Crime / You Won't Believe What This Street Hawker Did After Seeing Prisoners In A Van by Soundgad: 8:22am On Sep 02, 2018
A Nigerian lady identified as Denike Ajitena has told a stunning story of a Gala seller who moved people to tears by his actions when he spotted a group of prisoners in a van stuck in traffic.

According to Denike, the prisoners were being transported in a Nigeria Prison Force van heading to Ikoyi Prison but were stuck in traffic. As usual, the prisoners stretched out their hands through the tiny holes by the sides of the van and the Gala seller's next action surprised everyone.

He took the Gala he was selling and began distributing to the prisoners for free. When the van began moving, he dropped his basket by the side of the road, grabbed a handful of Gala and ran after them to make sure everyone gets a share.

His kind acts got him the attention of other road users and someone who was moved by his action, shared the story.

Read the story as told by Denike below:

"I witnessed something incredible & humbling today. Just shows that you don’t need to be rich, or have a lot of money to be charitable.

"Driving past Lagos House/Marina exit, there was this Nigeria Prison Force van heading to Ikoyi Prison stuck in traffic (as usual), with the prisoners in it shoving their hands through the vents of the van & shouting inaudible stuff.

"Then I noticed this Gala seller shoving Gala into the tiny peeking fingers of the prisoners, one by one. As the traffic started moving, he ran across the road, put his basket on the curb, grabbed a handful of Gala and ran back to the Prison van.

"At this point, he’s running alongside the van, just shoving Gala into the van through the tiny bars. Even the Warden benefited.

"I was in awe!!! He couldn’t even see prisoners, just those fingers!

"As traffic freed up & he walked back to his ware on the curb, I had to stop him, & asked if they paid for the Gala, thinking the Warden might have paid. He said no, he just gave they because they were begging for help, that they were hungry.

"I could believe it. So how many Gala did you give them? He said he didn’t know, he was just giving them, not counting how many!

"Here was a poor street hawker, giving away half his wares, because random people he did know needed help and were hungry!! So what is your excuse I wish I had more money on me at that moment.... I pray I see him again tomorrow.

"I pray that poor Gala hawker will always find help at his point of need, and food whenever he his hungry, just as he met the need of those prisoners today." (sic)

Celebrities / Jim Iyke Debunks Airport Arrest, Says It’s Blogs Sensationalism by Soundgad: 6:45am On Aug 29, 2018
https://www.godgobless.com/2018/08/jim-iyke-debunks-airport-arrest-says.html?m=1

Jim Iyke
Nollywood superstar actor, Jim Iyke has debunked the reports making rounds that he was arrested at the Murtala Muhammed Airport on Monday following a bust up with a security personnel of Dana Air after having allegedly missed his flight.

Jim Iyke who spoke exclusively with Vanguard Ripples said there was no arrest of any sort, adding that it was mere sensationalism and mischief on the part of mediocre bloggers to get stories out without recourse to proper assessment of situations and thorough investigation.

“There was no arrest. I was running late for a Dana flight. I had a meeting scheduled at Providous Bank. I sent my driver and associates with my luggage ahead. They did all they could to delay the flight. I arrived terribly late and as my PA made to cross the security with my cabin briefcase he got into a heated argument with the personnel.

“I got to the scene and consequently missed the flight. We were all upset and ungentlemanly words were said across both divides. The airport police arrived on the scene and we decided not to make a public fanfare as tempers had died down and we wanted it resolved. We went to the office downstairs and resolved the matter like civil men in less than 30 minutes and apologies were tendered all around. The same staff were mailable enough to rebook me on the 3.50pm and even ushered me to the plane to exhibit their goodwill and lack of ill feeling.

“You must understand that these blogs thrive on sensationalism to attract traffic. Research and proper investigations or even to advocate for the take of both sides seem like an uphill task nowadays. The only element that holds sway is the obsession to get the news out first at the detriment of the truth and true professionalism, he said, obviously pissed with the way some blogs sensationalized the situation.”

“Pulse and net.ng had the commendable integrity and character to call first and ask my take. Apparently the others that posted were acting true to their stereotype. I’m an extremely busy man. This incident happened yesterday and both parties ended it on the most congenial of terms anyone else that is so caught up in their feelings to live in my hindsight is welcomed. I’ve pushed the matter to that mental recess that contribute to the lessons of life. Dana handled it professionally and I ended up on the same service back to Abuja to go about my business. All that ends well ends well,” he added.

https://www.godgobless.com/2018/08/800-metres-trek-fayose-mocks-buhari.html?m=1

The Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has mocked President Muhammadu Buhari over his 800 metres walk from Daura Mosque to his private home on Tuesday.

