oust them out of leadership by legitimizing the new purported security kit referred to as “Operation Shege-Ka-Fasa”.

The security getup was divested on Wednesday 5 February 2020 by the umbrella of northern political elites known as Coalition of Northern Groups (CNGs). The group claims that the outfit would combat crimes in the district.

The formation of the Operation Shege-Ka-Fasa followed the unveiling of a security outfit in the South West part of the country known as Amotekun by the governors of the region one month ago.

Saad Abubakar has further blamed the northern aristocrats of not providing quality leadership the youths should emulate, thereby contributing to the calamity in the district. The sultan made this claim at a security gathering held in Kaduna.
