From my experience here (Chicago), most of the African men that I see are either with "unattractive" black women or white women(meaning very few are turning heads for a doubletake)  and  those are their easiest options because of the negative stigma that Black Americans have towards Africans in general.  Plus, I think Black Americans tend to look at African men as ugly and poor, therefore it would be difficult for an African man to integrate with a marriage in America unless his spouse didn't share that generalized prejudice or if he was financially well off ,as say, a doctor could be.

Thanks for the insight Ms.Chima,  I actually live in Chicago, IL,  I recently had a debate about this with a few women friends here about this topic. So I was just looking for some intelligent feedback such as what u provided.


I will say this, these marriages are leaving alot of children with no fathers here in Chicago. From what I have witnessed, is that after the marriage the fathers tend to treat the children like a joke. Many fathers even coerce their own children to marry their friends for citizenship.

I think as a rule. If you are going to use this method, I think impregnating the "fat/uglies"(as was stated) is a big mistake especially when you plan to divorce.

Also, I know of a situation where a female grew up(not born) in Atlanta, Ga. Had a good life and graduated from college. Soon after she discovered that she was an illegal alien from Jamaica. She was devastated to say the least.
Immediately the word went out that she wanted to marry somebody for $15,000 in order to avoid deportation. Eventually word got to one of my cousins who was hardup for the money. He decided not to do it and joined the US Marines instead,  I imagine this happens all the time. There are alot of people living in 'American ghettos that will take $15000 and run!

Its only legal to America if Americans only ask Americans to put a "ring"(bling bling) on it, lol, I bet if the US government could make  50,000 off immigration marriages per marriage then I bet it would be legal then, lol

Its funny how enforcement of American law sometimes remind me of those communist movies where the people couldn't even talk. Its like asking a drug dealer how much do drugs cost and then going to jail for asking. Smh.

its interesting, that Africans are met with the hardest resistance to these situations, but Mexicans do it everyday in America and very few people are complaining, its become the norms, but why not the African people?

I think $50,000 would be straight to the point, no fake love life, and absolute cooperation , I think this will be faster and easier if you could afford it. I also know you could be paired with a very attractive person.

I think the "free" method has been abused so much that most women nowadays view marriage outside of America as a scam.  I think paying is more straightforward, both parties no exactly what they are doing and what to expect in the end, no real grounds for drama!

nothing in life is guaranteed thats why you pay a little in the beginning, the middle and the rest in the end,

it seems easier for a man to find the fattest ugliest thing to marry but I think a woman would prefer someone more attractive and can provide safety

Why not use America to multiply your money and send it back home for investment?

I'm not saying its right or wrong. I'm not judging. I just want to know the price-tag you pay for a marriage?