Buhari had after prayers and slaughtering his ram on Tuesday, decided to walk home from the mosque.

It was a journey of about 800 metres according to his aides who shared the news to reasure Nigerians that the President was strong enough for the challenges ahead.

The report has since generated a lot of controversies and comments from Nigerian politicians, mostly from those in the opposition.

In his reaction, Fayose suggested that the Athletics Federation of Nigeria should be involved in selection of Nigeria’s next president.

He tweeted,

“May be the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) should be the one to choose president for Nigeria since being fit to be president is only determined by 800m walk.”

Celebrities / THE REVIEW: Seven And A Half Dates by Soundgad: 12:01pm On Aug 08, 2018
https://www.godgobless.com/2018/08/the-review-seven-and-half-dates.html?m=1

Reviewer: Lydia Babatunde @lee_diah
In our opinion, this is the only Nollywood movie in recent times that is as good as The Wedding Party.
The movie, SEVEN AND A HALF DATES starring Mercy Johnson, Sola Sobowale, Toyin Abraham, Jim Iyke, Frank Donga, MC Lively and others opened at the cinemas on Friday, August 3, 2018. We saw it and here’s our review!
Good Story! The story is not so different! It is a reflection of the happenings in families around us. Just like the Wedding Party movie was a reflection of a typical Nigerian wedding. It was however beautifully told.
Great Picture! One of the first things we noticed was the picture quality coupled with the mood and colour in each of the scenes. It was a blend of the right emotion.
Music! A mixture of Humblesmith’s love and heartbreak songs alongside some instrumentals. What we loved was how the sounds came at the right time.
Acting! Give it to Sola Sobowale, Toyin Abraham and Mercy Johnson. They carried their roles well. Frank Donga, MC Lively brought their social media characters into the movie and it was well-done. Many in the hall were expecting to see Jim Iyke the ‘bad boy’ but were disappointed.
Audience Reaction! We saw this movie at two different locations and from the beginning to the end, the movie never had a dull moment. It was funny all through even for scenes that were not intended so. People stood up to clap at the end in the two locations.
The Review: 'Okafor's Law' By Omoni Oboli
Great Message! Seven and a Half Dates movie was funny but beyond that, it had series of messages for parents, singles, women, feminists and men. You may be too engrossed in the movie to notice the messages but amidst the fun and laughter, it’s there somewhere. The part where Sola Sobowale went on her knees and crying for forgiveness will get anyone.
We believe there’s more that can be done especially in how this movie ended. Would have made perfect sense with funfilled, Humblesmith on stage performing at the wedding of Mercy Johnson and ‘Jason’. Also, one of the dates could have been better casted.

Politics / Buhari Defection Will Not Stop Us From Voting PMB In 2019 – Kebbi APC by Soundgad: 6:24pm On Jul 31, 2018
Source:https://www.godgobless.com/2018/07/buhari-defection-will-not-stop-us-from.html?m=1

Its State Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Sani Dododo, said this while briefing newsmen after a stakeholders meeting of the party in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday.

President Buhari (www.godgobless.com)

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi says its members have unflinching support for President Muhammadu Buhari.

It said the recent gale of defections in the National Assembly would not deter its members.

Its State Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Sani Dododo, said this while briefing newsmen after a stakeholders meeting of the party in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday.

He said members were set to vote for Buhari in 2019 presidential elections.

According to him, the actions of the defectors are condemnable and will not hinder the party’s victory in 2019.
“They were the same set of people who used their brooms to sweep out the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2015. It is strange they have decided to go back to the same they dumped three years ago.

“It baffles me. These same people who were central to the halting of the drift to total collapse of the country under the PDP, are now going back to the same party.

“They have no any reason for their defection. Even President Buhari said that he was not aware of any reason for their actions.

“However, in the fullest of time, Nigerians will know the truth about their defection. They cannot deceive the people all the time,” he said.

Dododo said the APC, as a party, had no regret that they left, adding that it was good riddance to bad rubbish.

The APC chieftain said that other issues discussed at the meeting included collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) as well as unity among party’s members

Celebrities / This Are Lagbaja's 5 Songs That Will Always Be Golden by Soundgad: 9:52am On Jul 29, 2018

HERE ARE 5 LAGBAJA SONGS THAT WILL ALWAYS BE RELEVANT

Lagbaja resurfaced as the topic of discussion on social media during the week, but the truth is through his music, the masked one has always stayed relevant.

Lagbaja (Here are 5 Lagbaja songs that will always be relevant)

Lagbaja's headline performance at a recent event has got the music lovers on social media talking, but the masked one has always been here, the audience just was not paying attention.

Saturday 28th July was a night to remember at the Central Park Arena, Abuja, as the legendary Lagbaja and the soulful Simi took center stage to deliver a unique blend of music and flavours.

The veteran Afrobeat act was making his return to the top stage after a period of inactivity and this got everyone buzzing.

Bisade Ologunde, popularly known as Lagbaja (which is a Yoruba word that symbolizes anonymity) is a 58-year-old songwriter, saxophonist and performer, who has been on the scene for over two decades, but has not released new music since 2012, when he put out the project, '200 Million Mumu'.

Music lovers in the early 2000's will remember that era as the time the masked man reigned supreme, his Motherlan’ premises situated in the heart of Ikeja, Lagos was a religious home to lovers of good music.

With a discography of over 10 studio albums, Lagbaja's jazz-infused Afrobeat breathed new life to the genre and served as a viable progression to what the late Abami Eda offered during his time, which made it more appealing to the younger generation.

Here are 5 songs by Lagbaja that forever seals his relevance in the history of Nigerian Music

Outside the unique sound that he offered which he terned Afri-calypso or Afrocentric music, the mask was also one win for his brand that will always stand him out from the others, but it is in his music that many found life and inspiration and here are five from the lot that are evergreen.

Konko Below by Lagbaja (2000/Motherlan’)

The masked contemporary Highlife singer was a mainstay in the Nigerian music scene from the mid 90s to the mid 00s. Konko Below was a groovy number that highlighted Lagbaja’s deft touch of mixing several genres.

A timeless piece from Lagbaja and Ego (glamsquadmagazine)

Far Away by Lagbaja (2005/Motherlan’)

Lagbaja’s orchestra composition is a sweeping testament of his prowess as a master composer.

This was Lagbaja making his back-up singer, Ego, the star of the show and the result was orgasmic and endearing to the ears.
Gra Gra

A popular term on the streets of Lagos that translates to being stubborn was turned into a hit record by Lagbaja.

Infusing comedy to pass home a message, Gra Gra became an anthem in no time for used by people to relate with one another.
Suuru Lere

Lagbaja was as socially conscious as he was comical and light-hearted.

With Suuru Lere and backed by an animated video, Lagbaja called for patience in the polity, which is a trait we still need to imbibe among ourselves.

Lagbaja - Loko Iya won (Owole)

Lagbaja (Discogs)

In 1996, following the success of the Nigerian under-23 team referred to as ‘the dream team’ at the football competition of the Atlanta Olympics.

The masked man immediately released a song that grew into a monster hit nationwide and still evokes memories anytime it gets played. The song captures the team’s victory over their opponents at each stage of the competition all the way to the finals with well crafted ‘call and response’ lines and ad-libs. Nigeria may not be the powerhouse that it once was in football but like Lagbaja says ‘Ask Argentina, ask Brazilia, when it comes to soccer, Nigeria loko iya won’.

Politics / Oshiomhole RAPC Chairman, Galadima Says APC Chairman Planning To Kill Him by Soundgad: 1:53pm On Jul 21, 2018

RAPC CHAIRMAN, GALADIMA SAYS OSHIOMHOLE WANTS TO KILL HIM

Galadima also described APC chairman, Adams Oshiomhole as a usurper.

The chairman of the Reformed All Progressives Congress (R-APC), Buba Galadima has alleged that Adams Oshiomhole, chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) wants to kill him.

Galadima said he has proof of the APC chairman and the National Welfare Officer, Ibrahim Masari saying that they will crush him.

“Adams Oshiomhole, the purported chairman of APC and Ibrahim Masari, the purported national welfare officer have made statements in the press, both in print and electronic media that they will crush me. That means that they can kill me.

Source:https://www.godgobless.com/2018/07/oshiomhole-rapc-chairman-galadima-says.html?m=1

“So, should anything happen to me, the nation and the world should hold them responsible. They can use state powers to detain me. They can use state powers to eliminate me. I want this to be on record and I want this recorded. To crush means anything.

“They have no confidence in themselves in engaging me in a public discourse for the world to know who is right and who is wrong. So, they want to use extra means to deal with me. I have the papers; I have the audio and the video,” he said.
Oshiomhole is a usurper

According to Daily Post, Galadima also described Oshiomhole as a usurper.

He said “I have read the new national chairman say there are still PDP members in APC and they should go.

“Oshiomhole was not part of the APC. When we were signing the memorandum of association with other parties that formed the APC, Oshiomhole was not there. I didn’t see his signature and I didn’t see his face. I look at him as a usurper but I want to say; you know desperate people and drowning people can do anything.”

Adams Oshiomhole, had earlier dismissed the RAPC leadership, saying he will not be bothered by their actions.

Literature / Slave Trade Nigerian Writer Opens Up About Her Family's Dark Past by Soundgad: 10:47am On Jul 21, 2018

NIGERIAN WRITER OPENS UP ABOUT HER FAMILY'S DARK PAST ON SLAVE TRADE

Writer Adaobi Tricia Nwaubani writes about her family's complex relationship with slave trade business and slaves

moreAdaobi Tricia Nwaubani writes about her great-grandfather being a slave trade dealer (History Things)

Adaobi Tricia Nwaubani has written an enlightening and informative piece about the history of slavery in her family for The New Yorker.

Published on Sunday, July 15, 2018, Nwaubani tells the story of her great-grandfather Nwaubani Ogogo Oriaku who was a wealthy man. Nwaubani Ogogo Oriaku was a wealthy man who dealt in palm produce and the trade of human beings.

"In the late nineteenth century, he carried a slave-trading license from the Royal Niger Company, an English corporation that ruled southern Nigeria. His agents captured slaves across the region and passed them to middlemen, who brought them to the ports of Bonny and Calabar and sold them to white merchants" writes Adaobi Tricia Nwaubani.

moreAdaobi Tricia Nwaubani writes also touches on slave trade in Igbo land (ashmarkexclusive)

Nwaubani Ogogo Oriaku had a license to sell slaves that was given to him by the Royal Niger company in the 19th century. With his agents, he captured slaves within the South-Eastern region and handed them to middlemen who moved them to ports in Bonny and Calabar to be sold, white merchants.

Oriaku was so influential and important in his day that leaders in his community gave him their daughters to marry. He judged over many court cases. He was also revered among white people who had to cut a piece of their hair and send it to him to prove they were Caucasian before they could be invited to his home.

When he died, a leopard was killed and six slaves were buried alive with him.

Knowing about her family's past has disturbed Nwaubani.

"...I’ve felt a growing sense of unease. African intellectuals tend to blame the West for the slave trade, but I knew that white traders couldn’t have loaded their ships without help from Africans like my great-grandfather.

I read arguments for paying reparations to the descendants of American slaves and wondered whether someone might soon expect my family to contribute" she explains.

Her cousin Chioma feels more guilty about her family's past. "I cry and cry and ask God to forgive our ancestors."

Adaobi Tricia Nwaubani goes on to write about her family's complex relationship with the offsprings of her great grandfather's slaves. Known as Ohu, they are regarded as second-class citizens in Igbo land.

"The descendants of freed slaves in southern Nigeria called Ohu, still face significant stigma. Igbo culture forbids them from marrying freeborn people and denies them traditional leadership titles such as Eze and Ozo" she writes for the New Yorker.

"(The osu, an untouchable caste descended from slaves who served at shrines, face even more severe persecution.) My father considers the ohu in our family a thorn in our side, constantly in opposition to our decisions. In the nineteen-eighties, during a land dispute with another family, two ohu families testified against us in court" she further adds.

While dealing with the osu, many Igbo families who profited from the slave trade have also had to deal with the so-called spiritual baggage of profiting from the sale of human beings.

"Last July, my father’s cousin Sunny, a professor of engineering, visited my parents to discuss another concern: a growing enmity in our family. Minor arguments had led relatives to stop speaking to one another. Several had become estranged from the family. 'We always have one major disagreement or division or the other,' my father’s cousin Samuel told me.

My cousin Ezeugo was not surprised by the worrying trend. 'Across Igbo land, wherever there was slave trade with the white people, things never go well,' he said. “They always have problems there. Everybody has noticed it.” My relatives thought that our family’s history was coming back to haunt us" she writes.

In the article, she reveals that her family had to undergo a special fasting and prayer session to deal with the karma of dealing in slaves. She, however, mentioned that the ohu members in their family were not invited.

Politics / Ekiti Guber Poll Tinubu Says Fayemi’s Election Is Victory For The People by Soundgad: 1:13pm On Jul 16, 2018
TINUBU SAYS FAYEMI’S ELECTION IS VICTORY FOR THE PEOPLE

Tinubu made the declaration in a congratulatory message to Fayemi, the APC Candidate in Saturday’s governorship election in Ekiti State.

Source:http://www.godgobless.com/2018/07/ekiti-guber-poll-tinubu-says-fayemis.html

National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) Sen. Bola Tinubu, on Sunday said the election of Dr Kayode Fayemi in Saturday’s gubernatorial poll was a victory for the people.

Tinubu made the declaration in a congratulatory message to Fayemi, the APC Candidate in Saturday’s governorship election in Ekiti State.

In a statement signed by his media officer, Mr Tunde Rahman, entitled – “Ekiti Election: A Victory for the People”,
Tinubu urged Fayemi to avoid recriminations and run an all-inclusive government.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Fayemi won the election after securing 197,459 votes to defeat his closest opponent, Prof. Kalapo Olusola of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who got 178, 121 votes.

”Dr Fayemi must keep in remembrance that the people have placed their future in his safekeeping and he must justify their trust in him by doing all he can do to advance their welfare.

” I’m confident that Fayemi will keep faith with the programmes and policies of our party in order to improve the lives of the people of Ekiti.

”I know Fayemi will establish an all-inclusive government that involves all stakeholders in his administration and in the governance of the state, ” he said.

Tinubu said that the people of the state had voted to take a path different from the one on which they had been.

”In Ekiti, a chapter has closed and a new one has begun. This was not done by contrivance or artifice, nor was it the product of intimidation or improper influence.

” This came about because it was the will of the people of Ekiti as expressed and manifested in the conduct of a free and fair election in that state. In voting as they did, the people thus voted for themselves.

” Here, we must congratulate Dr Kayode Fayemi and our party, the APC, for the successful campaign that was run and for the confidence the people of Ekiti have shown in transferring the mandate to govern them into our hands, ” he said.

Tinubu said there was much apprehension and concern leading to the election that the exercise would fall into disorder.

”In the end, the election took place as it should for democratic elections are- a peaceful contest of ideas and ideologies.

”In Ekiti, two clearly different perspectives of governance stood in contest for the people to decide and decide they did.

“I make no bones that I am glad that Dr Fayemi and the APC won this contest, ” he said.

Tinubu commended the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Prof. Olusola Kolapo Eleka for not resorting to violence to get his way.

”However, I would be remiss if I did not say a good word about the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Prof. Olusola Kolapo Eleka.

”He conducted a tough and energetic campaign. He wanted this seat but, in the end, he did not resort to violence to get his way.

”He allowed the people to make their own decision and for his adherence to this democratic principle, he should be recognised, ” he said.

Tinubu also commended Gov. Ayo Fayose for not crossing the line by trying to subvert the will of the people through violent means.

“The same must be said of Gov. Ayo Fayose. He tried his utmost to bring his candidate to victory but he did not cross the line by trying to subvert the will of the people through violent means.

”Dr Fayemi is a man of integrity and his government will not be one of recrimination. It is a government of the people and as such will focus its attention on helping the people, not suppressing yesterday’s political opponents.

”I urge Gov. Fayose and Prof. Kolapo Eleka, as prominent citizens and leaders of Ekiti, to move forward in that same spirit. Let there be an orderly transition from the outgoing to the incoming government.

”Last and most importantly, let us commend the people of Ekiti. Casting aside all the dire predictions, they conducted themselves with the patience, sobriety and collective wisdom befitting the moment.

”Instead of turning things upside down, they turned to peace and mutual respect for each other as well as respect for the democratic process.

”Above all else, the election was your election and yesterday was your day! With the choice that you have made, may tomorrow also be your best future, ” he said.

Romance / Cheating Surefire Signs Your Partner Is Cheating On You by Soundgad: 9:03am On Jul 14, 2018
Source:https://www.godgobless.com/2018/07/cheating-surefire-signs-your-partner-is.html?m=1

Your partner might be having a side dish and you don't know

We can all agree that being cheated on is one of the worst things that anyone in a relationship can go through.

People cheat for different reasons, the most being, to get something that they're not getting in their current relationship. Most people say that it's easier to leave a relationship than cheat and that's true but cheating is almost like a drug, you know you're not supposed to do it, but the thrill of doing it takes you into a trance. One thing for sure is that once someone starts cheating, it's almost impossible to stop and from then on the relationship will go downhill. Sure, some couples have managed to salvage a dying relationship after one partner cheated but once the trust is broken, it's just never the same anymore. Have you noticed some behavior change in your partner? Do you suspect that your partner is cheating but have no evidence? Well, check out these signs that you may be dating a dirty dirty cheater.

1. A change of habits.

Maybe they used to come in at 6 from work, chill a bit and have a cup of tea or watch TV but suddenly, they come in later in the evening and head straight to the shower. While the change of pattern could be due to other factors such as stress at work and such, at times, it could mean that he's cheating.

2. They suddenly want privacy...a lot of it.

Suddenly, the phone has a password, they might even have two lines or phones and you have no idea. A cheater will never leave his/her phone unattended. It's always either in their hands or hidden somewhere.

3. And still on phones, is your partner always texting?

Something is definitely up.

4. Your partner whispers when taking some calls or walks away into another room, or the toilet...

5. Suddenly, they're no longer interested in sex.

And when they are, the sexual patterns have changed. Like, new sex positions or maybe your partner doing things they weren't doing before like whispering naughty things in your ears and such.

6. They are emotionally unattached.

They never seem to ask how your day was or show the care that was once there.

7. However, they will give you gifts randomly.

Erm, it's to cover up for the guilt.

8. And speaking of gifts, they will show up with new gifts every now and then. New watch, new earrings, etc.,

9. The business trips have become one too many.

Investigate those trips, those are the ones where your partner gets to escape and have a bomb time with their side in the name of business trip.

10. Your partner is spending more money than usual.

You may find a receipt of an expensive dinner or a huge transaction while doing laundry. Or, you just never seem to know where the money is going anymore, as they're constantly complaining of being broke. That's because the money is being siphoned into the side piece's account. Duh!

11. Your partner is more concerned with how they look than before.

For someone that didn't put so much attention into how they look, suddenly, they care about being well groomed and looking the part. That's because there's someone new that they're trying to impress.

12. You have noticed subtle signs,

Like, lipstick marks on man's shirt or the car seat being moved or a different scent.

Source:https://www.godgobless.com/2018/07/cheating-surefire-signs-your-partner-is.html?m=1

13. And when you ask about it or bring up the topic,

They deny and accuse you back. That's a cheater's defense mechanism.

14. Your gut feeling tells you so and you can feel it deep down that you're being cheated on.

Family / Relationship Tips 3 Things To Do When You Find Yourself Falling For Someone by Soundgad: 12:42pm On Jun 27, 2018
So you're attracted to another person that's not your partner, what next? This article provides answers.

When to end that friends-with-benefit relationship

» more 3 things to do when you find yourself falling for someone other than your boo (Curl Centric)

In an ideal situation, getting into a serious relationship will awaken your sense of commitment to your partner but it won't take away your ability to become attracted to other people.

Becoming a Mr. or Mrs. will not make you become immune to the charm of other women or men; and just like single people, your ability to feel drawn to good looking and appealing people will remain intact and alive as ever.

What, then, do you do when you find yourself falling for someone else? What happens when you find yourself becoming attracted to some other woman at work, in church, on your street or in some other space?

So you're attracted to another man that's not your boyfriend or husband, what next?

The three tips below will help you if you ever find yourself in this situation.

1. Minimise contact.

This is a no-brainer. Attraction feeds of constant contact and regularly visiting the object of desire. Staying away will not automatically get your mind off that person, but it is the first step to ensuring that you do not do something regretful.

You do not want to feed the attraction. You want it to die down, not snowball.

So avoid communication and contact as much as is reasonable.

2. No comparisons.

This won't help. Drawing comparisons between your new love interest and your existing partner is not an exercise you need. Your partner does not need that, too. And your relationship surely does not need this either.

There's every likelihood that your partner will lag behind in some areas that the other woman excels at. Making these comparisons will only make you dwell on those things your partner falls short at, and in contrast, it'll make the other person look more attractive.

You really don't want to be dwelling on these. It won't help your resolve to remain committed to your partner.

3. Always remember your commitment

In the end, you are in a relationship with someone and you need to respect that.

Constantly reminding yourself of this fact, and all the great things associated with the relationship will help, too.
